Sean Clayton hosts a Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy podcast episode about vulnerability as the doorway to personal transformation. Drawing on his own history of trauma (incarceration, suicide attempts, sexual abuse) and practices from hermetic/alchemical frameworks and the Hoffman Process, he argues that radical vulnerability makes inner structures permeable so we can alter our energetic states and create lasting change. The episode mixes metaphor (alchemy, periodic table, tree→galaxy), pragmatic steps (awareness, expression), cultural references, and an invitation to embrace vulnerability and purpose.

Welcome to the Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy podcast. I'm your host, Sean Clayton, and my story's pretty interesting. Went through a ton of trauma, former incarceration, suicide attempts, sexual abuse in my life. And one of the things that's happened in my life is I've actually used hermetic principles, alchemy, all these really cool tools that we hear when we talk about the Illuminati, whatever you want to call it, and develop practices in order to change and affect my lives differently. So within this podcast, I will be giving tidbits and bites for individuals to be able to bite into on a daily basis. That will allow you to take baby steps to change your life. But at some point, you'll find the door that starts to change the effect of how you show up on a daily basis. Enjoy this, give feedback, come to my Instagram comment, whatever it might be, always open because we wouldn't be here without each other. Please enjoy and thank you and I love you. On this episode, I want to talk about vulnerability and decoding vulnerability through the lens of creation. And why is it that so many spiritual guides and individuals that get into the space around this process of changing yourself or changing anything about life really hone in on this vulnerability and truth aspect of things? One, it's simple. When you get into that space of vulnerability, it allows you to open up, it allows you to have conversations, it allows you to express. But there's a deeper aspect around vulnerability that's really tied to alchemy. And alchemy is the ability to change something from one state to another state. And when things are in state, there is the illusion of permanence. And if you take the illusion of permanence and you say, okay, I've got, and I like to use the periodic table for this is I've got, let's say, I don't know, carbon. And I want to take that carbon and turn it into another element. What would I need to do? I would need to increase the vibration of all of those protons, neutrons, and electrons, adjust the coherence and the energy of that and. And then add a little bit to it so that it attracts something a little bit different in order to create a different elemental shape. And when it creates a different elemental shape, along with the addition of different protons, neutrons, and electrons, what happens? It turns into gold. But how would I be able to actually change the permanence of another element in order to be able to adjust it to another state? So if I go back through the seven Laws that we've talked about before, and I look at the principalities of those laws, and then I start to think a little bit about creating what I call something becoming a little softer. And then what would I need to do to make that permanent shape become softer or permeable? I would need to make it more vulnerable, right? And if I were wanting to make it more vulnerable in that state of vulnerability, if I step into the present moment while it's vulnerable, and I start to change the energy of that actual entity itself, whatever it may be, it'll start to attract different things to it, right? It'll actually start to adjust itself. And then when you create a rhythmic state off of that actual moment of permeability with a different energy tied to it, what will happen? The illusion of that permeable item, whatever it might be, with that different energetic state on it will appear in a state of permanence as something new. So now to go backward on that a little bit again, what does it require? It requires us to become wildly vulnerable. And because we have all these emotions, we tie vulnerability into this state of weakness. We tie vulnerability into this state of being too open that somebody's going to hurt us. But if we start to become master alchemist of our life, what we will use is we will start to become so truthful and vulnerable that when we have the ability to open up to ourselves, one, we're able to see the feelings. Cool thing about feelings is that the feelings, like, rule the world. They move the world more. Wars and chaos and love and magic and business deals. I've been driven by feelings. They're either driven by somebody's ego, they're driven by somebody's fear, they're driven by love. We rarely use these feelings in order to help us accelerate our lives in a meaningful way that isn't what I would consider compressing. And that compressing means that I'm doing something out of fear of not having. Because I don't think I have enough money. So I have to work my ass off. I have to do these other things. All of a sudden, these feelings that I have about feeling and lack create this, like, really amazing business. And then that business turns into me becoming this ogre. And that ogre is like, now