What's going on, sister? Good morning.
Good morning, everyone.
I'm out of— Good morning, Sandy. Good morning, Mary Kay.
I can never hear you guys. Oh, I hear us.
Okay.
Good morning. Do you hear? Good morning, everybody.
There's 2 of her.
There's 2. 2 is just better than one, right? No, no. All right, you guys, come on in. It's Tuesday morning, my favorite day of the week, Tuesday. Yesterday was Marcella's. And Owen's favorite day of the week is going to be Wednesday, and he's not going to be here. Owen, is that true?
I think not, unless something changed. I did see some meetings moving around on my calendar, but I, I would say for now, let's plan on I'm not here tomorrow. All right. Yeah, that's what— that's tomorrow, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you, Marcela.
Voice seems very deep today. Oh, okay. Not, not yours, Derek.
Thank you, Marcela.
I want to say good morning. What's up? I am your father.
Um, that's all I know about the movie. That, that was it. And I think I even said that wrong. I think it's, I'm your father. But anyway, I don't know. It doesn't matter. Oh my God, come on in. We have to have sips.
Star Wars.
We have stuff to do. We have awesome—
The blue is Erica's blue, so I borrowed her color for today.
I thought I was more of a royal blue, no?
You're, you're all blues. All blues belong to you. So look at Owen wearing your blue.
Thanks, guys. All right, are we ready? Are we ready?
Yes.
I was like, let's do it. I don't know, is everybody ready?
I don't see— I see Kimberly grabbing her cup.
Um, Kimberly says I look ready to take her to brunch. Let's go, sister. All right, good morning, Halsey. Okay, here we go, guys, because I can't wait anymore for that top third hot and frothy.
And all you need to enjoy it to its fullest extent, I think you know, it's a cup or mug or glass, a tank or chalice or stein, a canteen, jug, or flask, a vessel of any kind, because you want to fill it with your favorite liquid. I like coffee. And then you can join me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine hit of the day, the thing that makes everything better except Recounts. It's called the simultaneous sip and a half, isn't it? Go. Ah, how many of you have reduced this to habit so that it feels really good when you know it's going to happen, and then it feels good when it happens, and then you feel good all day? Well, if you haven't, you should.
Okay, done and done. I think we have all turned this into a habit. Yes, and a good one at that. Oh, and I mean, I'm sure— I'm not putting you on the spot, but I'm sure there's a thousand reasons why coffee is good for us.
Oh, there are.
I try to look for them every day, but I keep finding more.
It's amazing. So just drink it. I saw one you posted yesterday: black coffee is good, but the sugar you put in Just erases the goodness.
Yeah, I mean, I think I've heard doctors tell me before that like if you just put like one sugar in your coffee, it's probably okay. Like, you know, it's not that much sugar and it probably depends a lot more on how much other sugar is in your diet. So it also is context dependent in terms of like if you're already putting a bunch of sugar in your diet, then, you know, you may already be in bad shape in terms of your diet. But I think I do drink my coffee black, other than the other things we've talked about, but I don't put any sugar or cream in it.
I gotcha. Well, I like my coffee like I like my men.
Sweet.
I don't even know where—
I guess I like them bitter.
Whoa.
Sweet and fluffy. Oh my God, I swear. All right, you guys. Colombian. Yes. No, Italian. An Italian roast.
Do they make coffee in Italy?
Yes.
I think they might have posted a story about that recently. There was some country, I think it might have been Italy, where they were saying they've been trying to grow coffee for a long time and they haven't been able to. And then now they're saying climate change is making it work. So go climate change.
Let's go. Climate change for the win. All right, listen, um, the world's shortest cat video, just because. Here it is. And the loudest cat video. Holy cow. But like, it's just, just a cat being a jerk. That's right. Turtles minding their business.
Nah, is he in a nightclub? It sounds—
I know, I was like, oh Oh my gosh, that was loud. Um, but anyway, I, I was thinking about Mitch McConnell, and so I want to play the turtle.
You're thinking of Mitch McConnell?
Yeah, where is he? What's happening? Well, now they're off.
Talarico, probably. Yeah, they're hanging out.
Talarico is getting scandalous.
I heard Grassley's filing for reelection and he's 93.
No, he's not.
But I saw on the news.
You know what? Love him. Great guy. But come on now.
It's hard to retire now with the economy. So, I mean—
Or the blackmail.
I don't think blackmail because of money is his problem.
I know. And I don't think Chuck Grassley has blackmail on him. I just— I refuse to believe that. But then it's like, dude, what are we doing? Oh my God, I can't. All right, so term limits, please. And I love him, and I'm, I'm just wanting you to know I'm, I'm legit. Like, just because I love him doesn't mean he should be sticking around. It's time to go, Chuck Grassley. All right, so, um, to retire. No. Yeah, stay alive.
Not go.
Keep back.
Maybe he's going for the record for oldest senator or something.
Good God. I mean, he could be a Walmart greeter. Like, you don't have to not do something. He'd be such a nice Walmart greeter. All right, he's super guy. Honestly, I do. I really do love him. I'm not kidding. Okay, does everyone understand? All right, so Owen, I asked you because so many of us— not us, but so many of us are aging, and I do have friends that worry about like osteoporosis and things like that. And I saw something that you put into your newsfeed today, and it was about omega-3s and osteoporosis. Is that true?
Yeah, there was some research that showed that having a high omega-3 diet can lower the symptoms, at least, of osteoarthritis. I don't know if it necessarily is a cure, but in terms of the symptoms, if you wake up in the morning with like painful joints and swollen joints and things like that, that, that may be an indirect sign of not having enough omega-3. And so if you raise your omega-3, perhaps you'll feel a lot better with your joints. So, and it said it was a 50% reduction in the symptoms. So that seems pretty significant. Might help a lot of people if they did that, if they were low on omega-3. So yeah, I mean, it looks like it's potentially something that might help. I think they think that it might be that the— it's degradation of collagen in the cartilage and— I guess perhaps it's giving some kind of shock-absorbing mechanism when you have omega-3.
