The Sixth Law: Navigating the Flow of Karma
31 Oct 2023 · 25 min
Sean Clayton explores the Sixth Hermetic Law of cause and effect, sharing how he moved from trauma to healing by becoming the source of his circumstances rather than a victim of them. He argues that resolving past wounds creates space to receive blessings, and that integrity makes your future predictable.

Welcome to the Science of Abundance Daily Alchemy podcast. I'm your host, Sean Clayton, and my story's pretty interesting. Went through a ton of trauma, former incarceration, suicide attempts, sexual abuse in my life. And one of the things that's happened in my life is I've actually used hermetic principles, alchemy, all these really cool tools that we hear and we talk about the Illuminati, whatever you want to call it, and develop practices in order to change and affect my lives differently. So within this podcast, I will be giving tidbits and bites for individuals to be able to bite into on a daily basis. That will allow you to take baby steps to change your life. But at some point you'll find the door that starts to change the effect of how you show up on a daily basis. Enjoy this, give feedback, come to my Instagram comment, whatever it might be, always open because we wouldn't be here without each other. Please enjoy and thank you and I love you. So welcome back to Science of Abundance. And I want to apologize because I took a little bit of a sabbatical for I think it was about 12 days or so and did not get back to the cadence of the podcast and needed it. I wouldn't even say kind of. I know that I needed it only because I've been definitely pushing pretty hard on a lot of not only the work thing that I do on a daily basis, but also just making sure that I'm getting out whatever is pouring into me and in the process of thinking about self care and this episode is actually going to be on being the cause. So that process of self care is being able to create a vessel to hold this information as it comes into it. When you find yourself in those spaces where the information that comes in is coming in so fast and you haven't really fortified those walls to be able to hold the information that comes in, then you're like now running around picking up all these pieces that are out there and it takes a lot of effort to do that. So ended up just taking a little bit of time, did some travel, went over to Asia and experienced really an amazing outpouring of effect in Japan and saw just a totally different culture, visited a Buddhist temple out there, spent some time enchanting around Law of Rhythm and saw a lot of really beautiful things come into life after that and also experience this lunar eclipse that took place the other day. So now that I've got a little bit of recharge going in, one thing that I will commit from an Integrity standpoint is let you guys know when I do sign off for a period of time. And also, as we go further into this, I'll start doing these about three days a week instead of trying to commit to daily, because then I'll get a bunch out and then hit a wall, whatever it might be. And creating that integrity around consistency will start to come out a little bit more. It was fun getting in on this exploration. You know, we're probably about 10 episodes shy of hitting season three, which is awesome to be able to start collapsing the stuff. We'll bring on some guests in the next season and do some fun stuff there. So in this episode, we're going to talk about karma. We're going to talk about the law of cause and effect. This is law number six. And the interesting thing about this law is that we have been taught that karma, or karmic cycles and all the karmic stuff that happens in people's lives is really around this negative thing. And it's a shame that humanity looks at karma as such a reactive thing, that all the stuff that you've bared in your life is going to have this really shitty effect. And that is a go back to the first law, an aspect of the mind. If we believe and think that every karmic action is going to be something negative, then what are you doing? You're constantly looking for the negativity. You're constantly reaping what you sow. And even the word reap sounds really rough, right when we think about it. And so it's this whole aspect of negativity around karma. And really, karma is probably one of. I mean, they're all our greatest gifts, every one of these laws. But it's really a beautiful gift for us. And this law really transcends space, time. It transcends from your body to your spiritual plane. There was a great cause and a great effect that happened. The universe is the effect of the great cause. So when you think about God soars, all creating the universe. And in that aspect of that great cause that took place, which we can call it the Big Bang, we can call it even the questioning of who am I in that moment to be able to then create all of the infinite experiences, all of the polarity and duality in life, all of the process of rhythm, every one of the laws that spit out of that moment of the mind, thinking about things through correspondence and how all of these aspects iterate off of each other. This is where, like, if you understand correspondence, you can get, like, psychic abilities because you can see how things start to interrelate, and you just watch the patterns and there it is. And all we've done in life is we've gotten stuck in very specific old patterns. We've got stuck in the effect of the cause and not necessarily sitting at the seat of cause. And if you subscribe to these seven laws as you're in this, then you would understand that in the process of correspondence that you also have the same ability to create cause as God's words all did. And then there's a process that you have to go through to get into all of that aspect of cause to say, okay, well, if I understand that I am. And I'm an entity, and I'm a being, and I'm connected to all things, the universe, God, Source, all, and there is no difference between me and anybody else because I've basically gone through the process of unifying the polarity. And I see my brother as myself and my sister as myself. I see everything in between me and this microphone or me and my computer is all interconnected and we're all one fluid being and there's consciousness and everything. Then you get