A coach teaches the heel pull drill to improve running cadence. Start by falling forward from a wall, then jog with high cadence while actively pulling your heels toward your buttocks and landing on your forefoot. This shifts your weight forward and builds efficient running form.

Building on our wall fall, we're actually going to transition into some running now. So still focusing on our change of support and feeling our body weight and center of gravity move forward as we move here, we're going to start using that and just transitioning into an actual jog using our heel pull and using our just change of support. So as I start here, I'll start feet together and we're just going to kind of fall and then work on getting straight into our timber and into our post positioning. Same again, so we're just going to fall, feel our slow fall. And try to get those feet off the ground and keep that nice high cadence and focus on our heel pull. You can see as we run in place, I can keep this same cadence. As I move, I'm just going to keep that natural cadence as we run, and you'll feel the weight shift forward into that forefoot, which is what we want. We want to be using all of our toes and the entire forefoot as we're running and really focusing on pulling that heel towards our butt as we're moving forward.
