Hacking Karma: Sitting in the Seat of Cause for Divine Outcomes
20 Sept 2023 · 18 min
Sean Clayton explores karma as cause and effect, contrasting reactive living from the seat of effect with centered creation from the seat of cause. Moving to the causal plane requires vulnerability, owning your purpose, and widening your vessel to receive divine outcomes and rewire neural pathways.

Welcome to the Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy podcast. I'm your host, Sean Clayton, and my story's pretty interesting. Went through a ton of trauma, former incarceration, suicide attempts, sexual abuse in my life. And one of the things that's happened in my life is I've actually used hermetic principles, alchemy, all these really cool tools that we hear and we talk about the Illuminati, whatever you want to call it, and develop practices in order to change and affect my lives differently. So within this podcast, I will be giving tidbits and bites for individuals to be able to bite into on a daily basis that will allow you to take baby steps to change your life. But at some point, you'll find the door that starts to change the effect of how you show up on a daily basis. Enjoy this, give feedback, come to my Instagram comment, whatever it might be, always open because we wouldn't be here without each other. Please enjoy and thank you, and I love you. All right, all right, all right. So this episode I'm super excited about because we're going to be discussing karma. Karma is now one of my favorite topics. And here I go using those duality words again. But I really love the opportunity to embrace and understand karma only because it throttles between those windows of cause and effect. And a lot of individuals, I'd say probably 99.9999% of humanity is living in the plane of effect and not the seat of cause. And that 1% or that 0.11%, whatever it might be, did some bad math. There is moving from the seat of cause versus the seat of effect. So in going through this conversation, let's talk about the difference between the seat of cause and the seat of effect. What that looks like from a geometrical perspective, what that looks like from a impact perspective as it relates to our daily lives, how we see evidence of it, and also when it just gets back into the deepest core of spirituality, of even how we solve trauma, how we create life, how we understand the intersections of relationships. And when we start to move ourselves into the seat of cause, karma becomes a factor, non factor. And what I mean by factor, non factor, it means that karma still exists because cause creates the effect, and every effect has a cause. However, in that space of understanding the relationship between cause and effect, if you are constantly at the seat of cause, if we are constantly at the seat of cause, what ends up happening is that the effects just pour out. We open up our vessel of self in a really beautiful way, and I'll talk about how we open up that vessel so that we can contain more, pull in divine intuition and constantly move things from a causal plane. And then at which point, the world just becomes hyper divine. So to go into one little aspect of it, when we look at the world through the lens and the lane of correspondence, or the plane of correspondence, or the law of correspondence, we have to understand that as you do one thing, you do all things. So correspondence always leads as an energetic tie between the rhythm of our life, how we create permanence, and the aspect of karma. So if you think about karma and the cause and effect, if I am always living in the seat of effect, what will happen is, is that I'm now chasing, let's use like a hub and a spoke kind of thing on the outside of the wheel. It takes a lot longer to get fully around the wheel versus the inside of the wheel. The inside of the wheel, I'm always in the middle. I'm always centering. I'm always moving around the entire ecosystem, and I'm witnessing the actual wheel move around me. If I'm on the outside of the wheel, then I'm only at one point, and I'm witnessing the ground every now and then hitting my face. If I'm on the wheel, and if I look back in, I'm watching source throttle things out, and then I'm looking at the evidence of the rest of the wheel moving around and saying, man, I really don't want to be on the pavement right now. I want to be on the top of the wheel. And then what happens is that we covet the other side of the wheel. We want for the other side of the wheel. And then at which point we're never really at the seat of cause, we're just moving ourselves around it. And there's a lot of efforting in moving ourselves around the outside of that wheel. This is that geometry that we talk about, the outside of the circle versus the inside of the circle. If you guys have ever studied sacred geometry and you look at the initial thing that you would draw in any aspect of sacred geometry, it's a point which they call source, the singularity. And then you expand out with the circle that's outside of it, which is how the energy creates what's outside of it. Same image as an atom. Same image as when a sperm goes into an egg. Sperm goes into an egg. It creates the fertilization. And then what happens is you have an expansion, and the cells start to actually expand themselves. So when you understand the correspondence of all of these signs that we've been given and how this ecosystem really does work within the aspect of the plane of cause, the plane of effect, what ends up happening is, you know, how to create a different outcome, a different destiny. If I were saying, hey, I really want my child to look like