It's a lot going on, so let's just dive into it. Because what I wanted to talk to you today about was I was trying to set up a Google business page for. I have one for my notary business, but I'm also a real estate agent. So if you know anybody who is moving to Houston, Texas or anywhere in Texas, hit me up. Hey, Linda, I'm glad you made it. So I was trying to start a Google business page for the real real estate business and ran into all kind of old crazy changes that they've made regarding the verification process. It used to be where you would put in your information.

And then they send you a postcard to verify. Not no most way. Let me show you what's going on.

There are two things that I'm going to show y' all that are really, really interesting. Customers can't see your business get verified. Now, I have my business name. This is. This is the team I'm with. It's actually called Corey White Real Estate Group, powered.

And then it has a category description. Got that description straight out of chat. GPT, I believe.

Don't have an opening date. Has my information, web address, my areas, blah, blah, blah, blah, office hours, all that good stuff. So as you can see, it's pretty set up, right? I'm friendly for everybody, okay? Dogs, cats, everybody. I don't care who it is. But so when you go over here.

When you get out of it, I don't have any reviews. I haven't written products or services yet. I don't think I've set up bookings yet, but I can. But you have to verify first. You even have to verify, I believe, to get calls, right? So why am I not verified? Let's click on get verified.

Let me put in a street address.

Bam.

Click on next.

Now, the only option this thing is giving me, normally it gives you at least three different options. One being a phone call where you can get a text, an email, or a business video. Now this is real interesting. Why do I know this is the only way.

It'S asking for? It won't let me go any further. Verify later or contact support. So it says show your location, equipment and proof of management. Your video is only for verification and won't be shown publicly. Okay, so you click next. This is if you do the video. Now, mind you, if you're having this issue and you have to verify through the recording or any kind of way, make sure that your business name.

Is the same as your web address, is the same as the ending of your. The suffix of your email address. They not as retarded as I'll get out today, especially with search engine optimization and your web address showing up more if it Has a keyword in it, right? But they want to see all of those things again. Your business name.

Your email address and your website. All of them have to have the the same sort of name. So it can be TJ@Solutions by TJ. The business name is Solutions by TJ. The URL is Solutions by TJ.com and then the email address is TJ@Solutions by TJ. That's how they want it, right? So keep that in mind because if you don't, they're gonna be looking like now all of that gotta match that don't even make. People don't even do that no more. Why they tripping? But anyway, so this is what they want you to do. Now how you gonna do this? I don't know how you gonna run down the street, show them the street sign of where you are, run back to your house, show them the equipment. Who knows? But anyway, capture three requirements in a continuous video that can be no longer than about two to three minutes long.

So this is what it's saying. An example, capture the street sign nearby, businesses, surrounding area regarding your location. Your location should match your business profile, service area.

So street sign, nearby, businesses, surrounding area. How they gonna know Sway anyway, it gotta be a street sign. Your business name and category should match your business profile example, your business card branded vehicle, if you have it wrapped, business tools or equipment. Okay, so cool. Your business card, I guess you can show them your business card or it's weird. You're authorized to represent this business example, unlocking a branded vehicle on video operating online. Business tools like Google Console will help you verify your business or proof of address. So if you have like a business license that has that address on it, then that'll work as well. So then you click next. Okay, so this is the. They give you some Odet Gum instructions, tips for getting started. Plan ahead. Make sure you capture all three requirements in one continuous recording. Take your time. Now they talking about take your time and you got to get a street sign. And most successful videos are one to two minutes. Videos longer than five minutes won't be accepted. Y' all better get to running. Hello. That's crazy. Start outside, capture your business surrounding first and then move inside. So you start at the sign and then you gotta run in the house and have everything all set up. Your business card, your license. This is ridiculous. Then if you click on change option, it's going to take you back to here and there's no way around it other than you clicking on contact support.

What can we help you with? Okay, so now I guess they were getting a lot of complaints. So this is how they decided to go around that.

And you can select the business, tell us what you need help with.

And you can say verification.

Then click next.

Choose one that best describes.

Can'T verify by email or phone. Next steps.

And this don't help. You know what I'm saying? This, what they send you does not help at all.

Verify your business on Google. Let's see.

Verify your business on Google. To update your business name and other info on Google, you must verify your business. When you verify your business, you can check that your info is correct. So they are giving you.

But see, the thing about this thing is normally it's freaking old. Like when they sending you to this damn help. The help is for the old system, it's not for the new system. It's real freaking.

So click next step and then in here you can email them. So it's stupid. It's real, real, real stupid. Real frustrating. I have been down that doggone rabbit hole for almost a week.

But you can go over.

And it'll check your status, right? Confirm email. Okay. Confirm.

It's going to ask for an address.

You put whatever you got to put in there. Checking verification.

