Every single exceptional marketer that I know, every single exceptional promoter that I know, the first thing they learned how to master was sales. And a lot of them started hand-to-hand, door-to-door, cold call. Almost all the greatest marketers that I know, I can't actually— I can't think of one that didn't start that way. I did many, many, many years of sales in my 20s, early and late 20s. And that's what gave me this huge foundation that then I was able to take to do other things. It's a little bit like Mr. Miyagi. I didn't realize how incredibly valuable that skill set was until I tried to transfer domains. And I realized, like, people are like, dude, you're such a good marketer. I was like, I've never taken any marketing anything. I was like, I just sold all the time. Like, if you can sell, then it's kind of like the skeleton key to everything. Because if you want to recruit people, it's sales. Sell a team on a vision, it's sales. Make an advertising campaign, it's sales. I think the reason that my YouTube videos did really well right off the bat is like, I know how to sell. It just transfers to everything.
