The Scott Adams School - 10/02/26 Fri-Yay!! The Home Team closes out another amazing week.

Erica, Marcella, and Owen join Scott Adams for a Friday recap covering UFO claims from David Grusch, an AI avatar that passes the Turing test, and why Bitcoin offers self-custody that banks won't. They also debate free speech after a radio host called a mayoral figure a terrorist.

It's so funny.
It's pumpkin spice latte season.
No Pippi Longstocking braids today?
I almost put them in. I just said screw it, we'll run without them. I don't know what I'm doing. Oh, and I'm so discombobulated today.
It's all right.
Let me know if my picture's any less blurry today. I can't tell on my end, so.
Okay. Did you do something to it? Oh, okay.
Yeah, I mean, I did some diagnosis of like, what is the issue? And hopefully it's fixed, but it might not be. There's another piece that my own Chester equivalent didn't have. It was telling me it couldn't do without a separate API key for some reason.
It was weird.
So I'll find a way to do it.
But all right, awesome.
If this is working, if this is working, then I don't need to.
Then enough said. All right, perfect. Good morning, everybody. Look, it's the home team on another Friday. How does this happen? I know how it happens, like this planets and the— I know, but, um, here we are, another Friday. I can't even believe it though. The time goes so fast sometimes, it freaks me out. Smar said, so far you look good, Owen. So that's good.
Cool.
Yep.
And what is a Friday anyway? I mean, it's just an arbitrary division of time, right?
It's true. It's true what you're saying. It is arbitrary. Oh, somebody asked to see Marcella at Yogurtland again.
Some reason I'm a robot.
Oh, that's true. Yeah. Oh, because you love robots. Terry's the queen of the robots. Yeah, she pulls in everything we say into one photo, which is great.
Okay, you guys.
So good morning. Is everybody coming in? I think so. Yay! We have all sorts of craziness today. There's no theme, there's no flow. It's just gonna be a choppy, chaotic mayhem, which is perfect. I'm in for it.
Hi, Heidi.
But first, but first, mm-hmm, we gotta do it. Ready?
Ready.
But it's gonna get better with a simultaneous sip, and all you need is a cup or mug or a glass, a tank or chalice or stein, a canteen jug or flask, a vessel of any kind. Fill it with your favorite liquid. I like coffee. And join me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine hit of the day, the thing that makes everything better. It's called the simultaneous hit, but it happens now.
Go.
Ah. That's a big mug he has there. Good morning, everybody. My name is Erica. You have found yourself at the Scott Adams School. Which is our morning live stream Scott left for us, uh, so we could all gather together and have some fun, talk current events, news, do some Scott whiteboard lessons and all sorts of shenanigans. We have on guests sometimes. Every single day is different. You never know what you're gonna get. It's kind of like life. Um, and so like I said, I'm Erica, and next to me is Marcella and Owen, and we are the Scott Adams School hosts. So here we are, Friday, October 2nd, uh, 2026. You guys, are you guys having your pumpkin stuff now?
Um, yeah, someone's birthday's coming up. I don't want to say, maybe someone.
Oh well, anyone who has a birthday in October, happy birthday!
All right.
Okay.
Someone turns 21 again. One of you.
Well, happy birthday.
Guess in the chat whose birthday is coming up.
Okay, let's guess. And whoever it is, have a happy, happy birthday to all the Libras out there.
Wait, I did the wrong hand. You guys, it's upside down. I'm sorry.
It's— we don't know what we're doing.
It's Libra birthday month. It's Libra month.
Yes. I don't like any of the pumpkin stuff, by the way. I like a pumpkin pie. That's about it. With a ton of whipped cream. Like, it has to have more whipped cream than pie.
More whipped cream than pumpkin pie.
Heck yeah. And that's it. But my coffee is my coffee. Yes, Scott Ritchie. Libras rule. Who is a Libra? Let's show yourselves, Libra. Who are you?
We're Libra adjacent.
You're Libra adjacent? Let's see. 2 of her daughters have October birthdays. Scorpios, please.
October.
Lucinda is Libra rising. Are you Libra or Libra rising? This has become like, um—
Who said Libra, Libra rising?
Uh, Lucinda, AKA Lucinda.
Where is that Lucinda?
By Kim Lee.
Oh, here, Libra. I'm— oh, you're a Libra rising. Okay, I'm a Libra, Libra rising. I'm like double Libra, double Libra, double the balance. Owen's like, shut up. Um, what are you, Owen?
What's your rising sign?
I'm a Sagittarius.
But your rising sign is—
I don't even know what that is.
Oh.
I'm Cancer Scorpio rising. Ah, yeah.
How do you know what— how do you know what your rising sign is?
You have to map it out.
The time you were born.
I can map it out for you. I would need to know the time you were born and the city you were born in.
Yeah, if you know that, um, you can get it narrowed down.
I could do your, your horoscope chart.
And what will that tell me?
It won't tell you anything. It'll tell us stuff.
But don't you already know that stuff? You could probably guess my rising sign.
I know I'm not that.
I can't even guess your sign. What is your sign?
Sagittarius.
Oh yeah, I get it now.
I don't, Owen. I don't get it. But you know, but that's always the reaction.
You're like, oh yeah, I can see that.
Can you guys tell I'm a Libra? Am I balanced or am I unhinged? I mean, you never know. All right, so moving along, moving along, along with my horoscopes. I know, right? All right, so listen, I do want to play this again. I was actually looking at this website. It's very, very interesting. So if you guys missed this the other day, this is so important. This is from Mike Rowe, and take a listen and think about who you know, and it could be you. So let's, let's just put it out there.
Well, here's something you don't see every day. That's me in a suit and tie 15 years ago. Testifying before Congress about the need for a national effort to reinvigorate the skilled trades. How about that hair, huh? Well, it took a while, but 15 years later, the feds got back to me, and today it's my privilege to announce buildfreedom.us. This is a brand new website filled with hundreds of thousands of AI-proof six-figure jobs in the defense industrial base. I'm talking about true. truly essential jobs building the next generation of fighter jets and nuclear submarines and autonomous weapons and so forth. The jobs are real, they're in demand, and so is the $10 million donation Build Freedom gave me so I can give you the scholarships you need to get the training required to land one of these AI-proof 6-figure jobs. These opportunities are real, so is the money at buildfreedom.us. Go get some.
That's great. Okay, so this is not, uh, paid for by them. This is not sponsored. This is go get 'em, America, because this is exactly the website we need because no one ever knows where to go. Like, we talked about it just the other day that there's no, uh, like help wanted ads anymore in a newspaper, and people are like, where do I go? And do I have to sign up for some website thing to find a job? Go right there, and what was it, Jim Wyman? Buildfreedom.us. Check it out. It's a really good website, Owen. If you know anyone, tell them to take a peek, and it shows like the base salaries for the jobs, the criteria. Very interesting.
Sounds awesome.
Yeah, it's really good. So good for him. Okay, so moving along, we just have again random stories today. Oh, this is one I wanted to do the other day, but we ran out of time, and I'm telling you, it's unlocked. more of my fears. So, oh, I have his name on the other page, but you guys, and there was a whale story that freaked me out too. Okay, this is David Grusch on Joe Rogan. And all I want to say is I told you I should be afraid. Listen to this.