I've got to rule this thing. And I become this little dickhead king that now has created this kind of awesome business, and the business makes some money. And now my ego is guiding me down the path of money. And then I get into the state of my life at some point to where Everybody wakes up because you got nothing else to do. If you've got all this money and you're like, oh shit, I was doing this wrong. And then they go on this crazy ass spiritual journey. Not quite what happened to me. I went through the whole prison thing and some other things, but, but it still led me to a similar space that a lot of these other individuals get to. And they're like, there's gotta be more than this. And it forces them into a space of vulnerability. Now what we have to remember is that this process of alchemy and looking at this energetic construct of life, that one, it's all an illusion. So if you, if you take some practical steps out of this, you say, okay, the world that I'm in is this freaking illusion. This illusion is these vibratory states that are all around me. I'm creating them through my sensory perceptions and I now have the ability to crew look at all of them and find all of the vulnerable aspects of it. Now those vulnerable aspects of everything around me come from the fact that I've created that vulnerability through my own eyes and my own creation. It's kind of nuts. So I'm looking at all the world and the world is going to appear way or the other. The world is going to appear bright and shiny and loving. And I use this example like after I went to the Hoffman process, we all came out of it and a couple of us, we grounded for like a day. Then a couple of us went to dinner one night and when we were driving down the street, we felt like we were going 100 miles an hour, we were going like 25 and cars were flying by us and we were like, why is everybody speeding? All the colors were super vibrant, super clear. And one thing about the Hoffman process is you do all this really cool pattern work and you start to drop all of the different constructs. And what does it do? It, it helps you get into that deep, deep state of vulnerability. So that vulnerability within yourself allows you to then see the world in a more malleable state, in a more permeable state. And so all of the colors are way greener, everything's moving significantly faster. The illusions aren't the same illusions that you saw before that were like this normal state. And one thing that you don't do right afterward is you try to do some like alchemical thing to where you're starting to adjust your reality because you're really centering yourself and integrating everything that you've learned so you can create a different state of permanence. Off of removing those patterns. But as you start to change what's happening, what you can remember is as you've gone through that process, and I'm going to give you guys like a quick grass course in the Hoffman real quick is that you can become wildly vulnerable for the rest of your life. And you can start to see all of the colors that same way everything starts to move significantly faster. But you know why it's moving faster? Because why? You created it to move faster. You can slow things down, you can speed things up, you can start to actually allow yourself to move into this different vibratory state to where you can adjust all of the love in your life. And it requires what Hoffman they grew this four step process where the first step is you go through making sure you're aware of what's happening. If you're not aware of anything, you can't actually become vulnerable to it. If you can't actually step into an aspect of expressing things, then you're not being vulnerable because you're not getting it out. Now a lot of the process with Hoffman is expressing your trauma and getting it out. But you have to express good things too. And it's not in a bragging way. And what's really interesting about society is the fact that we have made or not made. We can't make anybody do anything. But we have influenced individuals into feeling bad about sharing their wins, about talking about their success. And we should be so welcoming with somebody having a great amazing day. Somebody's getting a hundred dollar test, let's talk about it. If somebody's crushing it at work, let's talk about it. Let's be vulnerable with our successes as well as our failures because we can support each other in the failure and hold somebody in the shame that they have, but not make somebody or not push somebody to feel shameful because they're winning. We're constantly looking to balance individuals out. And what will happen is, is that the winds start to become normal. And when that norma of the wind start to happen because we've become vulnerable about it, we're not trying to like credit check and balance ourselves back into this like really awkward state that society says we should be in. What's really interesting is that we hate celebrities, we hate individuals that are doing so well. We look at them, we say, oh, that's just too much. Right? And that's not okay. We should be championing individual successes and make that the new normal. Make it to where everybody has a million dollars, everybody's out there winning and that's just normal. That's the baseline. Now you're. So then inflation will happen and all this other stuff. Who the fuck knows? Okay? But