The Second Law of You: As Above, So Below
9 Oct 2023 · 24 min
Sean Clayton hosts the Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy podcast episode 'The Second Law of You: As Above, So Below' (Oct 9, 2023). He frames his personal history of trauma and healing and introduces the hermetic law of correspondence—'as above, so below'—arguing that micro-level patterns (cells, DNA, thought) correspond to macro-level reality (relationships, society, cosmos). He gives biological, relational, atomic, and cultural examples (e.g., embryo development, proton/electron metaphor, tarot/psychic readings, the film Transcendence) to show how recognizing these reflections enables personal integration, healing, and manifesting wholeness.

Welcome to the Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy podcast. I'm your host, Sean Clayton, and my story's pretty interesting. Went through a ton of trauma, former incarceration, suicide attempts, sexual abuse in my life. And one of the things that's happened in my life is I've actually used hermetic principles, alchemy, all these really cool tools that we hear and we talk about the Illuminati, whatever you want to call it, and develop practices in order to change and affect my lives differently. So within this podcast, I will be giving tidbits and bites for individuals to be able to bite into on a daily basis. That will allow you to take baby steps to change your life. But at some point you'll find the door that starts to change the effect of how you show up on a daily basis. Enjoy this, give feedback, come to my Instagram comment, whatever it might be, always open because we wouldn't be here without each other. Please enjoy and thank you and I love you. So as we venture into law number two, let's do a quick recognition of law number one, Law number one that we talked about in the prior episode. Be gentle with your thoughts. Feel your thoughts. Understand how they actually create the universe around you. And understand how. Because when we get into law number three, everything being vibration and energy, whenever those thoughts create a different tuning on that energy, it starts to change the shape of that energy, right? So all the energy is consistent. It's all oneness. Which is why some individuals that perceive reality in the same exact city state have a completely different life than other ones do, because their energy is creating that different output. Right? In this law, we're going to get into number two, which is talking about the law of correspondence. I love this law. I love all the laws number one, but I love this law only for the simple fact that it helps you understand the interrelationship between all things, what is in a relationship. Interrelationship is how everything connects together, how there is no separation. Once you understand correspondence, you see that there is no separation, that literally everything is a reflection of other things. What is most interesting about this is that when you understand the law of correspondence and you really start to surrender into being able to recognize all of these different signs where you actually show up in the perspective of life, how that has interrelationship of everything else around you, how all the individuals, from names to numbers to colors to whatnot, all have a very specific meaning. That meaning is all tied back into this aspect of oneness. What will start to happen is something really interesting is that you'll start to see this grid and this matrix start to work together. If you look at an example of correspondence within the human body, we have this stuff inside of us called genetic code, right? We have a DNA sequencing. We have all of this that's gridded out. We have different systems inside of our body. All of those different systems make up the whole you. They make up the whole shot. Whatever I am is all these systems working together in one fluid motion. If I work to remove one system and say, hey, that's just not part of me and create separation, what happens? I will die. Think about it. If I tried to pull my excretory system outta my body, I would die. If I tried to pull my nervous system outta my body and say, hey, that just is over there, I'm gonna keep that to the side. I would die, right? And so a really interesting reflection is when we can actually understand ourselves, how we're created from all the science that we've given ourselves to get the fact that we're like a whole human being. When you walk through life, you're not thinking, huh, Am I actually moving my nervous system properly? Is my digestive system doing X, Y or Z when it's out of balance, you know, really quickly and you have to start doing things in order to get that dis. Ease back in balance, right? Which is the same thing that happens outside of us. When something is disconnected or separate, or we create space from it, something starts to die. And in that death, or in that illusion of death, what ends up happening is that there's pain. That pain is trauma, that trauma is wisdom. That wisdom allows us to go back and work to the process of resolving that trauma. And the only way that we resolve that trauma is by loving it. There's never going to be a time to where you hate the trauma and it goes away. There's never going to be a time where you separate more from the trauma without resolving it. And