You haven't initiated verification for this profile. Go back. Do you still need support? Yeah, I mean it takes you through this endless freaking loop, but then. So then it tells you to contact support. So the other day I came around. Let me see if it's on this other one. I finally got a little somewhere with it on my Google profile.

That's not it either.

That's not it.

And I was able to get.

And it looks like it closed my little page down, but I was able to get.

This is how I be having all these tabs open. So Google my business. Check your verification. Verify business, my business. Hold on, y'. All. Let me see Google website. Oh, that's a good one.

I'm just making sure that I don't have this somewhere else.

But you see how overly complicated they didn't make this, bro. Look, long story short, there is a. There is a way for you.

And it brought me back right there. There is a way for you to.

Get verified and send them a direct message on what errors you're having through the Google platform by going through support. You just gotta dig for freaking days to find that mug, man.

And I actually had it open and it closed on me when I. It closed and went back to my Google business. Profile. So I'm gonna have to do a video to show y'.

All so I can blur out my address and stuff. But that's some of the changes. However, this is one thing that I wanted to show y' all a long time ago when you were creating your Google Business page, you could create your website also, right? So now what you have to do if you want to create your Google Business profile and just a real quick little simple website is click on Edit.

Go back there. Here's edit your profile. This is your brand new profile for this business. For me, it has not gotten verified. I'm going to do a video to show y' all how to verify it because it ain't I. That's going to be all day night trying to. It was up and then when I went back into it, it left and I got to find it again. I'm not going to send y' all through that. So anyway, click on Edit Profile, right click.

Scroll down to View frame source. Click on that and you will get here.

Press control and F type in data.

D A T, A colon.

And then it's going to start searching for some stuff.

And I'll show you what it's going to look like when we find what we're looking for. Yep, the second time I clicked it, it's right here at the very bottom of the screen in orange, it says data colon. And you are going to.

Copy those numbers that are between the quotes. You're going to press control C.

Okay, this is the, the website who told me how to do this, right? So you have that.

And she showed me. So data, you go in between the quotes, you click on that and then you go to this website, you click on Business Google Dog on it. Let me, let me do that first. Hold on. I'm press Control C and then I'm gonna go over here and I'm gonna copy that and then I'm gonna go back.

Over here, press control C there to grab that number and right here where it says insert Google Business Site id, I'm gonna put her thing in the chat too, but I wanted to show y' all live as well. You put in that number. So it's business.google.com backslash site backslash, L backslash. And then the number click on return and voila, you can create a simple Google website. Now you got to do all of that, my friends, to create this simple website. When it used to be a link for it, I don't quite know what happened to the link. But listen.

It'S worth It. It's very much worth it.

Very. Powered by Google. This is more search engine optimization for you. Promise you.

So mine isn't published, but I'm telling you it's worth it. So if you need to go back and look at that again.

But all of that stuff used to be just right apart of the whole deal that you could work with. Now it is not. So. So, you know. Okay, I'm gonna show y' all something else. Now this is that Corey White real estate thing that I showed y'. All. If you can see, it used to look like this. This is how the side used to look. Business profile website. You create an ad, you can link businesses, all of that. But now you can click on business profile.

It kind of looks the same, right? Let it. Let it come down some.

But when you click on this, you can see you can add an update, do all of that. What has changed though? Before it didn't have all of this. Business profile settings notification, add a new business. It didn't have all of that when I showed y' all the first time. So now if I click on help and support from here.

You might be able to get somewhere.

Because this is telling you how to find support. Tell us more and we'll help you.

Okay. And it's showing right now, you know, the verification stuff. And I had to create this long text, that gum.

It's a place where it asked me for a whole.

A whole paragraph of stuff. And that's really what I'm trying to get to.

Especially that Google Website. I mean, having your own website is cool, but when you have it as a Google Website, it just kind of gives it a little more. They like for you to use their products, just like Facebook likes for you to use their products. It helps people stay on their platforms a little bit longer. So.

Can'T lie, it does give you a little boost. And you can just put all of your posts like right there from if you. Which I'd highly recommend. Highly recommend you post to your Google business page at least once a week. In order to do that and make that easy for you, I would say use something like planable. I'll show y' all planable real quick. It's called planable IO. P, L, A N. That's it. And it will.

Basically post everywhere for you. I mean it posts to everything. Shoot.

It'll post to your Google business page, Instagram, wherever you want planable IO.

The name of your business is what it is right from the state of Texas. So I'm telling them, hey, go get a dba. If your name. The name of your business is notary near me, Houston. Get a DBA saying that.

Get a DBA that says that.

Easy. So you can just show them.

Easy peasy. It's a 17 document.

And this is just the type of stuff we do because I believe that the notary business should be about you creating your dream business. So we go out as far as you want to go with this thing. If you want to start out as a notary and then start setting up your dream business, that's what this whole thing is about and that's what I love about it.