into this aspect of, well, if there is cause and effect, and I can sit at the great seat of cause, then the universe becomes my effect. And therefore what happens, I am in influence over it all the time. So a couple things we have to be careful of when we're sitting and understanding this law is one, our ego will really get in the way of it. When we start trapping into our ego, we're like, oh, I need to control something. The minute we even process anything around control, we lost it. Because we control absolutely nothing. We influence everything. We control zero. Like, zero. And because we don't control anything and we influence everything, it allows us to say, okay, the minute that I put an intention out there, I have to let it go. There's nothing. And we experience this in our life every single day. There's nothing that God, Source all set from an intention perspective that God Source all ever looks to control, ever. It lets it do its will. So the minute that it put Sean Clayton in the world, it let it do its will. It didn't jump in between me or anything else. I might have created some really interesting divine intervention in order to keep me alive in my purpose. But that was a me thing, pulling in my higher self to experience certain miracles. But there's never been a time that God, Source all stepped in and eliminated something from happening in my life. Whether it was the sexual abuse, whether it was me Going to prison, any of that stuff. I had to endure it because it was my choice for me to recognize where I'm at right now. So now you say, okay, if that's the case, and God soars all set all of this stuff into motion, and I am living in the universe of the effect of that, I also have the ability to sit at the seat of cause and understand that time is an illusion. And if I understand that time is an illusion, then I can always go back to that original seat of cause, sit in tandem with God, source, all as being it, and then start to understand all of the reasons that everything was created out of love. And once I do that, what will happen is the effects of my life on this illusion of a timeline that we call this third dimension that we're in, it will start to change, and it will start to change, and it will start to become significantly more malleable to the ability for us to move into effect. So the difference between this and the laws that we've talked about before that sit on the physical plane. So the laws on the physical plane, just to remind us a little bit, are there's a law of rhythm that requires us to understand how to, like, balance between the upswing and the downswing of life. There is this polarity aspect of the actuality that when we sit at the middle and we see all things as every possibility and we choose inside of that law to see it all as love, even the dark aspects have light on them, right? Otherwise they wouldn't be able to form a shadow. Those have a balancing aspect to them. The law of karma really does not have a balancing aspect of it. So it is a choice to always sit at the seat of cause and watch the effects play out of our life and constantly let go, which is that process of letting go that we always hear about. Or it's sitting at the seat of effect and then being a victim, which is still a creator, but you're a victim creator at the seat of effect because you say, okay, well, I've made X, Y, Z a mistake. And now I have to receive that. What I'm going to call BS on inside of this law that a lot of people have said is accurate is the fact that we can't go change the past, that once something has happened, we can't go and do anything about it because it's gone now. What we can do about it is we can say, okay, I'm now sitting where I'm at right now. I have a different state of awareness. I'm Going to choose to be a cause creator of everything that has taken place in my life up to this point. The memories that I have have served me in such a beautiful way because they've allowed me to feel the suffering and the pain of what has happened before. And if I feel the suffering and the pain of what has happened before, can I, not, from this moment right now, turn all of that suffering and pain into the opposite of it? That's me changing the past. Because the only thing that exists in my past are the memories and the feelings associated with it. The action is gone. The physical manifestation of it is actually gone. It is since passed. That's the beautiful thing about time. It's gone. And where I'm at right now is the most important moment of my life. But the reality of it is that if I have a bunch of. We're going to use the analogy of like a cup, and you have two sides of the cup, and I pour water into it. And let's say the present moment is the base of the cup, and I can pour water onto that present moment all day long. And the base of that cup will constantly hold some of that water. But then what will happen is, if you don't have sides on that cup, which is your past and your future, you can't hold anything. And let's say, for instance, you've resolved, I don't know, 40% of the trauma in your past. And this is how I see karma. You can choose to agree or disagree. 40% of your past. What will happen is, let's say you've only resolved 40, 40% of it. You'll have holes on 60% of one side of your cup. So when I pour water into it, I might fill it up. But what do I have to do? I actually have to pour water into it super fast to fill that cup up. Because what's going to happen is the water is just going to keep flooding out of it. In order for me to be a container of all of my blessings, I have to go through the process of filling up all of the holes that sit on the side of the cup that I call my past so that the present moment can actually catch it. The vessel is solid enough for me to be able to actually hold and contain that water. And now what do we say about the future? Well, the future doesn't exist yet. But it does, because in the quantum, everything is this moment. And because if I sit at the seat of cause, what ends up happening is now I'm actually starting to predict out my future. So if I'm starting to predict out my future, I'm not predicting it. Like, I'm going to guess at it, and maybe these things are going to happen. I am so worthy, and this is where the worthiness comes in. This is where the abundance comes in. I am