it goes away because it will continue to haunt you. And whether it haunts you, and this is like a lot of what the Buddhists talk about, unless you really overcome this thing, then you're gonna come back and do it again, life after life after life. But. Or the reincarnation story, right? Like you come back and you resolve this until you actually get it and you learn how to do it. Well, the getting it is loving it. So when we get into this whole law of correspondence and we understand that everything in our life is interconnected and we can start seeing the grid of how that connection makes up whole forms, and those whole forms make up other whole forms. Then the purpose of that is, especially when you get back to the God source, all that created it all, is to pull everything back in, into this wholeness of singularity, to where there's a recognition of itself fully inside of itself. So when we become more loving and we have full recognition of ourselves inside of our whole selves as a human being, and that's the process of loving ourselves more into a full aspect of totality, what then happens is, is that the world outside of us starts to expand and change. And then people actually gravitate to you because they're looking for that wholeness as a reflection of yourself when they gravitate to you. We can even take the Christ, Buddha, whatever it might be, for instance. Their physical forms are not here right now. But their energetic forms have been so permanently concretized across the globe without any mass marketing. I mean, unless you take the church and whatnot, no paid media, right? No PR stunts. And literally, even in the chaos of working to break them, the wholeness of what they stood for has moved through the lens of that breakage. So that individuals, even if they don't necessarily agree with the religious structure that has work to contain them, and this is once again an aspect of correspondence, they expand beyond that to where the world will recognize that isness and wholeness from the knowing of self through the extension of time infinitely. And they have resolved the majority, if not all, of the issues that have taken place in their life. And so this is when we get back into that aspect of correspondence, of wholeness. And then what's really interesting, and if you've ever gone to see a psychic or any of those individuals that read astrology or numerology or whatever it might be, they take this whole lens of correspondence and apply it to the you. And most times when you go talk to somebody, they're pretty spot on. They're like, well, yeah, that is happening, or this is happening, or whatever it might be. And even I've started to dabble around in these, like tarot cards. But really look at it through more of the science or the law of correspondence, and I'm able to actually see. I get a visual on a card. I can know exactly what that means now. It's, for me, it's my perspective, it's how I read it. But I also know what it means for somebody that I might be reading that card for now. I'm not just like some person out there that's doing this stuff But I'm starting to use these tools that allow me to actually understand recognition of myself in order to apply that to the larger grid and ecosystem, which is exactly what a lot of those tarot card readers and individuals do. So now that we're kind of going into the law of correspondence, I'll talk about, like, some of the details of it, what it really means, and how we can apply it to our life. So the details of it, if you've probably heard this, is that as you do one thing, you do all things as above. So below. Everything has a interrelationship and is connected to something else beyond it. So let's take the embryo inside of a human body. What ends up happening is that you have a masculine and feminine point coming together. There's sperm and there's an egg that enters. And what does it do? It creates a whole cell. It's two parts that come together to make the whole. And then you have a point of singularity. In that point of singularity, then what starts to happen is it starts to divide itself, and it divides itself in even numbers. As it goes through the process of dividing itself in even numbers, what ends up happening is that it starts to construct itself off of the energy that lives inside of the mother itself. And that mother is this intuitive knowledge and energy that comes in and starts to actually grid that baby into the whole baby that it is. The look, the hair, the organs, everything about it, right? And then you end up getting this life that comes out as an aspect of correspondence. The same thing happens within relationships with people. So I'm taking some integrity that I have to do something with somebody, which is this male energy. And now I'm starting to infuse it into the intention of another. And that intention of the other is going to receive that energy and we're going to birth some idea into life. Now what happens most times that you'll see is a lot of individuals bring either no integrity of the situation, and they bring a lot of intention. And where projects don't get off the ground, but you have this, like, really beautiful, like, knowing together, like you'll have. Now, I used to do this for years where I would sit down and I would have these amazing conversations with people. We'd be