another child, and then I'm in the process of wanting to fertilize, let's say, my loved one, okay, in order to have a child, well, I will never have a child that looks like another child. I will only have a child that looks like the one that's created from the cause of me and her. So if I have a child created from the cause of me and her and I surrender into that, it will look exactly the way that I'm surrendering it into it looking, but it will have no expectations tied to it because I'm not sitting at the seat of effect. And then all you do is you receive the most loving outcome because you know that when you infuse the opportunity to cause anything to happen in your life or in our life, then everything in the effect is created out of love or the highest vibration of love. So that's where everything is love. Fear is love. Love is fear. The whole thing is that. But one is a lower vibration, one's a faster vibration, which is why oftentimes you have a very specific output that happens on the effect side, that is low vibration. Because the correspondence and the vibration you create creates the outcome from how you created from the causal plane if you were living in effect. So what I mean by that is if you're living in effect, you're creating from effect, which means you're only creating from one opportunistic aspect of the outside of this wheel of the circle. And when you're creating from one opportunistic perspective of that circle, you're not creating from singularity, you're creating from an extension of singularity, which then means what you're creating in limitation, you're creating on the effect plane. And nothing wrong with that still love, there's still creation that happens in it. It's just not the wholeness that is you. And the reason why humanity has been broken is we're all creating from the effect plane. And even the brokenness of humanity, we're starting to witness that we no longer are looking to live there. We're looking to find our way back to singularity. And the doorway back to singularity is understanding this whole causal plane. So now that we have somewhat of an understanding around this causal plane and how we can build from it. We can then say, okay, what am I a cause creator of? And what am I being impacted as from being an effect creator of? So if you take an inventory of your life and you sit down and you say, okay, how much of my life have I been looking to be like somebody else? How much of my life have I gone through the process of listening to somebody else's instructions for me and then creating out of those instructions because I'm afraid that I might not be able to survive. I might not be accepted, I might not be loved. I did it all the time. I would do it in my relationships, which is why I got married three times. I used to do it in where I worked. I used to sell like the worst stuff in the world to clients. I had these little wacky advertising platforms and they did an okay job, but they weren't what they claimed to be. And what I recognized is that I'm selling somebody else's hopes and dreams. Their hopes and dreams are built from an aspect of fear. I'm now living in their effect plane and I'm working my ass off to make it something. But it never really became what it was. If you take even basketball, there's so many players in the world that want to be like Michael Jordan. They want to be like Kobe Bryant, to be like the best that's ever out there. The ones that are the greatest are the ones that have their own unique style. They create from their own perspective of cause. You take like a LeBron James for instance. LeBron crushes it. There's nobody else that ever played like him. He's like a merge between like several players put together. Steph Curry, the guy killed, the three point shot, nothing else in the world like him. Those that really start to make a impact are the ones that create from a different aspect of cost. They come in with a point of difference. They know their uniqueness and they stand in that truth in such a beautiful way that the rhythm that they create from the correspondence of knowing themselves creates a very divine outcome. It creates such a grounding and such an intensity that their ability to expand infinitely in that container from whatever talent it is that they do is highly rewarded by the universe, by self, by your own creation. So if there are things in our lives, in your life that we're doing, that is not an integrity of your knowing and yourself and your truth. And you're doing anything in order to be in another person's consciousness because you're afraid of surviving. You're in the seat of effect. You're living in that plane of effect. You're not in the causal plane. When we look at it through the lens of cause, then we find our purpose. We find our uniqueness. And in my Instagram, in my bio, I've created this survey where it generates a purpose statement for you. And that purpose statement is not perfect, but it's directional. And it'll give you a understanding of, like, hey, here's my talent. Here's what I love. Here's what I fear as I overcome that. And all you do is we just put ourselves in a rhythmic state of permanence, of, like, repeating that, repeating that, repeating that. What will then happen is neurologically, it'll start to carve new pathways that then allow us to uniquely gain a different perspective to where we are now in our own space. Because everybody will have their own purpose statement. Everybody has their own level of uniqueness. The more vulnerable you get, the more truthful that it gets. So if you give it, like, one answer, you kind of halfway do the talent thing, you