And there's clearly some sort of base of operations in certain locations. It's large. Don't know when it got there. So it's large, large, like multiple city blocks type stuff.
Yeah.
So there's multiple city blocks somewhere in the bottom of the ocean. And it's like, yeah. Do you know about the Baltic Sea anomaly?
Well, yeah.
Yeah.
What's going on with that? There's some interesting stuff there. And once again, I will allow the federal government to deal with that one in our allies and adversaries.
Okay.
Yeah. But you did say that there's multiple city blocks under the ocean. Yeah. I will tell you, underwater people I know that come from that community, they're always like, you know the movie The Abyss, Dave? It's kind of a docudrama. And I'm like, holy fuck. You know that movie with Ed Harris back in '89? And so that kind of gives you a sense in a pop sci kind of way for people to visualize There is large shit down there, and it's like the origin is indeterminate. I'm sure we know a little bit more. I'm not privy to that. And, and the way we know things and track that gets into sensitive national security stuff. And, you know, the government may have to reveal some of that through some sort of acknowledgment strategy. The way it's been described to you, are these large city blocks or whatever the hell it is under the ocean? Is this a waypoint? Is this a stopoff? Like a port? A base? Stuff comes and goes.
Okay.
Yeah.
So this is like where they observe and— Yeah, I'm sure we've done an analysis, a behavioral analysis on it. And we probably figured out maybe the mission or whatever you want to call it. I don't know the answer to that. I'm, I'm as curious as anybody, honestly.
Okay. So I'm looking at your comments. What I can tell you is we have a very, very, very good friend who Is one of these divers, like you go down for, I don't know, it's like a month at a time. Uh, it takes very long to go down, very long to come up. Um, also like a bell diver, he does underwater welding. He did get injured doing this job, but man, oh man. All right, so we saw a couple of pictures a million years ago, um, that he had, but they have everything photographed and He said, "If you saw the shit that we know that's down there, you would flip out." And this was so long ago. And also, he remember when they did that thing where they dove down to see the Titanic? They found the wreckage. Who'd he who'd they do that with? I feel like it was like with Spielberg or somebody. But he was the person controlling the little like. the robot thing that goes down there with the divers in it and stuff. So anyway, he's seen it all. So it does freak me out a little bit that there's something like a structural thing, like a base, like a spot allegedly. But why not? Like, why couldn't it be underwater? Why do we think everything's up in the air? And, you know, Marcela, do you have— I mean, couldn't something be underwater?
Of course. But he didn't say where. Like, I don't know. I didn't watch the entire interview. I will. But Rogan, I mean, my first question is, where is this place?
They might have said it.
No, pursuant to Grok, he's never said where.
Okay.
So, so it's like, I guess it's base operations spanning multiple city blocks. I mean, it's like, I want to know where it is. I mean, his credentials— I was looking him up. David Grusch has high credentials in the US Air Force intelligence. So he's not just, you know, some dude, a Coast to Coast listener like me. So he's got gravitas in what he says. But, and he did indicate this scary part that the major disclosure will be coming at the end of Trump's term.
Interesting. Owen, any belief that there could be— I mean, I'm not saying— I know you don't believe in the UFO phenomenon, that stuff, but could something not be underwater?
I think it could be. I mean, in theory, I don't think there's any proof that there isn't. I think from what I understand, We've only mapped out some small percentage of what's in the ocean. So if there was something hiding in plain sight sort of thing, that probably would be a logical place to put it, especially if aliens had some kind of technology that allowed them to exist at a, you know, much higher pressure place like that. Because, you know, in theory, a lot of these disclosures or whatever you want to call them have theorized at least that they have some way of like Overcoming gravity and, and kind of— I don't know what it's— it seemed to be like described like they were almost like getting rid of the atmosphere in front of them or something. And so like, if they have something like that, or if there is such a thing, then sure, why, you know, it seems like that might be the safest place to go because you're not going to have a whole bunch of other stuff interfering with you and going where you want to go. But, um, No, I still don't really believe any of this. I, I think, you know, to me it's— my natural reaction is just I'm skeptical because it's like, okay, this, you know, could just be misinformation. It could be a whole bunch of things. I'm not necessarily saying that it's this guy David Grusch that's lying. He might have been lied to, and that may be a lot of this, is that, you know, it could be that there's some reason why they want this story to either be a distraction or to whatever the effect they want, that they may be feeding this information to people. Or maybe there is some real information and they want to put a whole bunch of fake information out with it so that nobody believes it. I mean, it's hard to know what's going to, you know, what the truth is because they haven't really given us any proof. And so far, all these disclosures have been kind of disappointing, I would say.
Yeah. I mean, I don't think, you know, a lot of times I look at those like very, very, very, very deep, deep, deep sea creatures that, you know, they've like sent cameras way down to see. And, you know, those are real. And it's like, wow, I mean, things that we would never see just because they live in like the black, black, black, black deepest parts of the ocean.
Mm-hmm.
Um, and what creatures they look like and who knows. So, I mean, like, I don't know. We don't know what we don't know. I don't, you know, some people are like, oh, Grusch is a grifter.
I don't know.
I mean, it's, we could call anybody a grifter if we just don't believe what they're saying, but it doesn't mean it's not true. So I don't know. I personally think there could be something under the water because why not? If people can be, or not people, but beings can be zipping around in the atmosphere at light speed and everything else, why not?
Do you think they're friendly then?
I don't think about it that way. I really don't think like they want to be our friend or like, I don't think they have a, I guess I don't think, I don't think they have like a personality like that.
Some are not friendly, some are. There's the Grays and then there's reptilians. One of the reasons why they crash is because there's an interfight between them. But anyways, ooh, girl, that's something he talked about, that, um, there's an alleged conflict between some of these non-human groups. So, okay.
I mean, I mean, there's just like humans, like gang rivals. So who knows? I mean, maybe we're just like the silliest of all creatures and they're like, oh, these poor unevolved people, like, when are they going to get it together? Who knows?
Uh, maybe that's why they've been experimenting on us, to figure out how to accelerate our evolution.
Where are all the missing people?
Which missing people?
Where is MH370?
What is that?
Whoa, wait, that's the airplane that got lost that no one has found.
Oh, I don't know.
All right, yep, maybe it's in the middle city block.
Oh, right, you guys, so funny. But you just never know.
All the lost scientists, remember that story?
Tell us.
No, the, the scientists that kept being missing, you know, still we don't know to Or found dead. Mm-hmm.
You guys, I'm just saying, there's a lot we don't know.
I could do thousands of hours of shows like this.
I'm already afraid. I told you about being in the ocean now in the boat and having a whale like pop up underneath me and like knock us out. But laugh, Marcela, laugh. It just happened. I just read this story and it was a whole bunch of sperm whale And one of them hit this boat, threw a woman overboard, did enough damage that water started coming in the boat. They were trying to patch it and fix it and whatever.
Are you serious?
Yes. They had to get into a life raft. 4 sailors. They got into a life raft and I forget for how many days. It wasn't like forever. It was like a few days. And then a huge tanker ship found them. And they said that they were like in a whole entire Pack of sperm whale.
Yeah, but what kind of music were they playing?