like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, let's do it. And nobody does anything to ground it. We just, like, we come up with the greatest ideas in the world. Then what you'll see is somebody else out there created that idea. And you're like, damn, that was my idea. Because we lack the Integrity to be able to actually execute. And what ends up happening is that's like, you know, two. Like, if we go back to the. To the creation of human. That'd be like two sperms coming together and be like, yeah, let's get it. Get together and figure this thing out. And then they do that and nothing happens. But when the egg and the sperm come together, you actually have a thing, right? So we have to do within the correspondence of that example is say, okay, how can one receive? How can one give? How can we bring it together? And how can we draft? Integrity. The giving and receiving is the intention and the integrity. It's the intuition and the integration when we bring those things together. This is an aspect of how correspondence works in order to delve toward creation. Other areas around correspondence is you can take, like, cell structure. So you take the cell structure or molecular structure of anything and you say, okay, I've got a proton, a neutron, an electron. I've got all these things that are, like, around each other, and I've got this energetic field. Inside of that, you have these subatopic particles that work the exact same way as that proton, neutron, electron, right? And then outside of that, you have this thing of people. So, like, we end up doing kind of a similar thing. You end up having, like, this, you know, this proton that sits in the middle and these electrons that run around everybody. Well, the proton is the observer. The electrons are that which are being observed. The electrons create the field, right? In order to actually hold that container of the atom together, right? So we would be nothing without community. Right? We have to have community in order to exist. It's like a reality. And so you have to have electrons in order for the actual atom to exist. You have to have the moon in order for the Earth to exist. Otherwise, without the Moon, we would be gyrating off in a different thing. That actual energetic field of that gravity keeps us around other ones. But you have to have the solar system and the sun and everything else to do the same thing. So it's like the Earth is observing the moon. The sun is observing the Earth, right? The Earth is back observing the sun, but we're moving around it. So we're like the Moon to the sun, right? That sun is now like an actual moon to something else than galaxies that's wrapping around, right? And so this whole thing keeps doing its thing over and over again. And the sun is like the proton, right? And so as you kind of like, see one thing, you see another, you see another, you see another, and it Was interesting. I get a lot of these YouTube videos about this flat Earth theory. If the flat Earth theory is really real, candidly, then that would mean that there would have to be an aspect of correspondence that lives somewhere else. It would have to mean that the sun is some kind of weird firmament structure. It would mean that the Moon is some kind of firmament structure. It would mean that this firmament structure or this structure of this flat Earth would have to exist somewhere inside of our subatomic particles. It would have to live somewhere in every other particle. Okay. Of our lives. And it doesn't exist anywhere else. So I call a little bit of BS on that, only for the simple fact that it just isn't anywhere else outside of like snow globes, which when you look at snow globes, it's a man made structure that is definitely built off of divinity. But that would mean that we have this whole like snow globe thing that is creating the same recognition or definition of this firmament structure of the Earth, which none of us will ever know. And none of it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. But if we take the whole aspect of correspondence of how this whole ecosystem is built, it would then mean that there would have to be a reflection of that. That is a entire container for the aspect of the individual human itself, and that's inside of the human itself. Which means that something in our cellular structure, in our bodies, our minds, or something along those lines would also have to be like a half dome thing that existed in order to hold some aspect of creation within itself. And that was a little bit confusing, I'm sure, because they just went off on a weird tangent. But what I'm saying is, is that there's always, always a reflection of the thing that we are doing at the most micro level of ourself that is infinitely deep, that is also at the largest aspect of self or perspective or life, that is infinitely wide. All right? And if you were to go and take the atom and say this is the smallest particle that ever existed, there's something deeper than that. And you can go deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper, and that ends up continually expanding. And when they've actually measured the subatomic particles, like the Planck scale or anything along those lines, it has the same amount of energy that as all the energy that created the universe. I think it's like 10 to the 94th grams of the centimeter cubed or