if people are living in their fulfillment and their abundance and they are just like wildly successful in whatever it might be, because they're grounded in their purpose and they're grounded in their divinity, right? And they're walking through life in an amazing way that starts to change the narrative and it happens through the doorway of vulnerability. And that vulnerability then starts to create the truth in your life. And you're not living somebody else's purpose, you're not living in somebody else's lie, you're not living in somebody else's manipulation because you are the creator of your life. And that's how we go through the process of making exponential changes. We become the alchemist because we create malleability and basically permeability in the impermanent structures that have the illusion of permanence that are all around us. So then things just start to change. And I would rather go through the process of changing my feelings that start to create a new reality outside of me than go than sitting here with a piece of lead working to turn it into gold. I'm sure that could be a doable thing with a bunch of science and me doing some really interesting activities around it. But the real easy process is, is that you've got yourself sitting with you, alchemize yourself, turn yourself into this beautiful being that creates a different reality. And then what's going to be awesome is when you ground the shit out of yourself in life and you can sit there, you become the tree that attracts everything to you. And then you start to expand that tree into a forest. And then that forest turns into what? A planet. And then that planet turns into a galaxy, and then that galaxy turns into a universe. And then you are the creator of all of it. And in such a non egoic way, because you are constantly letting go of the outcomes that don't serve you, and you're constantly expanding the ones that do. And when you let go of the ones that don't serve you, they just run away, they move away. But the thing of it is, is that you loved them so much that they come right back and they're like, okay, this isn't me. I am this person, not that person. I am this entity, not that entity. And that is when the world starts to vibrate at a different pace. And I truly know this is not even a belief that we all have the ability to do this at the same Time. And people say that these podcasts that I talk about are complex whatnot. And it might require somebody to listen to it again. But it was like when I started going down my journey and I'm listening to Dr. Joe or I'm listening to Eckhart Tolle, or I'm listening to Wayne Dyer, or I'm reading certain books or whatever it might be. I even write something down and read it 50 times. Cause I'm like, what the hell did I just write? Or what did I just say it? But I know that there's some truth when I'm moving in that aspect of flow that I need to go back through the process of remembering. And even all of this is evolving. There were times when I was going through this and I'm like, I don't know how I'm gonna put out any more content. I've got. I've only got so many things to say. But what I find is the more that I step into that vulnerable truth and I keep doing the work, despite whether it's one person that listens or a million people, or 10 million or whatever the number is, it doesn't matter if that one goes out and does significantly better work with it. That's all that matters. If there is a better. But if somebody's able to take it and turn it into something more expansive, great. It just requires one of us to stand in truth. And then we all stand in truth. As you do one thing, you do all things. So if I am whole, we are all whole. If you are whole, we are all whole. And it is just continuing to remember that that is what all of these great masters, if you ever want to call them that stood for, is when even the sad, sad story that we perceive that Jesus went through him being able to ground and hold himself on that freaking cross for whatever his purpose was, he was in his purpose. And people might have called that crazy at the time, but he was in his purpose. And those that were with him were in their purpose. And it doesn't mean that he was the only way. But Muhammad, Moses, Buddha, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, any of these individuals that have just stood and grounded in their purpose, Jean Michel Vasquia, artists that are out there that were willing to do whatever it took in order to believe it. And some of them went through a lot of pain too. But there is a way that we can elevate because we don't have to go back into the chaos of society to change whatever that baseline is, that four minute mile, that new reality. And elevate that to a new outcome. I'm telling you, this world, we're all. We're in for a whole new shake up here, and it's going to be freaking sexy, and it's going to be so much fun, and we're going to be walking in these crazy, beautiful, orgasmic states, and I'm so excited to be a part of it with all of us, because we're bending and folding time and changing past, present, and future, and we're going to do something really magical. So be vulnerable. Love yourself. Love everybody around you. Change that energy moment by moment by moment, and the world will create a new, permanent structure outside of you. Thank you so much for listening, and I love you.