I mean, Owen, I don't know.
EDM.
Do you?
Do you?
You know, if you were just blasting Beyoncé songs all day, you know, maybe you were tired.
Enough's enough of Beyoncé. I agree.
No, no more Beyoncé.
Oh my gosh! So you know, my fear has been realized.
So is is my assumption correct that you don't kayak in the middle of the ocean?
Hell no. I won't even put my foot like over the boat into the ocean. I'm just like, I see what's out there. No way.
I had, I had some kayaking in one of these like river sort of places or bays. And, uh, we had some dolphins swimming alongside us. It was really cool.
That's fun. We have lots of dolphin here, but we also have sharks and whales. And I'm just like, whatever else I don't need to know about. It's scary. You can't see it. Anyway, we just turned this into Shark Week for a minute. Um, so, all right. All right, so UFOs underwater, I don't know, to be determined. We'll see. Okay, the other clip I wanted to get to. Oh, Owen, I wanted to play this, but I needed my white male here to play this clip. And you weren't here on Monday.
All right.
And then we went long with another story. But I wanted to play this. I think it was on Monday. You guys, if I have to see it, you have to see it. But we needed Owen here to discuss it. discuss it because the outrage is just crazy. Here we go.
We haven't gotten to the more perfect union, and we fought a civil war over part of it. And people have been protesting, you know, for hundreds of years, uh, that, you know, things were not as they should be given our ideals and how we should be, uh, moving toward them. So I think that's what makes us so special as a country. And the idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was dominated by, you know, let's say it, white men of a certain persuasion, a certain religion, a certain point of view, a certain ideology, is just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for. And we were on the path toward that. I mean, imperfectly, lots of Lots of bumps along the way, but I agree with you. We were on the right trajectory.
Let me, let me ask.
What the fuck is wrong with these people? Owen, just go ahead.
Well, I noticed that she kept saying there was some sort of perfect union that they were shooting for, but she never really said what that was. She seemed to be willing to single out white men. as the problem, but never said what it should be. Like, what exactly was she saying is this perfect union that we're shooting for? And, um, you know, to me, the only way I can interpret that is to say the only agenda she has is to get rid of white men.
Christian men too.
Yeah, well, I mean, I think when she said religion, she meant like, you know, WASP sort of thing, like, you know, white Anglo-Saxon Protestant, whatever, and probably more generally Christian. Um, because, you know, we've seen how the left attacks Christians of all types. And so it seems like it's this whole tired notion of saying they need to destroy the patriarchy. That it's like, I, I feel like that wave is done. It's over. It's too late. They, they had their time.
Owen, are you hitting your microphone?
No, I'm not.
Oh, maybe it was Marcellus. Okay, go ahead.
It was me.
Oh, sorry. Okay, it was so loud. Sorry.
I needed attention.
No, I just, I feel like that whole feminist wave that she's probably still sticking to is just that, that time is gone. Like, I don't think people are willing to be cowed to these people that are saying, oh, women need a turn, because it's like they, they have their turn now. That it's like they're already more than half, more than half the workforce. They're more than half of what's in colleges. They have still have an advantage when it comes to getting jobs and, and other things, and It, you know, there's— it's just reality doesn't match what she's arguing for, right?
I know, it was so disgusting. And I'm just like, God, they don't even hide it. And, you know, it's like, did Bill hate her before she acted like this or after? I mean, if he— I get it, I get it, Bill. Bill, I get it. Oh, I'm with you. Um, Marcella, go ahead on Hillary.
I love how we talk about aliens and then we play their reptilian queen right after. Uh, that's just like epic, Erica. That's epic. Um, did you see Mika Brzezinski? She's like, like far away from her, like kind of scared of her. Joe didn't say anything to her even though she was talking badly about white males, which he, I think, is. Yeah, or Will Geist. I don't know, Willie, Willie Geist. But she's just, um, you know, just let her— you know, my, my, my idea is that she might be thinking of running. Why is she doing so much press?
I don't know.
You're gonna imagine having her on the ticket, um, as well as Kamala, like, uh, seeing her run at the same time. I would love to see that debate.
That would be the queen.
Fight them, fight it out.
Oh my God, the, the bitch-ass fight those two would have. I gotta bring it back to bitch-ass. Who started me on bitch-ass? Joel. Okay, um, not that that's not a very Jersey thing to say, but we follow it up with one more word in New Jersey. But whatever. Um, all right, so I had to do that, Owen. I had to wait for you. And it's just so sickening. And I think about, like, I think about Democrat women, like the Karens, the awfuls. That have sons. And I'm just like, how do you still pull the lever for these people? Like, you're so disgusting.
So anyway, I often wonder the same thing. I don't understand how people with white male children can be so anti-white male. I don't understand it. It's like, it seems it's— I would think your motherly instinct would dominate that or take that over. And it doesn't. Seem to in many cases where it's like you're, you're, you're kind of still just gonna hate white men. And I don't know if there's like some disconnect where you're just putting your kids in another bucket in your mind, or if you actually have some hatred towards your own kids. I, I mean, I don't understand it. It doesn't make any sense to me.
They're the same people that are all for Lindsay Clancy and, uh, you know, bending over backwards to make it like her husband did it. Okay. Um, so that's, that's what you're dealing— no, really, it's like, it's a mental disorder. I mean, I mean, people are broken. I, I think social media broke them and their narcissism and their egos and TikTok and all of it. You're, you're broken, ladies. You're broken. Um, so, okay, so I, I like that. Do you guys like this, like, whole little this and that? Marcella, now let's do, um, your— what is the, what is the character's name?
Um, uh, Griffin.
Griffin. Griffin. Should we do Griffin?
Yeah, let's do it.
All right, let me make sure I have Griffin. Where'd Griffin go?
Let's do Griffin. Let's do—
oh, Griffin's— Griffin's not showing up here, so we'll, we'll do Griffin in one second. Okay, so just reenact Griffin. I know, I'm gonna hit refresh.
She left us.
Apparently, that's a surgical operation here. You gotta get things resurrected.
You could do that. You could leave us and then come back for a second.
Rumbles very odd.
We're separated now.
Ah, all right. So Griffin still in between us. So let's do this. So this this one's for me, you guys. This is Sid Rosenberg and. I want to play him. He was on Fox and Friends, I guess that's what it's called, is that the morning show, Fox and Friends? And I'm playing him because he is like a New York staple, okay? He's been in the city forever. He has the number one radio show forever in New York on WABC Radio. And I just resonate with his frustration. And he's talking about— Mom Donnie. And did somebody just say in the chat today that he got security clearance, Bondami, for classified information? If that's true, someone fact-check me on that while we play this. But here's Sid just releasing the valve for me a little.
People are very nice people, but trying to talk to me and Mom Donnie is like trying to talk to the IRGC, okay? This guy is a terrorist. That's the bottom line. I'll say it. You don't want to say it? I'll say it. He's a terrorist, he's a jihadist, he hates the Jewish people, he hates America, he hates the Italian people, he hates the Irish people, he hates the German people. Unless you're Muslim, Mayor Mamdani has no use for you. He is a horrible person and maybe has perpetrated the worst American and Jewish hate in the history of this country. Those 2 people stabbed the other day on the Upper West Side of New York City, that blood is on his hands. That blood is on your hands, Mayor Mamdani. We gotta find a way to get this guy out of here. Maybe Dr. Nnamdi Wole is right. Maybe that election wasn't what it looked like on paper. Maybe he really didn't win. But either way, this guy is the worst thing to happen to New York politics, maybe in the history of our state. He's a lowlife.
