In this short video transcript, a surgeon (Speaker A) explains and performs a PrecisionSculpt laser‑assisted liposuction to remove a dorsocervical fat pad, commonly called a "buffalo hump," on a patient (Speaker B). The surgeon describes the anatomy of the hump, emphasizes that it is excess fatty tissue rather than posture‑related, and outlines the minimally invasive approach: a tiny incision, local anesthesia, laser fragmentation of the fat, and complete removal to reveal a smoother neck‑back contour. Throughout the procedure, the surgeon provides reassurance, uses distraction techniques, and comments on the aesthetic goals—exposing the spine, achieving a sleek curve, and enhancing the patient’s overall appearance. The patient acknowledges the process and thanks the surgeon after the treatment.

Buffalo hump removal using PrecisionSculpt.
Good morning. Good morning.
So today we're going to be working on her buffalo hump, right? So really it's a dorsocervical fat pad, is an excess fatty tissue right over this lower neck, upper back, and it makes it look like she has bad posture when she really doesn't. It's just because there's excess fat in this layer. So I'm grabbing a hold of this fatty tissue. That's not bone, that's not spine, that's not muscle. It's fatty tissue mixed with some skin, but the skin is not an issue. Now, this is not something that posture can correct or certain braces or exercises. The only thing that gets rid of this is surgery. We have to remove the fat, but It is not a complicated surgery, major surgery. It's minor. We do it through one little tiny incision here. It's done under local anesthesia, which is what we're doing next, where we numb this. I use a laser to break it up, and we're going to remove this fat completely so that way this full look will be gone. So imagine this is gone. It gives her a nice slim look, makes her posture look better just by taking away this bump. We shoot for actually seeing the spine here. That's what looks the best, looks the sexiest. This will make this whole situation look a lot less full, and she's gonna love it. Chin down just a little lower. We're just reviewing her photos before we start, but we're gonna get rid of this bump. The more this is a nice smooth curve, even with a little depression across here, the better everything looks. She's gonna look very Very sexy on this whole back neck area.
We're gonna go to this room. It might be kind of cold. Forehead has to go all the way up here.
Perfect. I'm shaking you just to distract you.
Yeah.
Okay, but again, like I said, it's all very tough. It's nice. We have a great depression here. Looks really good.
Thank you.
You're welcome. You did great.
I had my neck hump removed yesterday, and there's 2 things people have been saying to me when they hear that I've done this. One is, you don't have a neck hump. And I'm like, yes I did. I was just really self-conscious of it, so I left my hair down. I never put my hair up. Um, I was constantly staring at it. When I'd be in like a Pilates class, I'd be like, ew, you can see it. My sports bra made it way worse. You could see like the little fat stuff getting pushed up. And the second thing people say is, I didn't know you could do that. Yes, you can. I went to Ideal Face and Body in Beverly Hills. They are amazing. I've been going to them for years for pretty much anything I need done, from Botox to other surgeries that I'm not gonna list on here. Yet. Maybe I will one day. But I just love them. They make me feel so comfortable. It was almost virtually painless. Like, the only pain I really felt was when I got home, once the numbing started to wear off, and then I just took ibuprofen. And yeah, the hardest part is wearing this contraption. I did feel like a little stuffy and claustrophobic last night, but I would 100% do this again, and I would have done it sooner had I known like how easy the surgery actually was.