so worthy that everything that I now know that I'm creating, because it's a difference between believing and knowing, right? Everything that I am knowing that I'm creating fills up my future. So when I'm in integrity of my life, my future becomes very predictable because I know exactly what I'm doing. You can have all the attention in the world, but if you have no integrity sitting around this, then what happens is now your future has a bunch of holes in it. So if you're not doing anything in integrity, you can have the most beautiful present moments, but you're not filling this vessel up. You're not filling this bucket up of yourself. So once again, all of the water that we can look at as blessings that are pouring into this cup are flowing out the other side of the cup. So you might have solved all of the actual trauma of your past, but now you're all of a sudden out of integrity of your future. And this is what kind of happens in the spiritual game that I was in. I was very much so in it last year. I was like, hey, forget about the past, forget about the future. I'm just going to be so in the present moment. And what was happening is that I was somewhat worthy enough to receive a lot of stuff, and it just poured all into the top, and. And then shit was everywhere. Like, my life was a mess. I was living all over the place. I had stuff in people's houses and storage units, like, you know, backpack full of just, like, nonsensical books, and I hadn't read one of them. I did not have a practice to where even me being able to do this podcast would have even been, like, possible. And in going through that journey, I was, you know, I could quote some really awesome spiritual stuff. I could talk with the best of them. I could do a lot of, like, people were like, wow, this guy really knows his shit. But I was such out of integrity. I was out of integrity with myself, with my son, in my relationship, Sophia. I was just out of integrity everywhere. And I was creating just these disasters everywhere that I went. And what I had to start recognizing is that I wasn't filling up the cup. And for every one of us in life, we are constantly being showered all the time with the love of God, which is the blessing of our lives. And very few of us resolve our traumatic issues. Very few of us stand in integrity to build our future selves. And because we don't solve our trauma right. And a lot of people say, oh, just forget about the past, because you can't do anything. But no, you can do everything about your past. You can take your wholeness right now. You can go back to your past, and you can start laying a completely different framework on it so that it becomes so solid that you stop playing whack a mole with all the trauma of your past and your past lives and generational trauma and all of the stuff that's out there. And it's a. There's a really simple process to going and resolving the past so that you can actually understand that this cause and effect thing allows you to sit in the present moment, but it's sitting in the present moment while constantly going through the process of iterating the past to a space of wholeness and in your future. Because you're moving in integrity of the now, and you're actually doing the proper steps in order to execute off of the blessings that are coming into your life. You're now building a wall to be able to contain those things, or a container to be able to contain it. And then everything that pours into that starts to just fill up to the top of the cup. And then we become the thing and the cause that starts to actually shower on other individuals in our lives because we show other individuals the process of doing that. And it only takes one one for another to see that one and then become like the other. And this is the beautiful thing about the way that our brains are wired. We have these mirror neurons that will look at another person and say, okay, I want to be like them. That's why we have all these cool celebrities. That's why people play football similar to other individuals. That's why, you know, even I'm on here doing this, because I've seen a lot of really amazing individuals, and I'm taking different perspectives of that as well as what's, you know, just kind of coming into me and making it my own. And then being able to go through the process of creating something that is in integrity of the gifts that I am being given. And if I wasn't doing that, I'd be completely out of integrity, and therefore it would just be all over the place. And it'd be like. Be like a cool party trick, but it wouldn't actually have any volume and it wouldn't have any cadence to it, and it would have very little meaning. It would have meaning, but it wouldn't have the kind of, like, cascading effect that builds tidal waves. It would only make little splashes. And even though splashes could be meaningful enough, like, they have the butterfly effect, but there is so much more that we can do in order to be able to create that container. So. And on some of my videos, and I'm doing this series right now where we talk about the cause container and that cause container, once you understand how to create this, like, infinite vessel, and you start to go through the process of filling up all the little holes in your life that have stuck you in trauma, that disallowed you to become your whole self from a future integrity perspective, that's when you start to fill up your bucket with infinite abundance. And this is why I really love this law. Because once you start to sit at the seat of cause all the time, and it's not just like, I need to be here now, which is part of it, but it's being able to take your now and look backward and look forward and say, all of that is my blessing. And your forward is moving in integrity, and your backward is saying, okay, you know what? I'm going to actually deal with that trauma and do stuff with it. And once you start solving one door of trauma and you really resolve it and you really love it and take your darkest thing, I mean, this is something that I would do if I were you, because I've done it. I took my darkest moment and I went back and figured out how I needed to love it. I took the darkest things that were happening in humanity that we have put, you know, our own judgment on. And I said, how can I love that situation