I'm thinking too of oil. It's like a fish oil or a certain kind of oil. Maybe it like lubes your joints up for you. Someone said eat your sardines. I will not. Um, and I've tried to take the omega-3 fatty acids, but like you get those little fishy burps and I'm like, I can't do it. Like, ugh. So I don't know. Tell me another way to get the omega-3s.
I think there are a lot of versions of that, and some of the fishy stuff might just depend on which version you're using. It's kind of complicated. I don't even remember all the details, but there's different methods for extracting it, and some of them are cold pressed and other ones, and there's all these different things. But there's also obviously different sources. Some of them come from different kinds of fish. I think supposedly krill oil is one of the better ones, but I use, I think it's like Nordic Naturals or something, which is probably pretty expensive, but I don't have any fish burps or anything. And I think it is possible to get rid of the fish burps just depending on which kind you use. But—
Good morning, everyone. Welcome.
To be the person that brings fish for lunch and microwaves.
And actually posted another story today that talked about supplements that reduce heart disease and cancer risk. And what do you know, omega-3 is one of them. So it's omega-3 and vitamin D. Which Scott has talked a lot about vitamin D in the COVID days.
Yes.
So once again, we have vitamin D popping up in the news as a good thing, and omega-3 as well. So if you want to help your heart and reduce your risk of cancer, apparently that's another way to do it.
Amazing. I can't see the other chats. I'm only looking at Locals. And if you're a subscriber on Locals, you are getting a lot of really good advice and information of what everybody over there What they're doing to combat certain things and different kinds of supplements and food. So I recommend, I recommend you other people come over, subscribe to Locals. It's, how much is it again? 17 cents a day, I think. 19 cents a day. $70 for the year. And you too will be getting a wealth of information plus an entire family of new friends. And you can put pictures in the chat. Oh, and by the way, I saw somebody else posted a picture of President Trump wearing the simultaneous swaddle. If you saw our thumbnail, you guys were almost out of mugs. Okay, here's the mug. We're almost out of these, and I'm not sure if we're going to restock them or not. Okay, we'll see. I honestly am not sure, so it might not be for a while either. And then the simultaneous swaddles—we have I think less than 100 now, and we're definitely not restocking. So if you did want to get one, or you want to make a Christmas list, or say, hey honey, here's what I want for Christmas or my birthday, just ask them to grab it now because those are definitely not being restocked. Okay, and the link to purchase them along with the Dilbert 2027 calendars— and there's a wall calendar also that Scott worked on this, you guys. Scott worked on this with his calendar people and his art assistant. So all the links are in the show description on each platform. Okay. I know, Kev, I might get one more mug. I have one mug over here, like a spare mug right there. And then the one I use, but I might have to get one more just in case. Okay. So make sure you grab those. Okay. All right. Let's see. I just wanted to do one other fun little thing for you. I hope it's not really loud. So Be warned, your ears could be in jeopardy. But this is so cute with Halloween coming up, you guys. This is a compilation of people delivering like DoorDash, UPS, Amazon, like their mail to people's houses, and they have things set up for Halloween. And then there's one that's not Halloween. These poor people! But this is hysterical. Take a look.
Oh shit!
Hermosa decoración, verdad? Sí.
Santo Dios!
Oh my God, son of a bitch! Oh, oh my God, why?
Imagine that thing just jumps at me.
All right, here we go.
All right, whoa, nope, I'm out.
Oh, holy Jesus, you got it.
Oh, I don't know why, but things like that make me laugh so much. I love it.
It's funny. I do remember though, once I— because we get a lot of trick-or-treaters at our house and I got this hood that has a black face mask, like a full face mask. So it's just black fabric, but it covers my whole face and you can't see through it. If you're looking at me, but I can see through it because it's right next to my eyes. And so I'm like, oh, this will be cool. I'll dress up and I'll just wear that while I give out the candy. And as soon as I open the door for the first one, the little kids come to the door and they're terrified.
They're just terrified.
Oh yeah.
And I felt so bad. I was like, I didn't really mean to scare anybody, especially little kids.
And so I took it off. Oh my God. My brother is like a menace to society over there in Florida. He does this whole thing. Like people drive like an hour to go to his house to trick-or-treat.
And I'm like, oh Oh my God.
I see. I love it. I like scaring the kids personally, but you know, that's just me. Um, but he does this whole setup and then he has cameras set up so you can like see what happens later. And the kids are— the parents are scared. They're so terrified. And he sits there with the Grim Reaper thing on, but he doesn't move. He's like in this chair and he has the candy like around him. So you have to be really brave. You have to like go up next to him to get the candy and he won't move a muscle. And the kids are like, oh, like, is he real? Is he not? And like, maybe like all of a sudden he'll move a finger just a little bit and like, they're like, start to cry. The parents are laughing. And then if they, they make it up there and whatever, he gives them like big, like jumbo candy bars from Trader Joe's to be like, you did it. But he had— yes, I'm properly motivated. And then if there's like older kids that think they're going to get spicy and the whole yard and everything's crazy. Right next to him is the garden hose. So like if the older kids think they're going to do something, he picks up the hose and he blasts them. It's hysterical. But yes, yes, and yes, I like it. So, all right, well, good for them. And if you can leave treats out for your delivery people, leave them some like little bottles of water like Scott does for Halloween. Sometimes leave like little chips and granola bars so they can grab something. They love that. Okay, on to the serious stuff. Womp womp. Marcella, I'm going to just come to you first. I know you said you had a couple of news items for us today, so I'm going to ask you to kick us off with whichever one you want.
Well, this one is particularly interesting because you had the news story of Anthropic Claude figuring out this lady's diary because she was typing that in. I don't know if you guys recall. But if you're a lady somewhere in the US and you're typing into the diary that you don't like certain people and you'd like to take them out, that's one thing. It's another to be the Houthis. The Houthis use Claude AI to develop guided rockets and ballistic missiles.
The Houthis, like the people that are bombing?
Yeah, the Houthis and the Blowfish. No, not the band, the ones in Yemen. The military. So here they are. Anthropic disclosed that Iran-backed Houthis rebels in Yemen used its Claude AI system to replace human weapon engineers to advance multiple weapons programs, according to the company. Um, they report that the prior month, the group leveraged Claude, accessing knowledge equivalent to that of top rocket scientists, to develop 3 initiatives: guided rockets, Right. Multistage ballistic missiles with ranges exceeding up to 1,500 miles and variants including a hypersonic glide vehicle designated the R-2000. So remember how there's a story we didn't go over it? Probably Owen went over it in the afterparty of there being attacks in Riyadh, um, in Saudi Arabia. They attacked the airport. You know, it's not alleged. They took— they claimed it as their own attack. And that was very, very far from— they were not capable of doing that before.