I mean, I think you may be a bit over your skis in calling him, labeling him a terrorist, and you're probably gonna get flagged for that.
Why? Why? Why? Let me ask you this. Hold on, hold on. Cuz the New Yorkers elected this guy. Who cares?
They knew everything about him before.
Predictable.
You talked about predictability.
This is a predictable—
Let me ask you this. The Hamas guys that are in Qatar right now, they've never put on a bullet— excuse me, an explosive vest. They've never shot anybody. Would you consider those guys terrorists? Because I would. Okay, so his ideologies are in line with the terrorists. Mahmoud Khalil is a campus terrorist. You don't have to kill somebody to be a terrorist. You have to share the ideology. That's what this guy is. He's no better than the person who actually goes and shoots somebody because he respects that person. He likes that person. That makes him one of them.
It's just remarkable.
So good for you, Sid. You know what? It's, it's that honey badger thing. Speak up, say your thing. And I also want to point out to people that Sid is absolutely representative of the New York— the New Yorker, okay? And the mentality and the personality. And so when people are like, Trump's so this and so that, That's New York. So that's— that feels very normal to me, the way Sid is speaking. Um, so I like that he got to get in there as a New Yorker talking about the city that he loves, that he works in, that he lives in. And, um, I, I like that he did it. I like that he got that segment in there. Marcella, do you feel like he went too far?
No, I think more people should have spoken out before this happened. Um, I love him. What's his name? Sid, uh, what's his last name?
Sid Rosenberg.
He looks like he was like a bodybuilder or a professional wrestler or something.
He's like, he's the— so he's on WABC Radio. He has the number one show and, um, he's, he's a staple in New York forever. And a lot of you don't know, but, um, I was a CMO at a media marketing— not marketing, but a media company in New York and New Jersey. And so WABC and iHeartRadio and all these places. So we got to like meet and hang out with these people, and he's just the real deal. Like, just— he's like a Rudy Giuliani. Like, he loves the city, you know? Like, he like lives, eats, breathes it. And so it's, um, it's just— it's really sad to, to just see like your true American New Yorkers like just falling apart like this. And yes, Marcel, I agree, more should speak out.
And I did check. I was just going to say, it looks like, yeah, it was apparently the way the story is saying it. It's like, oh, it took 9 months for him to get clearance. So I think it's a normal thing for the mayor of New York to have this security clearance, and it's so that they can be briefed on potential terror threats and things like that. And so it's not a huge story in my opinion. Other than maybe just the fact that, you know, do you want Mondani to have that clearance? But I don't think it means like he suddenly has access to all kinds of classified records that he can go do whatever he wants with. Like, I think it's— he's allowed to have these briefings now. Like, when we choose— the federal government chooses to give him those briefings, they can do it now because he has clearance. But it doesn't mean he just gets whatever access he wants to things. And also, it is— he isn't the first one to have this kind of delay. There's been other mayors that have had a delay in getting the clearance too. So I don't think there's really a huge controversy around this, but that's of course how the media portrays it as, oh, it took 9 months to get him clearance. It's this big drama. And, you know, depending on what side you're on, you're thinking it's a terrible thing that he got clearance, or you're thinking, why did it take so long? And, you know, what risk have we been taking all this time? But, um, I, I think it's— to me, it sounds like a standard thing that you would have a major city mayor that is able to get briefed on terrorist threats.
Who's going to brief Zoron on Zoron when there's a terrorist threat from Zoron? I'm kidding.
Yeah. But I mean, in terms of what Sid was saying, I kind of agree. I mean, I don't think you necessarily have to be the one blowing something up to be called a terrorist. And Osama bin Laden wasn't the one strapping something to himself to blow people up, right? Um, but I, you know, and I thought it was weird how the Fox person was like, well, but they knew all this and, and they elected him anyway. It's like, so what? Like, I, I mean, it sounded like he was saying you shouldn't call him a terrorist because people elected him. I'm like, what?
What?
That doesn't make any sense. Those two things are completely unrelated in my mind.
Yeah, they're just a bunch of— I was gonna say pussies. I'm kidding. Anyway, there's just a bunch of wimps sitting on that couch. Everyone's like, oh, I can't, you know, and they can't talk. That's why you can't even listen to the news there. You have to listen to independent news podcasts, you know, people that are not held down by corporations. Like Fox News is a fricking joke because they have their advertisers and their sponsors. So we can't say that. Or maybe the one person who runs the company is like, nope, I've got friends and people that won't like that. So. You know, I like that Sid took the opportunity to go off, and yeah, like the host was like, "Oh, I better rein this in or we're all going to be in trouble." Well, too bad Sid said what he said. So hopefully they'll have him back every week to say some more. And someone else that spoke out that I was glad to hear this, and Marcella, I'm going to try to get Griffin in here. I love or said like Charles Barkley. He's a lovable guy. You know, like he's. He's a, he's a fun guy, um, not like a mushroom. And so he was on with Chris Cuomo. I'm sorry, I have to show you Chris Cuomo's face, but it's worth it to hear what Barkley said. Here we go.
Listen, I'm an independent who, who's voted Democratic most of the time. You think that I'm gonna get on TV and kill my credibility saying every Democratic— like, some of these people out here talking about no ICE, No prison. So using words like socialism, like, no, I don't believe in that. Wait, wait, no cops? I think that's some of the stupidest shit I've ever heard. Well, what are we going to do without cops? What are we going to do without prisons? I've seen some of these politicians, I'm like, this is the stupidest shit ever. And a lot of them, most of them, well, let me take it back, all of them have been Democrats. I think that's some of the stupidest shit I ever heard. Now, ICE has to do a much better job. Much better job. We need to— we need a— like, we can't just let people come across the border. We can't do that. But ICE has to do a better job. We need immigrants in this country. They're some of the most amazing, hardworking people in the world. But we need to get rid of the crooked immigrants. I don't even understand. You need to have ID when you go vote. Some of this stuff, wait, Democrats said no, when you go vote, you need ID.
All right, good for you. Oh, Stella's here. Good for you, Charles, because he's usually a little bit hesitant to wade too deep into this stuff, but yeah, we've had it. Owen, um, again, like Marcella said, we need more people to stand up and say things. I think that was great. What do you think?
Yeah, I mean, I think it's great. He sounded like MAGA, um, but I, I think it was, uh, all common sense stuff, and I think it just points out how ridiculous these things are on the Democrat side. Um, and I still think a lot of people are sticking to those radical views that, you know, I, I'm sure the People who consider themselves more moderate Democrats are cringing whenever they hear this stuff because, you know, they didn't originate these ideas. But at the same time, I think they are embracing these people. So I don't think they get a pass. I don't think they get a pass for saying, well, that's not what I think. It's like, well, but you're letting those people be a core part of your party and you're welcoming them in. And you're not saying, I condemn that. You're not saying, I disagree with them or they're wrong. And so if you're willing to say, you know, hey, let's let all these people be part of our party, well, then you get labeled with that same thing because you're basically condoning that at that point. You're saying that you agree with those ideas and you think those are part of what your party represents.
