A trainer walks you through a rocking exercise to find your center of mass and build ankle stability. Load your forefoot, shift weight to your heels until your toes lift, then rock back and forth. Keep your hips and knees soft to feel how your ankles engage.

What we're going to try to do is work on finding our center of mass and just work on some changes of support in a very straight line, nice tall upright posture. You're going to feel me load my forefoot and then I'm going to push back onto my heels to the point where my heel, my toes start coming off the ground, and then we're just going to kind of rock back and forth and feel the involvement that my foot has in my balance. From the side, you'll be able to see as we shift, the heels will come off the ground and I'm catching myself on my toes, and then I'm pushing myself back, loading the heels. We're just going to work on this body weight perception, just kind of rocking back and forth and feeling the ankle involvement. Right now we're keeping soft hips, soft knees, and just rocking back and forth and just practicing this.