Wow.
But it looks like Anthropic admitted that they used AI Claude. Somehow they were able to stop this lady in her tracks for writing a diary, but they weren't able to stop this. They allegedly— they defend themselves by saying that The Houthis were very intelligent about how they did it. They took it out of— outside of— offline, and then they did it in, um, how would I say, in different accounts where they, they took it, um, where it wasn't so obvious.
Like maybe piece by piece.
And then they put it—
but I mean, anybody looking these things up, I mean, wow, I'm assuming Well, I would certainly expect they probably at least use the VPN to make it not look like it came from that area, because it would be kind of silly not to. But I think, um, the, you know, it is a problem. I think it's, it's going to be always difficult to say how do you keep these things from happening, because it's kind of like, you know, you have to anticipate every possible way they might try to do something like that. And they, to your point, they can make it seem innocent. They can be like, I'm just doing basic research, you know, I'm just looking at— and maybe they'll not say it's about missiles, but they'll be talking about the technology. I think the part I remember from seeing that story was it was something about making the system, the missiles self-correcting. But if you boil it down to the fundamental technology, it might not have anything to do with missiles. And so it might be hard to understand, okay, what are they really doing with this? What's their goal with this? And they might even say, like some people do, I'm researching a book and I'm telling a story. And it's fictional. And, you know, sometimes that's been able to work around some of the guardrails.
And that's my workaround.
Yeah, it's a fundamental problem, I think, with AIs to try and stop everything. And so I'm guessing we'll see more of this. And I'm kind of like a lot of things with cybersecurity, just more surprised that we haven't seen more of it, that it seems like the potential is there for all kinds of things to happen with these tools. And now we have all these Open weight models and things too, which I, I am for. I'm a big user of it and I don't want them to go away, but I do recognize that a lot of these same things could be used for bad purposes.
Ei says that, uh, in early AI days, people bypassed getting instructions for making methamphetamine by asking it to write a song about how to make it.
But wow, we just gave a lot of people ideas today. Um, Saudi Arabia should be also looking up how to defend against The Houthis. Yeah, I mean, they should.
Well, let's get the latest update on that, Marcella, since we're talking about it. And there's just— I, I have it. Yep, here we go.
The Iran-backed Houthis launched additional attacks at Saudi Arabia overnight, firing a ballistic missile toward the capital of Riyadh. This followed a deadly weekend that left 14 people killed and hundreds injured in similar strikes against King Khalid International Airport. The Houthis are threatening to escalate the already volatile situation, warning foreign airlines against using Saudi airspace or airports. Saudi Arabia has issued a notice to airmen suspending operations at the airport for the remainder of the week. President Trump spoke following a call with Saudi leader Mohammed bin Salman, saying this.
Have you spoken with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman yet about the attacks in Yemen?
I have. I have.
Look at the Houthis are misbehaving very badly. They're misbehaving very badly.
The question is if the United States could get more directly involved, possibly launching strikes against the Houthis. The uptick in violence has worried many U.S. Gulf allies over concerns that the attacks could unravel and eventually include Iranian involvement once again.
All right. So yeah, they're misbehaving. That is horrible to see. My God. I don't know. Owen, do you have any thoughts on what's happening here? I mean, what, what are we going to do?
Well, if anything, I guess I'm surprised to hear that what the broadcaster said about like, maybe we'll get involved with attacking the Houthis. Like, I thought we were already doing that. I don't understand why we wouldn't be doing that. And especially if they're attacking either our base or our allies, I would think it would almost be automatic that we would take them out. You know, I'm not talking about like all Houthis, like genocide sort of stuff, but I'm saying like at least the people who are doing the attacks and So any capabilities that they have, it would seem to me like we should be able to track them down and take away that threat. But I understand it's hard to take away all threats. And again, it's kind of like they could pop up anywhere and it might not be easy to track them everywhere. But I certainly think we need to do what we have to do to defend the region. And I, I do think it might be a strategic mistake to be having all these attacks going into neighboring Arab countries because you might end up pulling in people that maybe Iran hoped would at least be neutral, if not an ally. ally and make them into an enemy. And if the whole region turns against Iran in a bigger way and joins the fight, essentially, then it may turn the tide of the war.
Marcella, any final thoughts?
So this is not new. The Yemeni Houthis, which are in Yemen, they're not all of Yemen, have been fighting Saudi Arabia for a while now. It's before even the Iran War, so they've never really been friends, as you put it. Uh, they've always been enemies. Uh, Saudi Arabia has always been an enemy of Iran, so there's no difference there. I just think that now they're getting more money, more support from Iran because it's helping Iran, uh, put pressure on the U.S., um, by pressuring an ally like Saudi Arabia. So it is what it is. I, I think that there was a point in time That the US had agreed not to attack the Houthis, but now I guess maybe they're reexamining that, which they should.
All right. I mean, I don't know. Once again, with this war, war is hell and unpredictable, and we just watch it day to day. It's just like you can't— I know EJ, he says, so what's the endgame with this Iran project? How many years will this go on? It feels like that. Back in the good old days of war, you could make promises and commitments to each other and you would hold to those. But obviously, nothing is sacred, not even war. You can't take anybody at their word and it's all BS. So it must be extremely difficult to negotiate when nobody is negotiating in good faith. Tricky times. And by the way, is it me, or is it since that helipad, when Trump is talking now, doesn't it sound like a drone swarm is behind him at all times? Do you notice how loud?
I haven't noticed that.
