Three ways to handle pressure: use neutral responses like "I appreciate that" to acknowledge without committing, assert your preference with "I prefer to think differently," or set a firm boundary with "I'm not looking for." Each escalates from polite to direct.

What to say when someone is pressuring you. Number 1, you're going to use a neutral response. When someone is pressuring their opinion or their belief on you, you're going to say things like, "I appreciate that," or, "That's good to know," or, "Noted." It's kind of like somebody who's following you too close on the highway in their car. You kind of have to move over and just let them pass by. Number 2, you can fall back to a statement of preference. This sounds like, "I prefer to think differently," or, "I like what I got." You're letting them know that you are comfortable and confident in your own stance. And number 3, if you need to be a little bit firmer, begin your sentence with, "I'm not looking for. I'm not looking to change my mind. I'm not looking for a new opinion. You're letting them know that you're not looking to buy anything that they're selling. So try that and follow me. No pressure.