Right.
And I think honestly, it seems like it's— if anything, it's just spreading. It's becoming really the core message of the Democrats that they want to do all these radical things, have open borders, have no law and order, all these other things. It just seems like, um, the Democrat Party is being taken over by the radical left.
Yeah, and like Beverly, exactly, he's, uh, he's a Trump hater, you know, he's not MAGA. And that's why I like the clip, because even though he hates Trump, he's like, holy crap, like, what are the Democrats— and he said, I have to say, it's all Democrats saying it. So go ahead, Marcella.
No, I, I'm, you know, Sir Charles, uh, Charles Barkley's always said these kind of crazy, you know, he's always been, um, how would you say, real. He always talks like this and he always gets in trouble for it. Um, and I'm, I'm here for it. Um, somebody has to tell them. And yes, um, he might not be pro-Trump or has TDS and all that. Even someone with TDS still thinks this— this Democrats, the new Democrats, are crazy.
Do you think the DSA, Marcella, is the cure to TDS?
Maybe. Yeah, you're, you're on to something.
Wait a minute, so DSA cures TDS? So maybe we need— let's look at it this way. Let's do a reframe. If the Democrats win, whatever, let's just say win, they will be beaten down by the Democrats who can't even believe that they won. So maybe the people that used to be sane who have TDS will lose their TDS, take out the DSA, and we'll return to a happy utopia.
Maybe?
Maybe.
Anyone? Okay.
You think?
I mean, if that's what happens and the DSA wins and you have people like Sir Charles that are just like, uh-uh, we're not getting rid of ICE, we're not getting rid of police, we're not— that might just be the group that has to bring the Democrats back to reality because they're so far off the reservation that maybe it's going to take the ones who have just been blinded by TDS and their egos and whatever to be like, all right, this is too much. Like, we can't back this up, we can't support it. So, and again, like we were saying, or I was saying, that that will also open up the pathway for a Republican to win the presidential 2028.
So, you know, I mean, I'm, I'm all for, like, you know, showing what the radical left is saying and showing what the DSA is all about and exposing that and showing that this is now a big part of what the Democrat Party is about. But at the same time, I think we should be fighting every possible election of those people, because if they give them power, then they're going to have that power and they're going to use it. And beyond that, you know, because the left is so aligned with the media, they're going to tell you why it's all okay. And, and they're going to probably brainwash a lot of people into thinking it's okay. And so I don't think it's the right answer to be like, oh yeah, let's just let them get elected and let them find out. Because I don't think that's how it would go. I think it would just— it's, it's more like we need to stop them every chance we get. And fight it every step of the way.
That's ideal, but it looks like some of these radicals are gonna get through these elections. I can't even believe it, but they are. So I don't know. I feel like it's gonna take a Dem to get rid of the DSA and Chuck Schumer and those people, they need to go. Like, where is Chuck Schumer? You guys, they're all on break till November 9th. You know this. They're not working the entire— not that they work. They're not even in DC until November 9th. They're gone. So there's nothing, there's no problems. We're just leaving for over a month. Oh, okay. So, you know, it's a joke. I found Griffin, by the way, Marcella. So do you wanna set this clip up for me?
So Tabas is a company, a San Francisco AI company specializing in videos. And taking jobs away from people, I guess, with this new human interaction model. It's called HIM, um, and it's, uh, named Griffin. And basically it'll take over a lot of jobs, maybe. Don't know.
All right, so—
So it's supposed to be human-like. So, um, allegedly it— 48% of the participants that were tested against it thought that it was human. So the Turing test was was passed.
Oh, let's take a look. Okay.
Alrighty, let's do this.
Is that everyone?
How's it going? That's pretty late for you. Have you thought any more about how we're introducing Griffin?
Um, I don't know. What are your ideas?
I mean, I think we should stop trying to explain it and just you know show them what it looks like.
Do you think that we should just? Show a recording of us talking or something?
I think a video of just us like this would be the best way to actually prove it.
Do you think they'll believe that you're AI?
I think that's the whole point, isn't it? If it's good enough, they won't even have to think about it.
Now how about just a thumbs up?
Sure, one thumbs up coming right up.
Hell yeah, that was awesome. I would say you're You're my favorite coworker. It's been it's been really great to work on this with you.
You're making me blush. Ah, who's that with the ugly sweater?
Hey, I thrifted this.
Yeah, it definitely looks like it.
Oh my gosh!
Okay, one percent. You're living on the edge, Hassan. Truly, I'll keep my breathing steady so I don't drain your CPU any faster.
Wow, you actually did slow down.
It's like the line between talking to a machine and just talking to someone is getting really, really thin.
Yeah, it really feels like we're, like, you know, passing the Turing test soon.
But honestly, if we want people to see the human part of the simulation, maybe that's the most real thing we could show them. What do you think? Is it too much?
No, no. I, um, I think this is it.
I love your expression there.
Oh my God, that is creepy.
I, I think the, the, the real mindfuck would be— would have been like what Marcela was saying, or maybe what you were mentioning at the beginning, which is maybe she was the real person and the other guy was the AI avatar. That would have been a more convincing Yeah. Way to do it.
Oh my gosh. She's like, who's that with the ugly sweater? I was like, oh, I do like an insulting AI, I have to say.
All right.
So yeah, we are—
What kind of avatar are you going to give to Chester?
I don't know. I sort of have this like image of what I think—
He has to be British, right?
He's British light. He's like one of those American people that could almost be British. You're not sure. Oh, you— does anyone know Dorit Kensley on the Housewives of Beverly Hills? She's American. I mean, she was born in like Iowa, but she, she talks like this, Marcella. And we're like, where is your accent from, Dorit? Dorit, you're American, but you're talking like this. So that's how Chester is.
Expat. British expat.
Oh my gosh. So there is a very thin line now between, you know, someone sounding human and AI, and I don't like it.
I don't like it. But you could at least make Chester stand in the corner when he does something wrong.
Ooh, punishment. I like it. Humiliation, if you will. Mm-hmm. Owen is gonna work on something like that for him so we can have him Moving and talking. That'll be great.
I am. I'm working on it.
I—
it's, it's going to take me some time, but I'm working on it.
Does— yes, like Hilaria Baldwin, Patty. Perfect. How do you say a cucumber? Yeah, like that.
That would be Chester.
Oh my God, what would Chester look like? He's older, kind of quirky, but But dapper. Yeah, he's not like— um, yeah, I— this is creepy. All right, I'll have to think about it. I'll have Chester create an image of what I describe him as and I'll show you on Monday. How about that? That'll be fun. Um, okay.
I don't really see why the video part would be important for taking someone's job. I mean, maybe if it is a like customer service or, you know, something where you do want to talk to a person, but like It doesn't seem to me like that would be the thing that would make the difference to me for most things.
I don't know, maybe if you're—
Persistent customer service.
Or if you're like workshopping a project, maybe you'll flow better if you're actually talking to somebody.
You don't need humans anymore. You just need him.