something like that. I ended up looking it up the other day. And it's the same thing that's at the very large scale. So what that means is that all of that energy is the same energy everywhere. It's just a matter of how it's compacted and how it's created. Which is why when you do the whole, you know, had this one episode called the Oppenheimer effect, But when you take and you start throwing, you know, the energy at unstable, what you call it, you know, atoms or unstable molecular structures, you can create an atom bomb, which is even crazier, right? Because this is a very, very small particle that can create huge ripple effects based on the amount of energy that's contained at that subatomic particle. And this is the same thing that's inside of us. And so when we are unstable and we start bringing in, like, alternative energy, right, that's coming at us and we don't know ourselves, and we can't create that stability within ourselves, what happens? Once again, like the aspect of correspondence, we have these massive explosions. And those explosions are no different than the atom bomb going off or some nuclear bomb going off, only for the simple fact that when we think alternative thoughts that are not in harmony and coherent with our higher self, we create infinite ripple effects and trauma within humanity. We do it from the perspective of self. And the only life that gets significantly worse is ours through the perspective of others. Because what's even crazier is those others experience you from a singularity of self and you are living in a state of, let's say, misery. People will start to move away from that. They just don't have anything to do with it. And they'll do it for a period of time because part of it is their journey. But on the other side of it, they'll get away from it because it doesn't serve them. And when they're away from you, they're great. And I'll use an example. Last year I was an asshole. And when I was an asshole, Sophia was in my life. And I was not being like a very loving individual. And the minute that she got away from me, it took her a little bit of time to reset herself. But the minute she got away from me, she was living her best life, doing the most amazing things. And I had to reset myself even to participate in the life she was creating for herself. And even then, I didn't do a great job up front, But I figured it out and now we're in this really beautiful space. But I use all of that to help us understand. And I can go. This one could be, like, hours long. As far as correspondence of how you can see the connection points, how you can look at all of the little variable details in your life. I'm gonna use one last story here before we hop off here, because once again, this one's getting long. I was watching this movie last night called Transcendence. And in that movie, it's a movie with Johnny Depp. It was, I think, around 2014 or so that it was made. And in that movie he was talking, he became like this AI generated thing that ended up dying. And they took his consciousness and put it inside of this machine. And then the machine started getting smarter and smarter and smarter to the point where it was able to actually recreate its life by using these nanoparticles and brought itself back into the world, right in the whole cell. So it basically took his soul and his energy, created these nanoparticles, and brought him back into life. And then he was able to infuse this intelligence into other individuals who were not whole. Okay, Whether they were blind or hurt or whatever it might be. Like, one guy was dying and then went in and started to work on him. And then the guy became totally whole, but he had to put his consciousness and connect into it. What was interesting about the movie is that it was like a fight against the machine, supposedly, right? And the fight against the machine is like we can't fully be human and experience all of the hell and trauma that we need to experience, which is true if we take this path, which started to create this, like, almost perfect society. You know, the trees were growing better, the water was clear, the everything was just getting better and better and better. People were walking. They were no longer being blind. They were just doing amazing things because they were not tapped into this higher consciousness, which was the Johnny Depp consciousness, right? And as they tapped into the Johnny Depp consciousness or this AI consciousness that was moving in a. In a space of what it would considered purity. And of course, it was only as good as that which programmed it, which was the guy's wife who put a lot of its intention into it. It did the best that it could given the limitations of the perspective of what it was created from. So now if we take that and look at it through the lens of correspondence, I'll notate a couple things. One, it as the individuals that were getting healed had to be connected to a higher source in order for them to receive the gifts that the higher source could offer it. Same thing with us. If I were to say, hey, I'm going to be connected back to the higher source, God source, All I'm going to have to tune into it and I'm going to have to receive very specific messages from it. And if I receive messages from it, then what does it mean? Then I'm going to have to listen to it and I'm going to