It's so loud. I'm always like, what the heck is behind him? It sounds like a million drones flying overhead. But I think it's because the Marine One is on cement now. It's very strange. I get you, EJ. I get you. Okay, so I wanted to move on to Ilhan Omar because I just am so hopeful. So, you know, this goes deeper than just like her immigration status because it could be that she lied about her age when she came here. She may have been an adult. She may have been 18 when she came here with her family, which would mean she can be Tossed out. So apparently she claimed that she was 17, then somebody found out— long story short— that she was 18. And then they noticed right away she changed like her Wikipedia page and changed some, some other stuff to change the date to make it like, no, no, no, she was 17. So it's interesting, there seems to be a little bit of, um, mischief abound. But let's get the, the latest update and then we'll Toss it to you first, Marcella, on the other side.
Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar calling this a campaign of political intimidation. The Justice Department has not released the details about this raid, although it did share a statement that reads in part, this enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. It was early Monday morning when federal agents searched the Washington, D.C. home of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Omar Omar writing online, "Quote I'm okay. Make no mistake, this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns." President Trump yesterday responded to questions about this search.
Well, I understand they're looking at her very carefully. I've always found her to be totally crooked personally, but that has something to do with me. I think she's a terrible person, but that's really up to the DOJ.
The Justice Department has largely avoided overt investigative activity very close to federal elections, although in order to allow this search, a federal judge did need to sign off on that warrant. Homeland Security led the investigation, indicating that immigration may come into play, and Democrats quickly slamming that possibility and the raid overall, especially this close to an election.
All right, so did anyone hear the drone swarm?
Yeah, I did.
Okay. All right, so Marcela, go ahead.
I also— his voice sounded different, so I was like, did they switch him again? Um, um, what can I say? The Washington Post reported this thing that they thought was going to be like Like serious and severe, but they reported that the mission, that the the actual investigation was called World War Eleven because she had she had made a mistake earlier on Elon calling World War Two World War Eleven. I thought that was hilarious if they called it that if it's actually true. Most of the things Washington Post says reports. Aren't true, but I don't know. They seem to make it to be like, oh, can you believe it? You know, if she has nothing to if everything's on the up and up, which she has denied all these you know rumors of her being over eighteen, of her marrying her brother and all that, then she should be calm and collected because there's nothing that's going to be found. You know, that's my idea, but she doesn't seem calm and collected. It is what it is.
Is the hypocrisy pissing you off as much as me? He's been just spreading lies for 10 years. It's like, oh my God, I can't with these people. I mean, they're, they're among the worst. And Alien Baby, you said in the chat they should raid Pelosi next or whatever, but did you guys see that video where it looked like she was being led out of her house the other day? Uh, all right, I just put that—
oh, who, Nancy?
Or—
yeah.
I just saw something like that.
I mean, what, you know, if I was, if I was Trump, Fauci would be raided, Nancy would be raided, there would be a lot of raiding. So I, I don't really think— just saying, just vote for me, you guys, I'll raid everybody.
Oh my God, Marcella, you win!
Yeah, too bad I'm not, you know, naturalized. I'm just naturalized and I wasn't born here, but, um, we can change that just for me. You can run.
You can, you get into the DOJ.
Yes. DOJ. Border Control. That would be amazing.
We can be Attorney General.
Oh my gosh. All right. Hold the thought of Attorney General.
They're gonna play this, this, this very episode.
Yes.
Yeah. They're gonna be like, so you said you'd be raiding everyone.
Yes. And everyone would be like, no. Yeah. All right.
So I want to see more of this, not less. That's all.
100%. Owen, go ahead.
Yeah, well, I mean, I think to me the— and we said this, I think, yesterday or whenever we talked about this last— that they clearly had some kind of justification that was enough for a judge to sign off on that said they're looking for something specific. They have some suspicion that, in at least in their opinion, rises to probable cause. But I think there's no way to untangle the political from the legal in this case. Like, it, it's clearly both. And so to me, that's what's driving the reaction more than anything, regardless of whether or not she's guilty of anything. She's trying to make as much political hay out of this as she wants to play the victim. She wants to portray Trump as the tyrant that's overstepping the bounds and trying to say, oh, look, he's weaponizing the government, all that kind of stuff. It's kind of guaranteed. You could predict it, right? Like, it's, it's gonna happen. And I, in my mind, try to separate the two and say, okay, it may be political and I'm expecting the types of reactions I'm seeing, but I think the legal case to me seems like an independent thing where clearly they did have enough probable cause to get the warrant. So I'd like to just see what comes out. And I don't expect full transparency every step of the way because that's just not how these legal cases work. So it's going to take some time and it may be that we won't find out until there is a grand jury or whatever the next step would be that would find out what is this really about specifically. I know we all have our suspicions and everything that's been talked about in the media in terms of her marrying her brother and all these other things, but, um, I, I would just take a wait-and-see attitude on the legal part of it. And I just put aside all the political stuff because it's just not relevant, uh, other than, you know, maybe just as an observer saying I think both sides are trying to use this to their advantage, right? Like, the, the Trump administration would clearly be saying we need to get People like this out of Congress and we need to elect Republicans instead. And the Democrats are going to do the same thing on their side.
Yeah. And also just a little pro tip to all of you listening out there, you psycho Ilhan Omar people. If you weren't such jerks and you weren't so disgusting and divisive, this stuff would not be happening to you. So you reap what you sow. And You know, that just goes to everybody. Like, anyone who's like smug— and remember Rashida Tlaib when she won? The first thing she did was started cursing about Trump and like, we're gonna get that effer out of the White House. It's like, you know, you're just setting yourself up. Like, you better be as clean as a whistle because you're antagonizing a shit ton of people, including Democrats that don't like this stuff either. So. I just—
I agree.
And I think they have zero legs to stand on in terms of saying, oh, look, Trump's weaponizing the government. Look what they just did for the last 4 years, if you're not even counting Trump's first term where they tried to impeach him twice and all these other stuff on BS things. It's, it's ridiculous for them to have any kind of moral outrage or, you know, how dare he do this, because they did this 10 times over against him. So you reap what you sow. And As they taught us, nobody's above the law.
Nobody. I just saw a clip of Hasan Piker and Jennifer Welch. Is that her name? Welch? Welch? She's that podcast lady. She's very angry, like most liberals. Her face looks distorted. She hates every Republican Trump person in the world. The typical. You know, she's like in the back of a car with Hassan Piker, and she's just like, "Well, you just wait because we're gonna go after everybody." And I'm like, "See, this is this is just ugly and nasty. You know, we're gonna you know raid this one's house and that one's house and blah blah blah." And I'm just like, "Ugh, we're so tired of it. We're so tired of it." She is the crypt keeper. She is so gross. Oh my God!
