Embracing the Flow: Transforming Reality through Acceptance and Love
2 Feb 2024 · 13 min
Sean Clayton explores how to enter flow through acceptance and somatic awareness rather than forced manifestation. He teaches a method: notice what you're feeling in your body, infuse it with love, move it to your heart, and let it ripple outward. The shift from "I" to "we" and embracing negative space as insight transforms how you move through life.

Welcome to the Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy podcast. I'm your host, Sean Clayton, and my story's pretty interesting. Went through a ton of trauma, former incarceration, suicide attempts, sexual abuse in my life. And one of the things that's happened in my life is I've actually used hermetic principles, alchemy, all these really cool tools that we hear and we talk about, the Illuminati, whatever you want to call it, and develop practices in order to change and affect my lives differently. So within this podcast, I will be giving tidbits and bites for individuals to be able to bite into on a daily basis that will allow you to take baby steps to change your life. But at some point, you'll find the door that starts to change the effect of how you show up on a daily basis. Enjoy this, give feedback, come to my Instagram comment, whatever it might be, always open because we wouldn't be here without each other. Please enjoy and thank you, and I love you. Welcome back to another episode of Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy. And on this episode, guys, I would love to go deeper into flow. And I used to talk a lot about this back when I was in my wicked manifestation days. What I mean by wicked is I was doing things to bend the reality to myself that wasn't benefiting me all. And all of the blessings and what I perceived as flow were flowing in and out of my life. And in that state, I ended up recognizing that I was able to create a lot, but I wasn't able to hold a lot. One thing about flow is that it is a constant state. It is a state that we can be in all the time. It is something that is not about the way that you move, but the way things move around you and how you accept the evidence of that which moves around you. So what I mean by that is that thoughts do become things. Our mind creates our reality in that space. It creates a moving picture that engages with the senses that then takes us down a path where we can choose to accept or not accept that which we've created. So now if I'm not accepting that which I've created, I've fallen out of flow. And oftentimes the thing we call judgment is the process of not accepting that which we've created. So I have this saying that I say, when you know yourself, you won't judge anything. When you love yourself, there is no judgment because you accept all that is. So if I'm accepting all that is and the illusion that I've created, I might not be fully satisfied with. And when I witness it, it is going to be a reflection of my internal vibration. I was listening to a speech that Rudolph Steiner did yesterday, and he was talking about the astral plane and dream states and specifically what that looks like. And what was most interesting about it, he said, everything in the astral plane is the opposite. When I used to do, and I still do interpret my dreams. It's not about the what is. It's about what isn't. It's about the negative space. Even Terrence Howard in his flower of life breakdown, if you've checked it out on YouTube, it's not about the flower of life itself. We always chase the circles. We chase the obvious thing that's out there, but the thing that brings the flower of life together and creates the actual construct of it is the space in between. It's that negative space is where all the secrets are hidden. And if we can understand about the negative space where all the secrets are hidden and we start paying attention to that, we start to fill that void up, because that's the frequency of silence. The frequency of truth is that which we're not paying attention to. And when we can recognize that and we start to move through life and then see the evidence of what we're creating, what we don't pay attention to is the vibration from within ourselves of why we've created the experiences in our life. So if I can look at the vibration within myself as to why I've created the experience of my life, and I see something that's low vibration that's taking place, then I can start to make the adjustment in me in order to then create a different reality. And it's not doing it from a space of ego. It's like, oh, this is my reality. So I'm creating. It is our reality. So there's many different ways of changing your language as you go through this process of recognizing flow is all of the I am statements. They're not bad. They're just limiting. It keeps you into yourself. The higher self stuff that we talk about, once again, you're taking yourself and bringing a little mini version of you that sits a little bit bigger than you that you're connecting with. And I know language people are like, sean, you're, like, being way too particular about the words, but the words are very important because they emit a very specific vibration off of the thoughts and the way that you carry things from the inside. I used to be a very big eye guy. Like, I did this, I did that. It's mine. It was a Sean show all the time. And it used to drive my fiance nuts because she was like, you're not considering all the other people that got you here. And I'm like, well, I am. I would give them thanks or I would pay them or whatever it was that I would do, right? But it wasn't giving them that recognition that I truly saw within myself. The other day. You know, in our company, some really awesome things happened. And it was the first time that I really recognized that it was all of us that got us here. It wasn't just me at all. And you hear those speeches on people win awards, and in those speeches they give thanks for everybody that really got them there. But it truly, truly is the us we are, the God, the all, the source that created the whole doggone thing. And without all of it, we can't exist. Without the pain, the pleasure, the hell, the happiness, all of it, the resistance that's there, we wouldn't have the joy that sits on the other side of it. You couldn't see how much joy that there is if you didn't understand the negative space that got you to that joy. So now get back into the flow aspect. As we get into the we state of that flow