Sean Clayton uses alchemical language to teach how flow isn't ease but effortless work: raising your standards, accepting vulnerability, and applying love to what you do so it feels playful. He frames his recovery from trauma and incarceration as a practice for widening your capacity to receive.

Welcome to the Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy podcast. I'm your host, Sean Clayton, and my story is pretty interesting. Went through a ton of trauma, former incarceration, suicide attempts, sexual abuse in my life. And one of the things that's happened in my life is I've actually used hermetic principles, alchemy, all these really cool tools that we hear when we talk about the Illuminati, whatever you want to call it, and develop practices in order to change and affect my lives differently. So within this podcast, I will be giving tidbits and bites for individuals to be able to bite into on a daily basis. That will allow you to take baby steps to change your life. But at some point, you'll find the door that starts to change the effect of how you show up on a daily basis. Enjoy this, give feedback, come to my Instagram comment, whatever it might be, always open because we wouldn't be here without each other. Please enjoy and thank you and I love you. Welcome to Daily Alchemy with Sean Clayton. Here's another episode for you. This is going to be a fun one because it's actually about my day today. I woke up, I'm like, man, I'm going to take on the world. And all of a sudden all this crazy stuff started happening. It's like time started to collapse onto itself. Ended up getting this one kind of response on one of my Instagram posts about flow and detachment and how to stay in that flow versus the process of detaching from or staying attached to. And we have these three dimensional things that pop up. What do we do with that? And I started to think, okay, flow should be easy. And that's one of the things we've gotten confused about, is that the word flow is ease or easy. And the illusion of easiness means that it's like effortless. But this effortlessness in the 3D perception of effortlessness, not the effortlessness in the five dimensional aspect of it. And I'll explain the difference between the two here in just a second. But flow isn't always supposed to be easy. When I watched Michael Jordan win many of A championship, or LeBron get into his thing, or you see Carl Lewis or any of these great athletes, Tom Brady, get into flow, it looks easy. It's not easy. They have raised the bar so much that they have to overcome and achieve so much, they have to beat that bar. And in achieving the standards of that bar, it takes work, but it takes what I would call effortless work. So how do you make work look Effortless. It's the process of becoming one really vulnerable with yourself around. What did you ask for? So this morning I asked for an amazing day. I didn't get really specific about it, but I asked for an amazing day. I created that amazing day and I put a bunch of obstacles in my way to overcome and they were really nonsensical obstacles, but for the most part I shouldn't have had enough time in the day to complete them. I've already completed them, which is amazing. Number one for number two within that space of completing them. And it's three o'. Clock. Just to put some context to them, I've already completed them and I still have a lot of energy and I still feel really good. And for a minute I was about to collapse out of frustration. Then I reminded myself, when you put frustration in your intention, I go back to the first law of mentalism and thoughts become things. What am I creating? I'm not only creating the outcome, but I'm creating a frustrating version of that outcome. So if I'm looking to create a flowy version of that outcome, I have to actually receive it and become really vulnerable with it and understand what I have asked for. And then within that it becomes flow. Now I have to up level my efforts, my work efforts, right? I have to might have to do a little bit of extra something in order to get there, but it doesn't mean that it's going to be easy. Easy. It's not. I'm not going to just like get away with something and all of a sudden it's just going to rally around me. What it does mean is that as I started to ask for more capacity, a lot more stuff's going to roll into my wheelhouse. As I've started to create that capacity from the ask of I am, a lot of people come into my ecosystem and can I manage that? And can I manage that with ease and grace? Can I manage that in a state of love? And when I apply that loving outcome to it, I'm going to get the loving outcome outside of it. And when I get the loving outcome outside of it, then what happens is that I release the expectations because the expectations are the things that traps me. Somebody asked me about attachment versus detachment. So I have to detach from the expectation, but I have to embrace the intention. If I attach to anything, then I become that and I become a limited version of my expansive self. So if I'm looking to become unlimited, I'm looking to become whole, I'm looking to become all. But I'M also looking to not control, but continue to influence and stay in a state of flow. What I have to do at that point is remember that I am here to receive all of the blessings that I've already created for myself. And that when things become perceivably unbearable, it's me saying, hey, you know what? I've actually gotten to the point where I need to increase my capacity. The only thing that feels unbearable is the fact that I have an illusion of capacity that's smaller. And now I have to go into the space of saying, okay, I need to change that illusion because that's not real, and I can widen my aperture to receive more. This is how we start to move into a different state of flow. This is how we stay in flow all of the time. When the world's giving us the illusion that we need to back off of that flow. I encourage you to remember that flow is not easy. Might be ease, but it's ease of accepting your power. It's ease of accepting your influence. It's ease of accepting the fact that you can create out of love. And when you do that, the world will dramatically shift for you. What's the difference between 3D effortlessness and 5D effortlessness? So the 3D effortlessness is about what the world has told you is easy. It's the relaxation. It's the doing nothing. It's the, like, man, that just looked really simple for somebody. The 5D effortlessness is when you apply love to the effort and the work that you're doing that allows it to feel like it's not work. So when we recognize that it doesn't feel like it's work, then it's all a game, and it's fun. It's play. So when we can take the work that we're doing and turn it into a playful circumstance, then we put ourselves in a 5D effortlessness, and it's actually always moving in love. And that's when we start to create virility. Because when people watch you do it, they're looking at you and saying, man, I want to be like that guy. That's that Tom Brady. That's that Michael Jordan effect. That's that. You know, you see these amazing leaders do really magical things, and you're like, man, that looks like a lot of fun. I want to be like that. That's where inspiration comes from. So remember, it's about moving into 5D effortlessness. It's not about the 3D traps that we get caught in. I know that we are fully capable of this, and it's a deeper level of our higher selves and consciousness that we have forgotten about. This is what the great alchemists have done, if you believe in any of these secret societies, what they have done. But they've done it in a little bit of a vacuum that has kept them away from being really open and vulnerable. And what it does, it puts a cap on your capacity. So at this point, it's about removing the cap on capacity, becoming super open and vulnerable with all, sharing the knowledge, sharing your love, moving in ease, and knowing that you might have to work hard at it sometimes. And that's okay. Thank you guys for tuning in, and I absolutely appreciate you and I love you.