I mean, I do think the voice part is important because then it really feels more like a person and there's lots of customer service and other things where that's a critical part of it. But I think the video to me, it's more like The whole point of that is to like simulate being in the room with the person that you're remote with.
Yeah.
And you already are remote with like a computer if you're interacting with a computer in whatever form that is, even if you're trying to make it seem like a human being. So I don't know why you would want to do that. But, you know, it's impressive technology and certainly there are use cases for it. It's just when you put it in the frame of Like this is going to take people's jobs. I, it's like, well, why would that be the thing that would make it, make you able to take away someone's job? I mean, I tend to think it's probably more about doing the work as opposed to, you know, simulating a human, I guess.
Well, I fear we're going to find out. So it's moving pretty quick. Um, all right. So I did want to get to, is Andy Wang here? Because I did give a Baldwin shout out just for him. And now this is also for Andy because I'm going to play a clip that has Ted Lieu in it. And if you know, you know. I'm joking with you, Andy. I don't have to tell Andy I'm joking.
I see Andy in the comments.
Because we're from New Jersey, I don't have to say it. But for anyone else that's like, Erica, that's racist to point out Ted Lieu and Andy, Andy gets it. So everyone relax, it's fine. But anyway, I, I do love Marco Rubio, and I do loathe Ted Lieu. My doorbell's ringing. That's fantastic. But let's take a look at what's happening here.
Sleeping right next to you. If Donald Trump cannot stay awake at these important meetings where the cameras are rolling, imagine what he's like when the cameras are not there. So I'm going to ask you, have you been at classified meetings where Donald Trump has fallen asleep? Or trouble staying awake.
I've never been at any meeting where— and the things you're showing me now, he was not falling asleep.
And I think so.
You're lying again.
You're lying consistently to Congress. You're lying to Congress, Secretary Rubio. So I'm going to show you another video in a moment.
Respond to that, other than to tell you that it's absurd and ridiculous. And I can't believe we're in a Foreign Affairs Committee meeting in front of the House at an important time in American foreign policy.
Just keep lying, Secretary Rubio.
Just keep lying. Supposedly someone who thinks he's a medical expert when he's not. The truth of the matter is we had a cognitively impaired president in office a few years ago. That's a cognitively impaired president. But I don't like to talk about that because it weakens America. This president we have, this is a guy that literally doesn't sleep. He works day and night, long hours every single day. I don't know if you haven't seen him in 8 days. I saw him yesterday. I didn't see him today, but yesterday because I was in Congress the day before. I talk to him at all hours of the day and night. He works inhumane hours. I've been on foreign trips with the president that he doesn't sleep in the whole flight, and everyone else is sleeping on the plane, and he's wandering the hallways looking for someone to wake up and talk to. So I don't know what you're referring to, but he has an incredible amount of energy. I'm just telling you, you may not like his policies. You may not like his policies. You may not like the decisions he's made, but I assure you, This is not a president that sleeps or is cognitively impaired in any way, shape, or form. And in fact, is incredibly active, much more so in many cases than much younger people that are around him. Those are facts. I see it every day. You're not going to agree because you have another narrative that you want to push. But those are the facts.
And that's a fact, Jack. Wait, I can just see Trump in the airplane wandering the halls looking for someone to wake up as his Hysterical. Um, most of us have the same reaction. Like, there's a lot of hate and anger toward Ted Lieu and physical violence, uh, you know, if possible. So Marcella, go ahead.
Ted is just— why do we have Ted Lieu? But anyways, I apologize for California for having him around.
But I think that's the reason. I think it's because he's in California that you can elect people like Ted Lieu, because otherwise, if it was any kind of competitive race, it wouldn't The, you know, he has a narrative to follow, you know, but where was Ted Lieu when Joe Biden was in office?
Who was actually falling asleep and had different, uh, the tall Joe Biden, the smaller Joe Biden, the, you know, it's like, you know, I, I like Congress calling out the executive branch because that's the, that's how it was set up. But it's all like they do it only for partisan reasons, not because they're out for representing the populace or something like that. They're, they're just there for their own interests. But I love how Marco Rubio answered that. He's just, he's amazing the way that he's so good. He high-grounded and then he was like, in fact, he doesn't even sleep. So, which is true.
It is true. And it is— it, it's just so infuriating, Owen, because like nobody said anything about Biden when he was clearly dead. He was dead. And, uh, and they're like, Trump's asleep. Okay.
Well, it's, it's— I mean, it's clearly partisan politics. And, and yeah, they covered up for Biden for years. But I, I just think Ted Lieu is one of the designated liars that Scott always talked about. He's one of the people that they can just have say something that's clearly not true, but just serves a political purpose. And it doesn't matter whether it's true. It doesn't matter whether there's any shred of truth to it. It's just he'll say whatever to make his point or to try and do this. But what I would also say is this is a preview of the next 2 years.
Yes.
If the House goes to the Democrats, it's going to be all stuff like this. It's going to be one hearing after another where it's another ridiculous Democrat asking Stupid questions like this, not focusing on real things, just trying to obstruct and trying to embarrass the Trump administration or, you know, try and trick him into saying something or whatever and get their gotcha clips for the media. And that's going to be the next 2 years if we don't win the midterms for the House.
Can you imagine you have Marco Rubio sitting in front of you, one of the most knowledgeable, intelligent Secretaries of State that we've ever had? And we're talking about the Foreign Affairs Committee. And that's what, that's what the Democrats do every time. And it's like, you're not serious people. And it's so gross to just your average American that's paying attention to just be like, is this what we're— is everything about Trump? It's like, you know, we can't pay bills, we can't do this, we're worried about terrorism, we're in wars. And that's Ted Lieu. And yes, you guys are correct, whoever said it in the chat. What was with that middle part thing he has going? Is he trying to hide his hair loss? He looks ridiculous. You look ridiculous, Ted Lieu. Um, okay, so what an idiot. Sorry.
I will say, like, with people— I mean, the Trump administration has a lot of people that are really good at responding to those things though. Like, you've got RFK Jr., you've got Rubio, Vance, you know, All these people that are just masters at responding to these ridiculous things. So that'll be the entertaining part about the next 2 years if it is that in the House, because they're just going to make these people look like fools. And if anything, it might work in the Republicans' interest for 2028, which is really their objective. It's just trying to set up 2028 to say, oh, we should have control. We should have the executive branch. And I think it may backfire on them because they're going to just be made to look like fools.
Oh, absolutely. And Bessent is another one that I just want to add in there. He's so good. And then even someone who's more mild-mannered, like, why am I bringing him up when I couldn't remember his name before I even started the sentence? Oh, Lee Zeldin, right? He's so good. He's so good, even in a calm way. And he really, he'll just bash you right down. Like, you're not even caring about the American people, what you're doing. You're just trying to do a gotcha. We're not into it. We're not into it. This is just a little something that I just love. No dialogue, just wanted to share this bird with you at a traffic camera. Love him. And I don't know why, but if anyone knows the callback, it just made me think of the bird that used to fly up to Scott's security camera in the morning. Does anyone remember that bird? We'd always write bird. Um, so that was just that. Okay, so we just— I don't know which one to tackle. We only have a few minutes.
Um, I remember the screaming baby birds.
Oh, in Hawaii?
Awful.
