In this segment, speaker Shanli Liu, CPA, CTP explains a strategic hiring mindset for business owners who want to stop working while maintaining or growing profit. She introduces the idea of finding a "perfect Sam"—an employee who can perform all the owner’s current tasks at the same level of competence. If the owner’s profit minus Sam’s compensation equals the current profit, the owner could cease working without a loss in income. Over time, this ideal hire could even expand the business’s profit pie, allowing the owner to enjoy the same or greater earnings while not being actively involved. The core premise is that a single, perfectly capable hire could replace the owner’s full workload and sustain business growth.
