A coach teaches the Wall Pose Run drill to build body-weight awareness while moving forward. Focus on soft landings, controlled foot pull instead of kicking, and minimal bounce. You can increase difficulty by widening your angle away from the wall.

Getting into the wall pose run drill, we're going to build on what we did in the wall fall in pose position, and we're going to make it a little bit more dynamic. Again, we're focusing on our body weight perception as we fall forward, and we're also focusing on staying nice and soft through our landing so we're not too bouncy. Okay, so we're going to demonstrate that. So we're going to face the wall, you're going to get into our pose position, we're going to just kind of practice getting into the pose and fall. Getting this wall fall going, okay, and then we're going to work on getting into this run. So again, we're trying to minimize this bounce. We don't want to be really bouncy here. We want to focus on just this pull as we go side to side. If you want to make it a little bit harder, we can increase our angle. And again, keep focusing On pulling the feet off the ground. With this, as we fall or as we pose, we don't want to be kicking behind us. So if you feel your feet dragging behind you, that's not what we want. We want to— as we touch the ground, we want to pull up off the ground.