is being able to accept all that's been created, but then see the inside of why it was created inside of you. So the good days that happen, we kind of do this with shadow work, but we forget to do this with the light work as well. So the light work. When something really beautiful happens, we kind of take it for granted. We're like, oh, great, I got another one. This is another good day. It's like catching a fish. But then we forget that there's the times when the hook is just sitting there in the water and you gotta be patient and you're waiting. And it's almost like a meditation to where you can just sit there and receive everything else that's around you. It's not always about reeling the fish in. It's sometimes about waiting on the fish to come. So as we go through this process of recognizing that there's a space inside of us that we need to see about the good, the beautifulness, having massive gratitude for those things. Of course, it's easy to have gratitude for the good stuff. What about the funky stuff that happens when we can look at that low vibration state of what happens inside of our body? We can recognize where we feel it. And this is the process that I go to, is that every time something, whether I see a Homeless person on the street, or I hear about something horrific in the news, or I talk to somebody and they're hurting, or Sophia, my fiance, has a rough day and she's coming at me, and I'm now the punching bag for that. What is it inside of me? Where do I feel that? And the more that I tune in on that feeling of where it shows up in my body, whether it's in my stomach or in my head, or I get a headache over it, or my ears start tingling or something along those lines, that's the feeling. There's a feeling. Cool thing about the body is it gives us a somatic response to tell us where energetically things are. Now what I do at that point is I don't go work to make sense of that feeling off of my own logical conditions. I just feel my way into it. I close my eyes, I feel my way into it. And then what I do from there is I put a very specific energy on that feeling that is more love. And what I do is not try to figure out why it's there, but I figure out why I created it to love myself. So when I understand why I created that feeling in my sacral to love myself, and there's something within my narrative and my story that I can now expand that into a different state of wholeness. I've now taken that little energy that's in the space between, that's in the space inside, and the gravity that created that space that we call love starts to expand. All of a sudden, that feeling dissipates. I move it up into my heart. And then as I move it into my heart, I become still with it. And then once it hits the heart, the coolest thing happens is it does this thing where it just like expands out and it creates a different, like, wave in my life. It's almost like you drop the pebble in the water and then the ripple effects just start to go. And then the illusion of my life starts to shift and change. It starts to actually the. The. The colors become brighter, the conversations start to shift. My fiance becomes happier in that moment. My son becomes more joyous in that moment. Clients start to change their energy in the way that they actually show up. You know, money starts to change. Everything just starts to shift. And it's not a manipulative way of going about it. It's just the fact that I have now accepted what was happening in my life. I've allowed it to flow around me. I've allowed the chaos in my life to give me a Hug. I've allowed it to wrap itself and embrace me in such a way that I can be still enough to continually alchemize it. Because what's happening is the. The feeling inside of you is the everything that's going on outside of you, and it's rolling around you and it's up to you to then take it and turn it back into a really beautiful thing. What I love about watching nature is the rock never fights the current. It just allows it to move around it. And then what ends up happening with that rock, it becomes smoother over time. The rock that tries to fight the current is the rock that gets knocked down the river and it keeps getting displaced over and over and over again. So the question is, what rock are you going to be? Are you going to be the rock that actually stands in stillness and allows flow to move around it so that you can actually recognize all the blessings that you've created, or are you going to be the one that actually fights it and has to keep getting back on that surfboard over and over again? The analogy of surfing, a lot of people use it in flow as like, hey, when you get back on, just get back on again. And you're really very present, which is true. Surfing is a very present state. Now, how can you surf forever? You can surf, be, you can surf forever. By actually, instead of becoming the surfer itself, which some of us do, we do that in our individuated state. We become the cruise ship. We become the energy that contains it all. We allow the current to move around us. We don't get caught in the little waves. We don't get caught in the aspect of, oh, now I've got to actually paddle back out there and do this all over again. We just become presence. And when we make the decision to move, we move with a very specific intention of where we're going, why we're going, and taking a direction on how to get there. And when we don't move, our stillness and our presence creates a gravity where individuals come to us, where the experiences wrap themselves around us and we become more whole and more still in those moments. So the one thing to take away from this is that be the container that holds the. We look at it from all perspectives and understand how to benefit the all from there. Have the world move around you and give you a hug and know that every experience was something for love. Once we go through the process of doing this in our stillness, the illusion of the world outside of us will completely change. And when it changes and shifts and we then participate in then will reward us in that process of participation because we're actually moving in the flow of life that we've created. On the next episode, we're going to talk about how to find purpose in your work and walking in that purpose so that work doesn't feel like a chore that you can bring the things that you enjoy into it and start to shift the narrative of how to become your most loving self. Once again, thank you, and I love you.
