In this short monologue, the speaker (Alex) shares a three‑step, tongue‑in‑cheek method for handling criticism and online hate. The first step, ignore, treats hateful comments as free advertising that costs the least effort. The second step, agree, involves briefly acknowledging the insult (“yeah, I suck”) to defuse it and silence further attacks. The third step, one‑up, turns the insult into a self‑deprecating joke that out‑does the original jab, leaving the critic with nothing to say. Throughout, the speaker uses humor and a confident tone to illustrate why each tactic works and encourages viewers to adopt the approach.

If you do anything worth doing, people will attack you because you actually stood for something at some point in your life. And that's a good thing. But there's a way to deal with it. And I do it in 3 steps: ignore, agree, one-up. Let me break it down. The first thing and the most obvious thing that you can do for most of these people is ignore. Ignoring it costs me the least amount of time, the least amount of effort, and, and this is a very, very important one, they're choosing to advertise me. They're choosing to take all their hard-earned attention, their eyes, the goodwill they have in their audience, and say, "Hey everyone, look at Alex." Man, like what a gift. And you don't even have to pay affiliate commissions for this stuff. And like, that's what's mind-blowing to me. I'm like, thank God, like Loser29, like I hope you keep doing this 'cause it just continues to fill my bank account. Second, if someone says, "Hey Alex, you're such an egotistical douchebag and you don't care about other people," I could agree because it was like, "Yeah man, I suck." What do they say now? "Yeah man," You do. Like, there's nothing to say, and it just silences it. Third level: if someone says, "Alex has big ears." "Hell yeah, I got big ears. Not only do I have big ears, they're actually even worse when it rains because then it catches all the water and then my back gets wet. It's a whole problem, believe me. My wife will tell you." Right now, all of a sudden, there's nothing they can say. So 1, 2, 3: ignore, agree, one-up. Enjoy.
