Some quick reminders for those who need it. Number 1, you're nobody's doormat. Don't let somebody wipe their insecurities on you. Don't let them step on your voice, especially in an argument. Don't be afraid to say, if you're looking for a doormat, it's outside. Don't be shy to say your voice isn't the only one in this conversation. Don't let them feel bigger by making you feel smaller. Number 2, if you're always feeling like you have to beg the other person to speak to you with respect, you're not where you need to be. Common decency shouldn't come with conditions. And number 3, if what What you're saying is the truth, walk in it. Don't tiptoe. Avoiding the truth isn't kind because truth learned later always hurts more than truth learned now. So try that and follow me.
