Success doesn't reduce pressure, it just changes what you're pressured about. The speaker argues your capacity to handle stress grows with experience, like upgrading from a small sword to a larger one as you face bigger dragons.
Have you ever seen success create more pressure instead of less? I think the perception of pressure stays the same. I think you become more able to handle it. Like the things that stress you out when you were a 5-year-old probably don't stress you out anymore, but they were probably very stressful as a 5-year-old because you had these skills and coping mechanisms of a 5-year-old. But that's why the goal, I think, for me has always been like, become someone capable of handling those stressors the same way I can handle the current ones I have. So it's like, oh my God, those dragons are so big. It's like, well, someday I'll have a sword that's big enough and a shield that's strong enough that I can battle them.
