In this live walkthrough Shally Steckerl demonstrates the newly released multi‑paste feature of the free Magical Chrome extension. He starts from a blank Google Sheet, shows how to map custom variables (first name, last name, followers, following, headline, location, handle, profile URL, website, join date, etc.) for Twitter profiles, and then uses Magical’s slash‑command syntax (e.g., //Graham/followers) to pull data from any open browser tabs into the sheet. He repeats the process for LinkedIn groups, creating variable mappings for group name, member count, description, admin name, admin title, and group URL, and fills rows with a single // command. Shally explains how the parsed data can be exported to tools like Swordfish or an ATS. He also introduces the Chrome app Link Clump, showing how to define actions (open as tabs, copy to clipboard, bookmark) to bulk‑open lists of URLs (e.g., Go developer groups) so they can be parsed by Magical. Throughout, he shares practical tips (need for tabs to be open, managing many tabs, handling missing fields) and encourages viewers to suggest future automations.