Once you said horse face, I knew who you were talking about.
I didn't say horse face, Jennifer. Someone else in the chat did.
I'm just— Someone in the chat said— Mhm.
I could say stuff, but I would end up in such a battle with so many Democrat women and like podcasters. Can you imagine? Be like, let's go on the front lawn of the White House. Yeah, let's go, we're gonna have a podcast off. Um, but they're so miserable, and it's just like, God, like, stop poking the bear. We're so sick of it. Um, okay. So we're going to see what shakes up day by day, and I'm interested to see what happens. I want to highlight— so we were talking about attorney general. So who's everyone's least favorite attorney general? I'm going to say it's Letitia James. Letitia James.
Wow.
She is pathetic. Okay, so there's someone running against her that I want to highlight. Her name is— Sethia, and I don't have her last name in front of me. I can't say her name. I don't want to botch it. But even better, I'm gonna play her ad instead. Her ad is, um, you guys, when I tell you— I've been telling you for years, even like when Scott would be doing the show and we'd bring up New York, you always saw me in the chat saying New York has just disintegrated. It is— it's gone, okay? It's dangerous. And then when people are like, no, it's not, I live here, it's perfectly fine. Stop it! Then you just got there because it's disgusting. But I want to show you her ad. So she's running against Letitia James, whatever her name is. Letitia, Letitia, whatever. But look at this ad, and I hope I don't blow your ears out with it. So you've been warned. Taking the subway in New York has become an experience. You get to the platform, find your spot against the wall, and keep to yourself. There's always something going on. Somehow, we've all just gotten used to it. Then there's this. But the weird part isn't that people jump the gate. It's that we stopped asking, who are we letting through? Because sometimes the person who jumps isn't just skipping the fare.
You can see them there. The group is entering a train station, some jumping turnstiles. They say a 56-year-old man was punched and kicked.
NYPD says a man on the northbound J train was stabbed multiple times in the neck and the chest. They could have a gun, a knife, or a warrant out for their arrest. And has multiple arrests for assault And in some cases, people who later committed violent crimes got into the system without paying. People are attacked, robbed, pushed, groped, slashed, and for some New Yorkers, it's been fatal. Which raises a pretty simple question: why are we waiting until something happens on the platform to do something about it? Start at the gate. If you don't pay, you don't get in. And no, that doesn't mean putting everyone who skips a fare in jail. Enforcement can be simple. A ticket, a fine, turn them around. And if they're wanted or carrying a weapon, stop them before they ever get on a train. This isn't about criminalizing poverty. There are reduced fares for people who need them. And that program is actively being expanded. This is about stopping violent crime, especially for the millions of New Yorkers who have no choice but to take the train. Look at the Paris Metro.
Look at Tokyo.
Look at other major transit systems around the world. New York can do better. And it starts right here. I really like her. She has like a bunch of ads running right now. That's just one. And I'll tell you what, first of all, she sat on that bench in the subway and touched that handle. I would like have to burn my hand off after that because it is disgusting. Um, But yeah, the subway, you guys. And, and so New York is so, so, so expensive, okay? Everything's a fortune, and the subway is the cheapest way to do your transportation. So if you live here but you work all the way down there, you've got to take the subway if you can't walk it. And it is so scary and dangerous, and it used to be like that in the '70s too. There was a lot of, um, pushing people off the platform onto the tracks and That's been gone for a long time until like the last like eight, nine years. Like it just started coming back, and I think the last time I went on a subway, I mean, it was just like a few years ago, and I was like, man, it it's so sketchy and it's so sad. There's a lot of women that are alone, and you know what? You know me, people that have like their little pets with them, like they're going somewhere, and I'm like, oh my god! Like you know, I just worry about like the little children, the little pets, and. Like the old, old men and women, and they're so vulnerable and they are getting attacked. Um, so anyway, I like her ad. I don't know why nothing is ever done about this. Like, they're so focused— like, Letitia's so focused on Trump, and that Boesberg is so focused on Trump, and nobody's focused on the city and the people that live there and the people that are actual, um, citizens of this country and the prices of things. And it's just out of control. So, Owen, I'm going to come to you first. Do you find that ad, like, if you were in New York— well, you're in Chicago, you know what it's like. Do you like that?
Yeah, I mean, I think it would make sense. It seems all like common sense, uh, to me. I think the, the, the problem, I think, is just because they always, you know, so many people just blindly vote blue, they don't necessarily care what ads run or what, you know, anything except what party is in power. And, um, I don't know what kind of rigging or cheating is going on as well, but it just seems like they have a lock on it in New York City. So I, I do hope that it changes. And I hope New Yorkers come to their senses and show up at the polls and make a change. But I'm waiting to see if they're going to wake up because I don't, I don't see it yet. And, you know, I guess my question based on what you said is like, how did we, how did we stop it in the '70s? And I'm guessing it's because they got a mayor in there and leadership in there that said, we're going to clean up the crime. And I remember some of that happening where they did do a lot to try and reduce the crime.
Right.
When it was really bad back then, and I think we should do something similar now. But again, I don't live in New York City, so unfortunately I can't vote to make it happen.
Yeah, I just hope that New Yorkers— I mean, I don't know. I mean, they voted in Mondani, Mom Dom, Donnie. I can never say his name. I don't really want to. But anyway, Marcella, um, I feel like Scott would like this ad. I think it's visually persuasive. It's like emotional. I feel like it hits people where they live and what their daily life is like. Did you like the ad?
Yeah, it's persuasive. I mean, fear is one of the persuasions and visuals, the visual that she's showing, and some of the visuals are real. So yeah, the thing is she's too competent to win for government. She's extremely competent. Sarita has been chief of staff in the DEA. She has clerked for Brett Kavanaugh in the Supreme Court. She's just basically very smart. Harvard undergrad, Harvard Law, like extremely straight A's plus more. So I'm like thinking Letitia James, her. I'm like, yeah.
How lucky would New York be?
