Most people repeat phrases like "feel great about myself" without understanding what they mean. When asked to define vague statements, they can't. The speaker argues we need clearer language and concrete goals instead of regurgitated advice.
Most people don't know what they're saying most of the time. The vast majority of people spend their time regurgitating and re-parroting things that they never thought about and saying words that they don't understand. Because if you ask someone, when they say, hey, I think you should do this, I would just say like, define that. Or like, hey, my goal is I want to insert thing, like I want to feel great about myself. And I'd be like, well, what does that mean? And then they can't define it. I'm like, well, no shit, you haven't hit it. You can't even define what you're going for.