That made me upset. Okay, so this was sent to me by Jim Wyman when we talk about the difference between cash and Bitcoin. So now I can play this clip for you, but I cannot I can't explain to you how Bitcoin would be different because I don't know how to turn Bitcoin into actual money in my hand that's tangible. That's coming soon. But this is a very good representation of what our— what did we call it? Our government money actually is.
I'm going to put $10K in the bank today, then come back tomorrow and ask for it back. Let's see if they stop me. All right there, I'd like to deposit Is it a business account?
Yeah. No problem. If you pop your card in for me, please.
Yeah, do you want to take that? Well, that was pretty easy. Let's come back tomorrow and try and get it out. Okay, new day, let's do this. Hi, uh, I'd like to draw out 10K cash, please.
I just need my colleague to approve that transaction for me.
Okay.
First of all, we would need at least 24 hours notice for that type of request, but secondly, because you're a business account, you would need We need to speak to the business centre first so we can get authorisation from them.
So even though I paid in a load of cash yesterday, I can't have that cash back today? Do you not actually keep that amount of cash on the premises then?
No, it's held at a dispensary.
All right, because it sounds a bit strange, doesn't it? Well, you've been very helpful, even if you haven't given me my money.
I know.
So apparently it's your money until you actually want it back.
This has literally happened to me multiple times. So, uh, Marcella, you know, it's not happened to me. It's not our money, is it?
It's happened to me when I have a court order and the bank will play games, and then I'll tell them that I'll cite them in court, and then they'll immediately be like, okay, we'll do it.
Oh my God.
So I mean, I can only imagine. And $10,000 is not that much compared to like— oh, okay, I could see like $100,000 all at once, you know.
But $10,000 on a whim should not be an issue. Like, it— the bank should have that money and give it to you. It's your money. So, Owen, you know, I don't know how Bitcoin makes it better. Maybe you do.
Yeah, well, I mean, the, the thing about Bitcoin, at least if you're self-hosting it, meaning like you have your own wallet, um, is that no one can stop you from transacting with it. It's still your money. You still have control over it. It would be like I don't know how to make an analogy, but the simplest one would be like, you can have a wallet on your phone. That's not necessarily the best or most secure way to do it, but you could have it on your phone. And what that means is the private keys that control who's allowed to transact in Bitcoin are on your phone. And when you click send, it sends to whoever. Even if you send it to a terrorist, no one can stop you from doing that. And you can say that's a bad thing. I'm using a bad example, maybe, because obviously most transactions would be legitimate. You're just making a purchase, whatever. But the idea of it is it's like cash. It's like when you have cash in your pocket, nobody can stop you from giving it to somebody, right? Like there's no intermediary.
Right.
But when you put it in a bank, you can have the type of thing you just saw where it's not really your money anymore. It's like they're giving it back to you later, but it's subject to all these rules and restrictions and reviews and stuff. And, you know, you have this thing called a suspicious activity report that gets reported for anything over $10,000. And even if you try and skirt that, like you say, okay, I'm gonna do $9,900 every time so I don't get that, you can actually literally have your bank account frozen for doing that. Like if they notice a pattern like that, they're required to do something about that. So it's— and that has happened, by the way. Like when some cash vendor, you know, that did like a street cart business and had lots of cash would— someone warned them about this $10,000 thing and they're like, oh, okay, I'll just do a bunch of $9,900 deposits. So I don't have that. And they took all her money. They just, they locked up all her money and she, she couldn't even continue her business.
Wow.
And so it is a problem. And, and I think you need to understand that when you're putting money in a bank, and of course I have a lot of money in the bank, it's not like I don't use that, but I understand that there is the ability for that money to be taken away from me. And I think that's to me one of the most important or resonating arguments for Bitcoin. Because I had a friend who I was trying to explain crypto and Bitcoin to, very smart guy, but he just like, this is all BS. There's no reason to have this. And the one argument that got through to him was, how much of your money could not be taken away by the government if they decided to do that?
Mm-hmm.
And he had to stop and think about that. He's like, yeah, really, the answer is none. All my money could— if the government decided to, they could take away everything.
Yeah, it's a serious problem. We've seen it over. I mean, like even BJ saying like during the trucker rally, uh, in Canada that their cash was seized and they could only use Bitcoin. I mean, that's, that's messed up. And, you know, nowadays we definitely don't put anything past our government. Look, Nine Rune, I don't know how to say your username for sure, but Nine Rune 5 on Local said, although yesterday I spent an hour on the phone trying to convince my bank to let me repay my mortgage. They wanted to know where the money was from and that it really was mine. I have no idea what they were planning to do with my money in case I couldn't prove its provenance. That is insanity. And BJ says Bitcoin has no third-party counterparty risk. It's a decentralized network. No one person or entity controls it. So yeah, so we're going to learn more. We're going to do more on Locals, you guys, which is scottadams.locals.com. That's Scott's subscriber channel. And we're doing some understanding Bitcoin and crypto type of classes over there. So if you want to join, join us. It's 19 cents a day to be a subscriber or $70 a year, same thing. And we're going to continue doing that. Owen's going to help us with some AI stuff. Marcela is going to help us with some light legal stuff that we should know. Otherwise, she's going to charge us a lot of money for those classes.
I was like, wait a second.
Wait one minute. And so it's a lot of fun over there. But anyway, join us. Join us. scottadams.locals.com.
All right.
So you guys, thank you so much for being here today. Owen, what do you have going on tomorrow?
I am doing the afterparty. So same time as this show tomorrow on Spaces. So join me on X and we'll talk about the news.
Yay, Cam, thank you for renewing your subscription. You just renewed it and we had a new member join yesterday during the show. Thanks, you guys. Um, so join Owen. Yep. What more?
Oh, go ahead, go ahead.
No, no, no, go ahead.
I just wanted to say happy birthday, Erica.
Ma'am, my birthday is tomorrow. I was so grateful it's on a Saturday.
It is tomorrow.
Yep, tomorrow's my birthday.
To wish her a happy birthday.
Thank you so much. Thank you so much. And so we will be back on Monday. And thank you, Jim Courtney. And I have a special premiere for you on Monday. Okay, that Akira sent to me. We have two special premieres next week from Akira. So that's going to be so exciting. Exciting! You guys have the best, best weekend. And all right, Halsey. So have the best weekend. We always want to say thank you to Scott and Shelley for allowing the show to continue. So many things had to happen for this to work out the way it did. And it's just amazing and interesting when I think about it actually daily. I reflect back on conversations and different situations and how it all worked out. We're here today, all of us together, which I love. So yeah, so good. So thank you to Scott and Shelley, and let's have an amazing final closing sip to our beloved Scott. And let's be extra useful and amazing through the weekend, you guys, until we meet again Monday morning. Okay, guys, to Scott and to Erica. Aw, thank you so much. Should we do an Akira song for anyone that wants to stay?
And Robo, I think you're gonna do the happy birthday song, but no, let me get a band or something.
What does she want to hear? Because Beverly, you requested a song and I played it, but I don't think you were here the day I played it.
If she—
is she here, Beverly?
Let me just— she's here.
All right, well, I gotta go.
Happy birthday, Erica.
Thank you.
I'll see you all on Monday.
Bye.
Uh, let's see, let's see, let's see. Is Beverly here? Beverly, Beverly, Beverly.