differently? I took slavery as a black man and I said, okay, how can I make this a blessing for myself? I took all of the generational trauma, the sexual abuse in my life, the prison experience, and I said, how can I make this a gift for myself? And the minute I started doing that, and I did it with one thing and I did it with another, and I did it with another, then it was like, okay, well, I can do this with anything, anything that happens in life. And I went all the way back. And this is what I talk about before, and I know that I kind of keep reminding ourselves of it. I went all the way back to Adam and Eve. I went even further back to, well, heck, it all started when the universe, God, source, all original cause, basically stated, who am I? What am I? What is this. And in the questioning of itself, it created all of the beauty in life and all the trauma in life. And that's when the duality happened. And then it had to have some measurement to basically have a currency in order to measure it off of. So it gave itself time and that's how it measured itself. Of being able to say, am I getting further away from this or closer away from it? And then through this aspect of time and the reflection of man that I've created in my image, then I can actually go through the process of understanding how to actually bring myself back to myself into the I am statement and also into the we are statements. And that's when this whole process of this cause container starts to create a different reality that we have the ability to fully surrender into. The surrender is the receivership. The surrender is being able to create a vessel to receive. So if I can create a vessel to receive, then what happens is that I can hold everything that's coming into it. And when we. And I'm going to use a little bit of the next episode where we talk about gender. When we as our gender manifestations in physical form, have the ability to walk in our purpose, what will happen is, is we will be able to create these containers to where the intuitive nature of what certain beings on this earth can do will be able to pour into that vessel in a meaningful way. And it doesn't mean you have to be in a relationship with one. It doesn't mean whether you're hetero or homosexual doesn't really matter. Some men are going to be able to do this and some women are going to be able to do certain things. But there are vessels here and there are integrators here. And when you integrate the walls for the vessel to be able to hold that space, what pours into that is a unification of light that pours out on humanity. And it does it in the most beautiful, sensational way. And I've experienced it here and there in my life. And it's only because I've started to like build my cup from being literally probably a zero ounce cup to now maybe it's a three ounce cup. And I'm looking to get a big gulp going here from 7 11, right? Because I know that I can hold a lot more. And when that happens, you start walking as a miracle that is visible in this illusion that people have forgotten is a miracle. And that's when the world starts to shift for yourself because then it could only shift through your eyes first. And then it shifts for Everybody else. Because now those individuals start to then mirror the dimension that you're in. So the takeaways from this are, number one, yeah, the present moment is really important. But what's just as important is making sure that you can resolve what's happened in your past. Don't forget about it. You got to deal with it. You got to feel the feelings. When you feel the feelings, it gives you the recipe of how to go and solve to fill those holes up, because you have to fill those holes up with a reciprocal feeling. And that's when the effect starts to change. Because the effect is not holes. The effect is actually the wholeness, right? And then when you start walking in integrity, your future becomes very, very predictable, very knowing, very from the space of the now that you're in. And so you don't have to sit there and think, well, damn it, I fucked up. And I haven't received my karma from yesterday because I said the wrong thing. And the only thing that's wrong is what society says is wrong. So if I sit there and I tell you that I've karmically made a mistake in life and I now put my mind state on it, and because society has said, sean, you know, it was wrong that you did these three things. And I'm like, well, you know what? It is wrong. And now I'm starting to reap what I sow. Because what happened is that I now sowed a thought that society told me was wrong. And I have not gone through the process of forgiving myself and having enough compassion in order to then go through the process of rectifying my past so that I can actually make that whole and then make my future whole and then start walking in integrity. And the walk of integrity doesn't mean that it is like this moral integrity. There is moral integrity to it, but the moral integrity comes from your heart. It comes from your stillness. It comes from your truth. And it's that truth that is tied to all source God. And that is when the shift starts to happen. So I'd encourage you guys not to beat yourself up too much about the past, because the reality of it is, is there's everything you can do about it or nothing you can do about it. The nothing you can do is you can't go back and change the physical things that happen, but you can go back and change the energetic things that happen. You can go back and place love on all of the trauma. You can go back and you can fill your vessel up so that you can actually hold the blessings that are coming into your life. And then all you have to do is go through the process of integrating it and walking in truth on a daily basis and loving yourself first so that the output of your life is that truth. I'm excited to be back. I'm excited for these next several episodes that are coming out because there's going to be some really big things that I've been working to get through this Seven Laws that are going to just be huge, especially about where we are in humanity right now. So keep tuning in. Share this with somebody you love. If you feel like it'll resonate for those that have ears, let them hear. Right? That's what they say. And I thank you guys for tuning in, and I love you.