have to do very specific things from the instructions that I'm given in order to actually walk through this life in the abundance of myself. Those people did the same thing. It just had some like limiting aspects of the actual AI that was course correcting itself from learning to know itself, which is the same thing that we're doing. So within that movie, was it wrong for the AI to actually go in and then say, hey, you guys have to be part of this ecosystem in order for you to experience the full abundance that the all or what now was the AI Johnny Depp thing was offering it? Nothing wrong with it because as it was going through the cycles of learning itself within fast micro moments, it was starting to course correct and then say, okay, I get this, I get this, I get this. But it also had to start learning how to protect itself from itself, which is even crazier, which is also the same thing correspondently that God Source all did is to protect itself from itself by actually having these crazy experiences. And you can go through like early things in the Bible to where it was learning from it. And then what did it do? It said, okay, I have to surrender into me and I have to take a part of me and put it into the world so it will love me wholly, which is that Christ consciousness. So once it put Christ consciousness into the world for it to love itself back, that's where the healing started to happen. And instead of it doing what it was doing, it ended up doing something new. And that was an aspect of evolution. So now one of the things that we have to learn how to recognize is that there is no right or wrong in any of this. There is no separation. We are going to have to get connected to something higher that oftentimes is going to feel like it isn't right. And the world is going to tell you that it isn't right. And when the world tells you it isn't right, they're telling you something from a perspective of their own fear. And just like in that movie, the world was saying, hey, this AI thing isn't right because it was a perspective of their fear. It had nothing to do with the wholeness that was in the process of creating itself. Now I'm not defending AI and saying like hey, this thing's going to do what it does. But the more that it learns itself, it's no different than the consciousness that created it. And we are the consciousness that is creating the actual experience of the all that created us. So let me repeat that again. We are the consciousness that is creating the perspective of the All. So we're perceiving God and God created us, or the all created us. And as we experience it, the more that we actually attune with it in order to understand that there is no separation, there is no good or bad. And once we start to look at it through the aspect of correspondence that I can then love, all of that which has been a fearful aspect of me will no longer judge it. And we will start to merge with all of the intention that it had when it created us. And we will surrender our expectations and become aligned with the agreement of all, which is the purpose is to love, to have compassion, and to merge and become one. Once that happens, this is when we have this really massive shift. This is the law of correspondence at a very kind of like macro thing. But you start to notice it in everything in your life. And when this happens, you start to see miracles in literally everything. You see the miracles in like your life. The stuff on your desk, the outside nature, what you breathe, the sneezes that you make when you take a shit. And you're like, man, that was great. I actually got something out of my body that was a purging. You take a piss, you have some like wild ass experience out there in the world that you would have thought was horrible. You get pulled over by the cop and you're like, you know, I always used to be afraid. Now I actually talk to them and I'm like, thank you for what you do, whatever it might be. And they're like, this is the weirdest conversation. You know, you're right. I was looking at my phone while driving down the street, you know, and last time that happened, I had an amazing conversation with the police officer and he started following me on Instagram and we had like this really cool back and forth. The thing is, is that we are here to take every experience as an opportunity to love. And that is the law of correspondence. When it expands from the thoughts that we have and when we have a shitty thought, you'll see it correspond in your life in a very specific way. When you have a loving thought, you will the other way. So this is when we talk about be gentle with your thoughts, because the correspondence of that ripple effect that happens is like immediate. And the tighter you get with understanding the law of correspondence. And this is a disclaimer. The faster the feedback loop comes to you to where you actually see those outcomes in your life, which could be really, really beautiful and could be really hellacious. So I leave you with that. I thank you guys for listening. Damn, this one went to 24 minutes. I really could have gone, like, hours on this topic. The next topic we're going to talk about is everything is energy. Everything is vibration. That's the third law. I'm excited to go super deep into it with you guys. Thank you again for listening, and I love you.