She was.
She was. She had a thing with the plumber. Okay, let's see. Great. She wanted to hear, but oh, here she is. Oh, what you think about? Thanks, Beverly. Okay, what you think about? Here we go. This is for the beef.
All right, I saw a story in the South China Morning Post. You asked the question, can you train your mind to be happy? And it says, yes, expert says. Would you like to know how? Would you like me to train you with my hypnosis experience into how to be happier? All right, well, I won't hypnotize you. I'll just tell you how to do it. Number 1, whatever you think about the most is who Who you are, and you can change what you think about the most. It's easy. Watch. Think about your favorite animal. Could you do it?
A squirrel.
Of course you could. You all had a different favorite animal, but when I said think about your favorite animal, you could do it. So that was when your brain was focusing on a cool thing that you like.
Perfect.
Favorite animal. Probably made you a little bit happy. I mean, just a little bit. But during that time you were thinking about your favorite animal, you weren't thinking about some bad thing that could have potentially put you in a bad mood or affect your energy or make you anxious or anything. Whatever you think about the most is who you are. So I just proved to you that if you just remember as a habit to change your Thinking from whatever negative stuff to positive stuff. It's really that easy. Just think about stuff you like. Everybody likes something. Think about a person you like, experience you had, a walk on the beach if that's your thing. Just think about it and reduce the shelf time that you give to the bad thoughts. Because how much you think about something is what creates the structure in your brain that becomes semi-permanent. You can usually change it, but some— it becomes a little semi-permanent. So the more you think about positive things, the happier you're gonna be.
Yes, Lang, you're gay.
Oh, what's tomorrow, you guys? Tomorrow is Erica Day.
Oh, thanks, Marcella. Thanks, you guys. So sweet, so sweet. Um, I'll tell you, some very important people in my life have wished me a happy birthday on the wrong day already.
Oh yeah, maybe it's because it's the entire month.
I—
nope. Like, you know, it was kind of weird. I'm like, are we all senile now? Like, what's happening? I won't even call out one that lives in this house that wished me a happy birthday today. And I'm like, today? Like, interesting.
Anyway, girl, he's in trouble.
Oh no, it's so funny. But like, did anyone ever have that? Like, oh, like my grandparents, like The picture over here of the woman, that's my grandmother right there. Love of my life. And oh, like, I just remember the year that they called me on like October 13th, my grandparents, and they were like, happy birthday! And they were all excited. And I'm like, oh no, Friday the 13th, you're 2 weeks late. And oh my God, it was so sad. But Oh, bookish, really? She must be amazing.
I just tell people like, hey, it's my birthday today, wish me a birthday.
Oh no, I'd rather hide under a table than talk about my birthday, honestly.
Oops.
Yes, I know.
I'm in trouble, you guys.
It's okay, Stella doesn't know. No, she doesn't know my birthday's coming. She's being a little brat, let me tell you. Oof, bratty catty. So you guys are so sweet. Thank you.
So—
oh, she's a libtard. Ugh, bookish. It's awful. Give me your number. Thanks, you guys. Thanks for the birthday, uh, salutations. That's so sweet. Um, you guys have—
You know who'll remember your birthday? Your mom.
Well, she birthed me. Yep, yep. My mom's actually flying in this weekend. She's, uh, coming in for a visit. And we are going to see each other. Shoot, I don't have a guest room, you guys. That's kind of by design, so nobody can stay here. But, uh, we'll be visiting, and so that'll be good. I recommend getting rid of your guest room, by the way. It's life-changing.
Life-changing.
Or making it into an office.
Well, this was my guest room. Yeah, my office.
That's what I was thinking.
Yeah, I had 2 guest rooms, and now I don't have any. Um, but you guys, I love, love my mom. Like, if she wanted to sleep in my bed, she could. Then I'd just go to a hotel. It's all just a mess.
What time were you born, Erica?
I was born, um, well, that's funny you should ask, Marcella. Let me just make it the short version. It's either 7:30 or 8:30 in the morning. I forget. But I am a Libra, Libra rising with a Cancer moon. So yes, I was a morning baby. Thanks, Flavor. Oh, you guys are cute. Oh, you guys, this was the best birthday gift, was this show today. Thank you so much. You feel tingly?
She's a gift to us. Look at that.
I—
stop it, you little—
oh my gosh, liars, you.
So sweet. Um, all right, so don't forget to visit Owen tomorrow at the afterparty on X, and, um, Ah, Beverly, your dollhouse room! So Beverly actually has some of my grandmother's dollhouse furniture. She took a little class once with her friends about how to make dollhouse furniture. So random, it was just something to do. And I had all this guilt because I just had it like in this little box. This is years ago, Beav, right?
Mm-hmm.
Years ago. I was talking to Beverly about it when I found out she had this whole dollhouse thing, and I was like, oh my God, can I send you the dollhouse furniture? Because eventually I was gonna have to get rid of it. of it or throw it out. And it's like that Italian guilt. I couldn't do it. And Beverly was like, of course. And I sent it to Beverly and she put it in one of her dollhouses. So I'm so excited about that.
Yay.
Thanks, Bev.
I'll never—
It's so, so intense work to do that because it's all miniature little things, little table. It's cute.
Um, yeah, I can't thank her enough for that. Like, it really alleviated some guilt for me so she can throw it out one day, not me. Anyway, better hurry.
Everybody's now looking at their stuff and it's like, oh, we have dollhouses here we could send to Beverly, right?
Beverly's gotta— she's gotta move herself because she's moving and all the dollhouses, so she's gotta pack furniture for everybody.
Okay, Beverly, wish you luck on that.
Yes.
So what, what is the plan for all of us tomorrow? Where's the party at?
Um, you know, maybe I'll do a little Erica After Dark tomorrow on my Locals. Who knows?
Ooh, it's gonna get crazy, people.
Yeah, it's gonna get crazy up in there. So, uh, you never know. So tomorrow night, maybe I'll pop onto my Locals just to visit and have a, a little chat. Beverly's going crazy packing. Ugh, brutal. Sometimes I think the only way I could like actually declutter is if I moved. Because, you know, you just get rid of everything.
You have to pick, uh, what is the name of that lady, that Sparks Joy lady from Japan?
Oh, Marie Kondo.
Yeah, I, I have tried to do that. It's like, well, it kind of sparks joy now and again.
Like, you know, you're supposed to like get rid of like your old socks and be like, thank you for serving me socks, and, and put them in the garbage or whatever. I'm like, all right. So sometimes I do, I thank everything. I've I just brought 3— no, oh no, I have 3 more in my car. I have 6 bags for consignment, and then I have like 3 huge bags for Goodwill. I go to Goodwill all the time, but I thank everything. I'm like, thank you. When I drop it off, I'm like, thank you for being in my life. Go live your next iteration of life. Have fun. I'm a mental patient, I swear. The guilt I live with, I'm telling you. All right.
All right. Take care, everybody.
All right, you guys, so maybe I'll see some of you tomorrow. You guys join the after party, and, um, Marcella and I will be back with Owen on Monday with a special premiere. All right, guys, look at that birthday party. Thanks, Metal Seer. Let's go. Oh, all right, bye, guys.
Bye.
