This guided meditation, led by Shawn Ellis, is designed to help listeners harness visualization to embody their ideal self. The session begins with instructions to find a comfortable, undisturbed seat and to close the eyes. It guides the listener through paced, deep breathing and a progressive body relaxation, releasing tension from head to toe. Once relaxed, the meditation invites the listener to vividly picture their ideal self—how they look, feel, and act—engaging all senses. The practitioner repeats a simple affirmation (e.g., “Isn’t it wonderful?” or “Thank you”) to anchor the vision, repeatedly reinforcing the identity shift from wanting to being. The script emphasizes fully identifying with the imagined self, feeling joy, peace, and fulfillment, and maintaining the vision despite wandering thoughts. After several minutes of immersive visualization, the guide gently brings the listener back to ordinary awareness, encouraging them to retain the feeling, integrate it into daily decisions, and revisit the practice before sleep. The overarching claim is that consistent visualization and embodied affirmation can translate imagined ideals into real‑world reality.

Welcome to this guided meditation to unlock the power of visualization. This is designed to help you fully realize your vision and become your ideal self. As we begin, find a comfortable place to sit where you can relax, where you won't be disturbed. Settle into a position that feels relaxed and alert. And if you feel comfortable, close your eyes. Now take a deep breath in to the count of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and exhale to the count of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Now once again, take another deep breath in to the count of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and exhale to the count of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Now continue breathing at a pace that is comfortable to you, but a little slower and deeper than usual. Allow your breath to guide you into a state of calm and relaxation. As you breathe in and breathe out. As you continue to breathe deeply, let go of any tension in your body. Relax your forehead, your eyes, your cheeks, and your jaw. Let that relaxation flow down into your neck, to your shoulders, to your arms. Let it continue flowing down to your chest, to your abdomen, to your legs, finally all the way down to your toes. With each exhale, Imagine any tension dissolving from your muscles. And now, as you sit comfortably in this relaxed state, bring to mind the vision of your ideal self or your ideal circumstances. See it in your mind's eye. What do you look like? How do you feel? What are you doing? See yourself as the person you want to become and experience it as if it's happening right now. Breathe in deeply, and as you exhale, say silently to yourself a simple phrase that represents your fulfilled desire. For example, "Isn't it wonderful?" Or maybe simply, "Thank you." Keep repeating this phrase effortlessly in your mind like a gentle lullaby. Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it wonderful? Let that phrase be the sign that you are who you want to be. You have what you want to have. You are living the life you desire. Let those words and that feeling wash over you. Filling you with a sense of joy and accomplishment. Fully identify with this image. You're no longer the person who desires. You are the person who possesses. You are no longer the person who wants. You are the person who is. You are the person who has achieved. You are your ideal self. Feel the joy, the excitement, the peace, the fulfillment. Allow yourself to not see who you are or to see your achievement from a distance, but actually be there in the moment. See it through your own eyes. Feel it through your own skin. Smell what you smell. See it in vivid color. See it in motion. Immerse yourself in this experience, in this feeling. This is your reality now. And whenever your mind wanders from this vision, gently bring it back to your phrase, "Isn't it wonderful?" or simply, "Thank you." or how grateful I am, or how great it is. Bring your mind back to that phrase and to that feeling of being your ideal self, living your ideal life. And now let's stay in this state for a few minutes, continuing to play out this scene over and over in your mind, continuing to immerse yourself more and more deeply in this scene, in this feeling. This is your time to just be in this place, to be in this feeling, Knowing that this is your life. Feel the joy. Feel the excitement. Feel the peace. Feel the fulfillment. And now it's time to gently come back from this visualization. Keep the feeling of being your ideal self. Keep it with you as you slowly become aware of your surroundings. Take another deep breath in and let it out with a sigh. Ah, how good it feels. When you're ready, you can slowly open your eyes and remember This ideal self is not separate from you. It is you. You can step into this ideal self at any time. And as you go about your day, remember this feeling. Remember who you are. Speak from this place. Make decisions from this place. And tonight, as you drift off to sleep, revisit this visualization. Let the feeling of your ideal self accompany you into your dreams. Day by day, moment by moment, this vision from your imagination will take form in your outer world. Thank you for sharing this moment with me, and I applaud you for giving yourself this time to reconnect with your ideal self. Remember, it's not what you want, it's who you are.