know, cool. You'll get something, and it kind of guides you in a direction. And at some point, you'll be like, well, that was pretty cool. Like, I got closer to my knowing. But what if I really get naked in this? What if I really become vulnerable and I really sit at the seat of cause and I strip away all the impediments that have kept me tied to some societal construction that has defined me as the person separate from oneness? When we do that, what will happen is we blow open the container, and then what does source want to do? Source just wants to pour right into us because we have become so open that we are now a vessel to receive when we close off. We're not a vessel to receive. Imagine trying to pour a million gallons of water into a Coca Cola bottle. It just doesn't happen. The more open that we get, that we widen our vessel to receive, the more that we're able to contain. So openness, vulnerability allows receivership. And in that receivership, we start to receive massive divine knowledge and information. I know I talk about, on a couple of other episodes, about the intuition of a woman or feminine energy versus that of a man. We all have the ability to receive this. It all has to do with our vulnerability and openness. One of the beautiful things about the way that women move through life is they are, when they are safe, significantly more vulnerable and open than even the way that a hormonal balance of masculinity can be. And they draft in a different level of intention and intuition than we could possibly do. Nothing wrong with that. But I'll give you an example. I have neurologically gotten on an eeg, taken intuition studies and taken resilience studies which would be like more integration. Sophia blows me out of the water on intuition every single time. I've been training on it three times longer than she has and she blow me out of the water day one. On the other hand, my ability for like salience, resilience and integr, what I call like the actual integration work, I blow her out of the water. So just like neurologically we're mapped differently. And through that it allows us to then start to surrender into a different understanding because we just know that the physical makeup of ourselves has the ability to do different things. When we understand that aspect of how we move in integrity and how we move in intuition and intention, what will happen is we can understand how we move through that seed of cause in order to then create very specific outcomes and how to work with other individuals who are a reflection of oneness in humanity with ourselves in order to then gain that information that we might not have access to. Everybody in our life is a sign, is a message, is information for us to be able to receive. When we shut off from them, we shut off from ourselves. When we are not open and vulnerable to individuals in our life, we are not vulnerable and open to ourselves. So how would it even be possible that you would be able to receive any information without the opportunity of doing that? And we think because we are afraid and other individuals that have been open and vulnerable have been hurt, that we're going to be hurt too. The reality of it is most individuals that become open and vulnerable do it tiptoeing into the water. They don't make the splash and they're not really in receivership. And when that happens, we now use the reference point of somebody gently being vulnerable and stepping into those waters as somebody who is not able, Somebody stepping into those waters as a truth factor of what it looks like to get hurt in the space of vulnerability. To tell you the truth, the more vulnerable that I have gotten in my life, the stronger and more impactful that I am. And it doesn't mean in any way that I am bulletproof. It doesn't mean in any way that I am not susceptible to chaos happening in my life. But what I am recognizing is that I am the cause creator of it. And the minute that I put any type of fear based thought out there, any type of concern or worry out there, and it happens like I'll say some dumb shit sometime, but anytime that I do something, literally there is a outcome that is now more real time in my life that creates an effect of unharmonious low vibration love. Now I'm at the point to where I have the free will choice which was given to us in creation to choose differently of how I go through the process of loving myself. We all have this power. We all have the ability to influence it this way. And it is very, and I'm telling you, very systematic in how we execute. I'm going to keep talking about this and I'm going to invite you guys to start participating in it because I absolutely know that we all have this ability. None of us are crazy, none of us are mentally ill. We have different talents, we have different DNA makeups and that what makes us uniquely us. But we are all reflections of each other moving to the path of oneness. And we recognize that every individual one of us has a very specific role in raising humanity that is about the unity of the oneness for all. That is when we evolve. We have not evolved because we have not taken that position as an aspect of oneness. So I'm excited to continue sharing with you guys. I know that we are all on this path together. I know some people are going to love this. Some people are going to be like meh. But it's going to land, but it's going to plant a seed and that seed is going to grow and that growth is going to turn into a really beautiful flower that is going to make this world embrace and love itself like it never has before. Thank you so much for tuning in and I love you all.
