I'm gonna show you step by step, step, how to process an apostille in the state of Texas. The way I do it. At least.
Not only am I going to show you how to do it, I'm going to show you where to park. I'm going to show you when you have to drive it to Austin, where to park, the document that's required, and how easy this doggone thing is, okay? So stay tuned because I'm about to show you. I have a client, and she asked me to do an apostille, and I'd love to get it done for her. However, I know how to print it, but not the process. All right, So I gave her everything, including.
Look at this. The pictures of where to park at the corner of Brazos street and East 11th street in Austin, Texas. The address is 1081 Braza Street. If you look close, there's a wall right there with some stairs. That's where you park. That's the only place over there that has free freaking parking. This is another view of that place, intersection of Brazos and East 11th. There's a better picture of that wall you. You can park right up against there. And when you walk across the Street. The Secretary of State's office door is right across the street. This is another view of it. The office is right in front of this dog on pole right here. But there's the wall. If you look across the street, there's the wall, here's this pole and then there's the door to the right. Okay.
So that's the first thing that I gave her. Then I gave her step by step instructions, hours of operation for walk ins. Now this is for expedited service when your client needs it the very next day. So they give it to you. Today, you drive to Austin, tomorrow walk in. Their Hours are from 8am to 4:30pm Call for holiday hours. I give her the phone number to the apostille, the authentications unit as well as the address. 1019 Brazos, Austin, Texas 78701. The room number is 106. And here are the instructions.
Print and complete this form prior to going to the Secretary of State's office. I'll show you the form in a minute and I'll add it to the description so that you can download it yourself. Park against the wall at Brazosani East 11. See the photos? It's free. The Secretary of State's entrance will be directly across the street from where you park. Sign in at the front desk and go to room 106. When you get to the front of the line, let them know that you will need an apostille for a document that will be going to whatever country your document will be going to. There will be a $15 charge. There's a form that you have to provide them and let me open this form. This is the request form, request for official certificate or apostille. You add your information here, not your client, your name, address, phone number, email address, the name of the country where the document is going, the total number of documents. So if it's one page, that'll be 1 times $15. $15 per document. If it's two then that'll be 2 times 15 which is $30. You'll have to pay them and then method of payment. All right, so you can pay in check, money order. You can even hand them your card if you have a card to, so you can hand that to them. Now if your client does not need expedited service and you are going to mail this into to the Secretary of State, just provide them with the document along with a self addressed envelope that's prepaid so that they can send it right back to you and they give you the mailing address right here. Okay. All right. So now let me show you what this document actually looks like.

The country. There's my full name, my commission, and when it expires, you see all of that.
And that's their signature. Now, notice, they don't put the country that you put on that page. That's nowhere to be found on here. So if you mess that up, no problem. Keep it moving, you're good. Okay. But this is what an apostille looks like in the state of Texas.
Bam.
Now, if you need for the document to be expedited, okay, so in the state of Texas, an expedite. I use an expedite when the document needs to be there. The client can wait three days or seven to ten days. And I FedEx the document to express Austin Express carriers at 7801 Lamar, Suite D93, Austin, Texas 78752. This is their phone number. If I need a certified copy, I use 24 hour translation because I can pick the translation up on at 2020 Montrose. That's their address, and then take it with me to the Secretary of State.
So if you want to expedite expedited and you need a courier, that's the courier that I use. They charge $38 for their services. $38. Make sure that your notarization is correct.
Give them a self address stamp and they'll send all of the information right back to you. So you, in your FedEx package, you put a self address stamp along with the document, send it to Express Austin Express Couriers. They'll go to the Secretary of State for you and send the document right back to you. All right?
