A law firm owner with $15 million in revenue and $4 million profit says talent is his biggest bottleneck. He's hiring about 8 attorneys a year but needs 20. Speaker B says he needs to multiply recruiting efforts 3 to 10 times to close the gap.
I own a law firm. Our revenue is right around $15 million, profit about $4 million. What's stopping us from scaling is talent acquisition.
What do you do right now to get people?
Pretty much everything that you can do, we do.
How many people do you hire a week?
It's not really on a week, maybe 2 attorneys a quarter.
Okay. So right now at your current rate, you do 8 a year. How could you meet your demand?
Probably bring on another 20 lawyers.
So you're like 2.5 years behind at your current rate. Yeah. It sounds like you just need to 3x the amount of volume that you're doing right now on the recruiting front.
Do you have kids? I do. 2 boys, 2 girls.
Sweet. So imagine all 4 are going to disappear in 30 days unless you get 20 attorneys that are at the caliber that you want. It's fair. Aggressive. I know. No, but what would you actually do?
Probably 10x it, like you said.
Spin up 3 times the recruiters, whatever your outbound is. Like, how do we do 10 or 20 times the reachouts? Once we have that in place, then we're kind of good to go.