Right. So probably people are like, she's too smart, she's too competent, she can't be in the government. Um, but there's a lot— there's a big future out there for her for sure, uh, for all of us that want somebody competent. Um, and LA is just like New York. I, I used to ride the subway or the underground and the, and the, and the different lines, and I remember being caught at 10 or 11 PM in one of the lines in Long Beach, which is like very bad. It's like near— like it was on its way to Compton. So it was like being in prison. So I had to pretend like I was a— like I was a really crazy person in order to survive. Like, I've seen people try to throw people down into the, you know, into the third rail or whatever you want to say. People would get arrested all the time. Like, there was an expectancy of like, Was I going to survive? I stopped riding the metro when one guy got stabbed to death at 6 in the morning. And I was like, oh man, it's not even safe in the morning. So he wasn't doing anything. He was just— he fell asleep in the train and somebody— yeah. So the thing is with crime is that some of the crime, it's not like they're trying to steal your money or anything like that. They just— they're insane. They just want to hurt you.
Hurt you. Hurt you, kill you. They don't care. Like, there's— they literally don't care. They're just like, oh, there's an old man who looks vulnerable and I'm just gonna knock him down. And now, did you notice the new way of fighting the last several years is to stomp on people's heads? It's no longer fisticuffs, right? It's like—
And to film it too.
Yeah, film it, stomp on their head, and maybe we'll— if we don't kill the person, we'll at least— it'll be attempted murder because you're going to damage their brains for their life. So It's a— it's sick. Um, I like her a lot, so they, you know, New York would be really lucky to get her. And like Marcella said, she is overqualified for government, but she would be just such a great person to have for the city. And Letitia just needs to go out to pasture. Um, okay, so someone else running, his name is Justin Murphy. Is it Murphy? Yeah, Justin Murphy against Cory Booker. All right, so Marcella, look him up. Okay, I'm gonna play his clip. And, uh, this is in a debate with Cory Booker, who by the way has been in office like since what, the '90s? He's achieved nothing, okay? And, and Cory Booker, why do you even follow me on Twitter? I don't understand. It's been for a long time. I can't stand you, okay? Anyway, um, so he's going up against Cory Booker, and if, if you're gonna tell me elections are all about the hair, the hair, wait till you see this guy's hair. But, um, this is a just like a fun badass moment. And then, um, Owen, I'll come to you first. If the president calls you—
cell service has gotten a lot better in Tabernacle over the last few years.
That's right. President Trump calls you and says, I'll do whatever you want, what do I do in Iran? What's your answer? Finish it. Finish that war in a positive manner. We can't wait halfway through and decide we don't want to do this anymore. The Iranian Islamic The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is a radical terrorist organization that has deprived the Iranian people and the Persian people of their history and of a decent life. They have murdered, raped, tortured, assassinated, promoted and promoted terrorism all throughout the world, especially in the region of the Middle East. They are a cancer on human existence. I remember as a young boy watching those walls of Iran, November of 1979, watching the radical Islamic terrorists Stormed over the walls of our embassy, and 52 Americans held for 444 days. And ever since November of '79, the IRGC in Iran has done nothing but export terror, murder, rape, oppression, and assassination to the region and to the world. And it's time it stops. 4 decades is enough. The Iranian people have suffered enough. And I would say, Mr. President, put your cowboy hat on and get out there and kick some ass and get this done and done right.
Darling, darlings. I mean, the hair, the attitude, the, the composure. What do we think, Owen?
I think it's great. I mean, I think he, he was very persuasive in terms of how he delivered that. And even just the message is, you know, some really strong message, kind of Very Trumpian sort of sounding in some ways. Maybe not the way Trump talks, but just the fact that he's taking kind of the strongest possible position. So I think it's awesome. It looked like he left Cory Booker kind of speechless at the end because I don't think he was expecting such a strong response. And I think it's a good argument. But again, I don't know what kind of chances he has in the election. I'm guessing his odds went up after that. I know that's been making the rounds on social media and it's getting a lot of attention. And so I hope he does well, and I'd certainly love to see Cory Booker upset, but I'm still kind of skeptical on whether that's going to happen.
I know. I'm going to find more clips of him for you guys. He's great. But Booker's like, I'm behind the scenes back here going, Cory's like, oh no, these are not the talking points that are acceptable. Corey is just so performative. This guy's so dry that I'm a little bit obsessed with how dry he is. Um, so Marcela, what did we find out about Justin Murphy? I want to keep calling him Murray. I don't know why.
Um, he's a U.S. Navy veteran, um, went 4 times in Iraq, Iran, uh, the Persian Gulf, and the Iran-Iraq War. Um, he served different, different, you know, in different capacities in New Jersey, and he's a lawyer. He's basically very capable. Again, another capable person. But I read that in— since 1972, no Republican has won the Senate seat. So that's right, it's up to you Jersey people to vote him in.
I really wish we would get some more attention on New Jersey. I don't know from who because it's not Trump right now. Like, New Jersey That, you know, we, we don't need to try to sway independents and Democrats with Trump. But I don't know who the person would be. But we need attention here to have some Democrats who are fed up because their life is not any better. And, um, I don't know who could it be. We need to brainstorm that. If anyone has a good idea about who could really come to New Jersey to help sway our voters to vote Republican, let me know because I'll, I'll try to work on it.
You don't like Chris Christie?
No, no, thank you.
He should just say like, this is the one— he wants to abolish the IRS. That's where he should start.
Let's go!
That unites people. Let's just say that.
That is uniting. Yes, that's unifying. I want to abolish it too.
There you go.
Seems like that should appeal to a whole bunch of socialists too, I would think.
Yep.
Oh my gosh. So, all right, so we're gonna find out more about Justin moving forward and about Saritha. Saritha. Saritha. I'll find out her name. But listen, we need help here, okay? So like the tri-state area, which is New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, uh, Pennsylvania, you know, New York and New Jersey kind of go hand in hand and It's just been like lockdown Democrat and failing miserably. So we really need help. We really need to have some sane people put in. And I love the idea of this woman as Attorney General for New York. Amazing. Um, oh, okay, Rob, that's interesting. I didn't know that. Um, all right, so what else did we want to do? I felt like there was one other thing I wanted to show you guys, but, um, Owen, why don't you pick one of your news stories Okay, let's see.
