Newfoundland has its own time zone, a half-hour ahead of Eastern Time. When it's 7:00 am in the East, it's 7:30 am there. The province feels remote enough that most people rarely meet anyone from out east.
It's always interesting meeting people that are from out east like that. It feels like there's only like 4 people that live out there, but then you just meet people randomly all across the country that are from— it's very strange.
