In this YouTube video, Sarah Spencer introduces a brand‑new song titled “Love Happens,” performed live on a sunny Saturday in Nashville. The performance features Sarah’s vocals alongside contributions from a backing vocalist (Speaker B) and a hype‑man named Patrick, who lead the audience in repeated chants and breathing exercises. The lyrics critique superficial societal pressures—such as obsessing over makeup, perfect outfits, profile pictures, and social‑media validation—while urging listeners to step back, breathe, and let love arrive naturally. After the song, Sarah speaks directly to the camera, explaining that the track is fundamentally about self‑love and rejecting the habit of measuring personal worth through external metrics like likes, views, or party invitations. She emphasizes that everyone has inherent value, encourages those who feel single or unloved to be patient, and invites viewers to support her ongoing music creation on Patreon, where she shares acoustic recordings, behind‑the‑scenes content, and early song demos.

Hey y'all, it's Sarah. It's a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Nashville, and I thought, what a better day than to, you know, play some music. This is a new song, it's called "Love Happens." I've been playing it out around town, testing it out, seeing, you know, if people are like, "Boo, get off the stage," or if they're like, "I will clap." So it's been going over pretty well, and I actually really like the song a lot myself, so I thought I'd share it with you guys. It's called "Love Happens." 1, 2, 3, 4.
All her makeup on the counter. All her dresses on the bed. Gotta find the perfect color. Gotta wear the perfect fit. Yeah, it makes a difference. It makes her happy. So she tells herself, paints it on her heart. So prim and proper, got it all wrapped in a winch. She's lonely, but at least she looks the part.
Now everyone, take a deep breath. Putting way too much pressure on yourself again. Just close your eyes, stop looking, and when you least expect it, love happens. Woo! Patrick!
Yeah!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Another profile picture. Another flirt, another wink. People love somebody popular. Yeah, that's what he really thinks. That it makes a difference. It makes him happy. Yeah, it makes him feel just like he's really liked. Got it together. Now if only someone would take a chance on him.
I'm alive! Now everyone, take a deep breath. You're holding way too much pressure on yourself again. Just close your eyes, stop looking, and when you least expect it, love happens. Love happens.
Step back a minute, watch it unfold. It might be someone new, might be random. Could be circumstance, could be perfectly planned. Could have been there all along, simply waiting out on all the stars to align. Get that setup just right, building up into the rest of your life.
Oh, everyone, take a deep breath. You put in way too much pressure on yourself again. Just close your eyes, stop looking, and when you least expect it— Whoa, whoa, whoa! Everyone, take a deep breath. You put in way too much pressure on yourself again. Just close your eyes, stop looking, and when you least expect it—
Got some hair in the mouth right there.
That's what happens when you put lipstick on and you start throwing your head around and then the hair is It's just, it's out of control. So what y'all heard was a new song called "Love Happens," and I just wanted to take a minute, you know, after playing it to kind of tell you guys what the song is about, where it came from, why I wrote it, things like that. The song essentially is just about loving yourself. That's one of my favorite topics to write about because I think these days people don't give themselves enough credit. They measure their own value through other people's eyes or through systems like Facebook likes YouTube views and how many friends you have and how many people you can invite to a party, when really that's not your value. Your value isn't measured in things like that. Everybody has value and worth and everybody deserves to be happy. So that's kind of where I wrote the song, where I wrote the song from, where it came from. It's just sort of like, you guys, calm down. It's okay if you are single or if you're feeling unloved right now. You are worthy of love, and it will happen. Kinda take your eyes off of it for a minute, you know, take your eyes off of how you are measured by everybody around you, and just relax and realize that you're amazing and love is gonna find you. If love hasn't found you already! That's where that song came from, and thanks for listening! I will upload more music videos like this, and you can catch them all on my Patreon page at patreon.com/sarahspencer. It's where I release all my new music and I put out sneak peeks of new songs that I'm working on, things like iPhone recordings, downloads of acoustic songs, stuff like that. So come on down to Patreon. That's where I put the new stuff.
