Attorney-mediator Scott Levin recommends Helping Your Kids Cope with Divorce the Sandcastles Way, a book from the late 1990s that still works for families today. It uses real children's artwork and lessons to show how kids of different ages experience divorce. Levin tells his mediation clients to buy two copies, one for each parent, to improve communication.

Hey everyone, this is Scott Levin, Chief Peacekeeper. I wanted to share one of the materials that I endorse and list on my website in the parenting library section, as well as a book that I often tell clients of mine as an attorney mediator to buy. In fact, I tell them to buy 2 copies, one for each spouse. So this is Helping Your Kids Cope with Divorce the Sandcastles Way. It is a book that was written in the late '90s, but it could not be more relevant, in my opinion, today than it has been throughout that time. It will help you understand how children at all age levels cope and are impacted by divorce, and it will just help you build a better relationship with your children if you're going through a divorce or starting a divorce or even in the post-divorce world. So it has incredible lessons incredibly valuable examples of artwork and comments that real children have written so that you can better understand from a child's perspective, you know, what divorce is. So anyways, Scott Levin, Chief Peacekeeper. I really hope that you'll check this out and talk to you soon.