So I know, scrolling through my stories—
Owen's got a lot of stories.
Yeah, there's certainly— well, Abdul Al-Sayed is getting a lot of pressure about being part of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was asked by, I guess, Kristen Welker, and he denied it. And she asked, you don't have any ties or your family doesn't? He said no twice, but apparently there's some social media post from his sister that says he and his, his family have been part of the Muslim Brotherhood for many years. And so I think it is pretty clear that he's hiding something there. And so I think Michigan has to decide, do you want to elect someone in a terrorist organization to represent you in, in Congress or in, in Michigan government?
Uh, yeah, I mean Kristen Wilker's just like, okay, you know, it's just like push him, you know, why is he hanging out with Hasan Piker? You know, it just makes no sense. Hasan Piker, do you guys know Hasan Piker? He's like a social media loser. Um, he's made a ton of money preaching all sorts of anti-American hatred. He hates this country, but he lives here. He's made a ton of money off of it. And yes, I will not forget that he's abusive to his dog. And oh, somebody asked how we know that because we've seen it While he's been live streaming. He has like a shock collar on the dog, and if the dog even moves while he's doing his thing, he would shock the dog so the dog would lay back down. Um, so that's enough with him. But anyway, this is who Syed was all partnered up with. Um, wake up everybody, like it is a takeover. And, um, this is why I want, um, Justin Murphy In New Jersey, I mean, New Jersey's turning into like, in Paterson, it's like all Islam now with the call to prayer blasting, mosques being put up everywhere. So I think until people really understand it is a takeover and stop your BS of like, oh, well, he might be nice and he says the right things. Like, does he? And what is this? Like, he says the right things. Like, they've never seen a politician say something and then do the opposite before? That baffles me, Marcela, that people are like, well, he said— it's just crazy to me.
Doesn't say the right things. He says the opposite of the right things. I guess if you want communism, then he says the right things. But, um, what he's claiming to be is what he is, which is a loser. And he's— I mean, yeah, he— and I liked Mike Rogers did a really good debate against him, and he kept saying, you weren't a physician, you didn't practice medicine. So you're not this and you're not that. He couldn't, um, I was impressed by Mike Rogers and, um, the fact Michael Rogers is running against him for Senate. He's the current senator. And so he, he did a really great job in, you know, killing, um, I shouldn't say killing, but, uh, you know, getting him in the right way, you know, being able to debate him and make him seem what he is, which is incompetent and a loser. So, I mean, I, I don't care what religion you are. I, I, to be honest, if you wanted America first and you wanted everything good for America and you weren't going to get rid of all sorts of sides of the government and you weren't going to, oh well, we have to, uh, you know, like Canada has this healthcare and we have to do the same thing and all those things No, you know, visit Canada, please.
Yeah.
Let me— and tell me later what you think of it, uh, in regards to healthcare, you know. So I mean, he is what he is. He doesn't lie about where he is. I just think people believe that there's always going to be rich people providing for them instead of wanting to be rich themselves. I have no idea.
People looking for handouts and like, oh, he said—
People want the easy way out, handouts.
This is how, um, Zoron became the mayor by just saying like, oh, rent and this.
Free stuff.
Yeah, what?
None of it which he's been able to accomplish, but—
Right.
Except that supermarket, I don't know how it's doing.
I don't think there's any food. I don't know if that's a problem, but there's no food. Um, yeah, so it's promising, you know, free stuff for people that, you know, are living in a place where they can't afford to live because it's been so mismanaged, obviously, or you could afford to live there. And people that don't want to pick themselves up and dust themselves off and go for anything because everything's being handed to them. So why would you? I mean, I actually had a friend of mine, one of my very good friends saying, you know, wondering about how to manage her finances. And she's like, you know what, maybe I should just make less because there's no benefit to making more. Maybe I should just make less and just try to live more simply because I'm too afraid to like figure out how to manage my money and it seems like they're going to take more from me and everything else. And I'm like, oh my God, what is happening? This is so crazy. Um, but I do want to end on a high note and that is with one of my absolute favorite bands. I'm not playing their music or I'll get in trouble, but it's Metallica. Yes, people, Metallica. You should see my playlist. I'm all over the place, but Longtime Metallica fan, and I love James Hetfield so much. And they're on tour, and I just want you to hear what James Hetfield said at his concert since everybody has something to say. And I would like to thank him for not forcing me to never listen to them again. Here we go.
We're grateful for that. Your travels, the money you spent, the time it took. Thanks for coming to celebrate with us, and I just gotta say, Metallica is not here like some other entertainers to influence you with their bullshit, okay? We are here—
No bullshit.
We're here to forget about all the outside shit, okay? Metallica's agenda is love, energy, and heavy music, baby!
Heck yeah, heck yeah, James Hetfield, love you! Any Metallica fans out there in the chat? Because oh my God. put my earphones on and blast it into my brain. I'm so excited when that happens. Um, that's what I want. If I want to be entertained, I don't want to know about your political nonsense. I don't care. Like, entertain me. Um, and, and Owen, you know, Prince was getting pretty preachy at the end and I was not enjoying it.
Um, I mean, I, I don't think he went too far into politics, so maybe a couple times, but a lot of it was just more religious.
So, or culture.
Yeah, but I think, you know, to me, I would say like that, that was more because of his religious faith and how he wanted to make sure he was living the life that he was, you know, like saying that he— that people should live. But, you know, I do think more entertainers should just stick to what they do and not be all about trying to influence politics that has nothing to do with their art. It has nothing to do with their music. I think it's even worse when they start writing songs with political messages that they just try to influence politics that way. And I think they are supposed to be entertainers and that's what they should be focused on doing.
I would like to say to Steamer Mongo, some top songs would be Nothing Else Matters, Enter Sandman, and— oh, what's a good one for someone starting out with Metallica? Start off with Nothing Else Matters and Enter Sandman. Those are really fun. But wait, what's the one that like freaks me out? I love it so much I start screaming in my car. I'm like, yes! I can't even think of the name of it. It's so funny. But yes, Metallica. And by the way, Marcella, did you know that Bruce Springsteen, um, what's that song, Born in the USA, we play all Fourth of July long, is like an anti-America song? And I'm like, did you guys know this is an anti-America song? Like, what are we doing? Playing it all the time.
