Good morning. So should patients gain weight before fat transfer?
No, I don't like it at all. That's like, hey, should I get out of shape before my surgery? That doesn't seem to make sense. Uh, when you gain weight, you don't make more fat cells. They don't divide and you make just this bigger, you know, it just makes the fat cells stretch out and get bigger and stretch the skin and stretch the cells and the soft tissue. And maybe it's a bigger target for the surgeon, but it doesn't mean that you're getting more fat cells. Because you go and lose the weight, they just go back down to size. But they've already, then they've been, you know, disrupted by all the weight changes. So don't gain weight.