I was with us. Yeah, yeah, that that would be it. Yes, I just wanted to make a correction in regards to Mike Rogers. He's not the current senator. He was a former congressman of Michigan Congress. The current senator that he that they are replacing is, I believe, Gary Peters. But maybe I'll correct that too. We will stay tuned.
Okay, I need to go. So see you guys.
I'll see you.
All right, oh.
Hiyo!
Um, yes, it's Master of Puppets, you guys. That's the other song that— oh, so good. Master— oh, I can't sing it, I'll get in trouble. Okay, so I'm gonna, I'm gonna play some Metallica when I leave because now I'm like all jacked up and ready to go.
Are you playing Metallica now?
I'm— in my head I am. It's blaring and I'm so excited. Um, all right, you guys, we did it! Another Tuesday in the books. Oh my God, you guys! I love this chat. I can't wait to go back and read you guys so many times. I've told you this. Like when I go back and read, I want to like hit reply to your comments so bad and answer things that you've been saying or laugh at it. I can't chunks. We'll get demonetized. Stella loves Enter Salmon. Yes, she does. All right. So start with the Black Album. The Black Album is a great place to start. Okay, you guys. So Marcella. By the way, I think this is your color. This light blue.
All of them are my color.
I mean, honestly, it's true. But this is a beautiful color on you. I love it.
Thank you.
And I like the little twisty top. And Mindy wants you to know there's one top that you wear and she has the same one and she gets very excited when you wear it.
She's like, she needs to tell me which one so I can wear it tomorrow.
Okay, I'll tell you later. Okay. So I am going to read all your comments later. They look fun and juicy. And we, Marcel and I, and on behalf of Owen, want to say thank you so much for being here today. And we want to say thank you to Scott and to Shelley for allowing this show to continue. And to everybody that shows up here now live in the chat or just listening or commuting or whatever you're doing, Thank you so much. And everybody that watches the replay, there's a lot of you and it's very heartwarming. Thank you so much for coming in. Marcella and I will be here holding down the fort tomorrow. And I believe we have a juicy Scott— I don't know if it's a whiteboard or not, but we have a—
Juicy?
It's juicy. So bring a napkin. It's juicy. Clip tomorrow with Scott. And let's have a closing sip to our very beloved Scott Adams. To Scott. To Scott. All right, guys. Marcela, can you stay for a song or you have to bolt?
No, I have to go.
Okay, darling.
I have to go like 10 minutes ago.
Bye, Marcela. Love you. See you tomorrow.
Bye.
Take care.
Okay, you guys. So what should we do? What should we do? Okay, let's find a song. Dun dun dun. Let me see if I see one. I wish I could play Metallica. That would be amazing. Kid, oh, maybe Akira could do like a Metallica Scott mashup. Mm-hmm. I'm gonna see what songs you guys write, and if you want to stay amazing, let's see, let's see. You're naked and ready. Oh my goodness. Okay, thanks you guys. So sweet. I'm a guest. Anything can happen. Ah, Stella! How does she know? I feed her so much food before the show, you guys. Okay, let's see. Anything can happen. Where are you? I'm looking. I'm looking. I swear, sometimes they don't show up. See, I don't see it. All right, so pick your second one, you guys, because it's not here. I don't know why that happens. It's strange. Maybe because it's Rumble. Hmm. Let me see. Oh, um, Sample Stella. That would be hysterical. No other recommendations in the chat? Should I just pick one? I'm going to. Let's do. Let's do do something. Do something coming in hot. Yes, Quantum.
Have you heard the phrase freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose? You've heard that right. Freedom is just another. It's another word for nothing left to lose. How about that college class you were going to sign up for? How about that sport you wanted to get involved in? How about that motorcycle you wanted? Too dangerous, right? You're free.
You're free.
Every one of you who is depressed and anxious, you're free. You're free. Because nothing you do will be worse than the way you feel right now. Do something. Do something dangerous. Psychologically dangerous. Take a chance. Put yourself out there. Flame out. Get killed. Just get smashed. Just go do it. You're free. Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose. You're free. Do something. Do something. Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose.
You're free.
Do something. Do something. If you want to meet people, here's the best way to do it. You have to join activities. There is no other way to meet people and form lasting Friendships. Hear this clearly. There's no other way to do it. You have to join an activity, a club, a sport, a gym, an organization, a political movement. Nothing else.
All right?
You can't just make a friend. Like, good luck. You could try. Well, I don't think I've ever seen it work. Hi, uh, you know, Bob, I'm hearing good things about you. I think we could be friends. Do something. Do something. Join a thing. Make a sport. Form a club of your own. Just go do it. You're free. Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose. You're free. Do something. Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose. You're free. Do something. Why would you not form a club of your own? Because you're afraid nobody would come, right? What's the difference? You're as good as dead. You're depressed, you're anxious, You hate your life. You're thinking about putting a— I can't say that here, but you're thinking about maybe life isn't worth it. You're free. You're absolutely free. Go have some fun. But freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose. You're free. Do something. Now I gotta tell you, I've used this technique a number of times, and man, does it work. It really works. You're free. Just remember that people criticizing you are narcissists. They are broken. Don't let it break you. You've got some techniques now, and I think you're going to be a lot better. Go get yourself Go socialize with some friends and you'll find your mental health problems feel a lot better. Go get involved in something. Join a group. Form a group. Be the boss. That is your advice for the day, and I will talk to you.
Love you, Scott. Love Akira. Love you guys. Like, we're— look, we're in a group right here. We are. But I love that. So I'm trying to convince a friend to do that too. She—I would love to see her join some kind of group and just to like, I don't know, commune with people and not even like make friends, but like just make acquaintances and just get out there. So I like that. Oh, you guys are the cutest, sweetest ever. Mm-hmm. All right, you guys, thank you for a great show today to you guys. I appreciate all of you. So much, and we'll be back tomorrow morning. I always think in my head, God willing. And you guys have a great, great, great day. Think positive thoughts. Author yourself, and be unafraid. Okay? Okay.
Bye, guys.
Bye bye. Stella is creating chaos, I'm afraid. Okay, here I go.
