How to Become a Loan Signing Agent in 2021 *Complete Tutorial* | Notary

And I'm excited that you are here because, you know, I was going through all of my videos and I realized I told you about the notary opportunity, but I didn't really tell people in detail. How to become a notary public loan signing agent. That's exactly what I'm doing today. How to become a notary public loan signing agent in 2021. How to become a notary public loan signing agent. Let's get into how to become a notary in 2021. Notary signing agent. All right, see you on the other side.

All right, so if you would like to become a notary public loan signing agent or a remote online notary, if that is in offered in your state, the first thing that I recommend you do is contact the National Notary association. Their website is nationalnotary.org let them know that you want to become a notary in your state and they will sign you up. Here's a hint. They're hard to deal with on that website, so call. I'll put the 1-800-number down below. Call them and let them know today that you want to become a notary in your state. Number two, once you've received your notary commission, call the NNA back because now you want to start getting certified to become a notary public loan signing agent. So they'll ask you a few questions. One of them is, are you commission? Are you a commissioned notary in your state? Remember I keep saying in your state because every state is different and you have to be commissioned in the state in which you live in order to let them know again, call the National Notary association, say, hey, I want to become a loan signing agent, or what are the steps in order to do so? And they will tell you what those steps are. Right? That's the major part, is to call them. When you call them, they will go over exactly what their plans are and you decide which one is appropriate for you. They have three different packages. The plan that I chose was a two hundred and something dollar plan. It was the highest plan that they have. Why did I choose that plan? One, because it included a workbook called certification Guide for notaries. When you take the National Notary association certification to become a notary public loan signing agent, you have to take a test. It's an open book test. And the test is not timed. That book is in that $200 program. That's why I got that program. Okay. It's important. Now there are other programs that are available. However, if you want to purchase a cheaper program, it may not have everything in that package that I'm telling you about. So that's just my recommendation. If you can then purchase that and let me go back just for a second and give you some expectations. So if you want to become a notary public loan signing agent, it's going to cost you anywhere from 700 to $1,000 just to get set up. There are other options that are much cheaper, like becoming a ron. RON stands for remote Online Notary. And we'll talk about that probably in another video. Okay. So you purchase that package, the highest packet or the one right under it, and they will take you through that. All of that on the National Notary Association. They're gonna also let you know that you'll need bonding, you'll need E and O insurance. Right. And they'll offer that to you as well. Those are add ons that I definitely, definitely, definitely recommend that you get. Okay. There may be some other things that they are recommending like the membership to the National Notary Association. I've always been a member and that is very important because they keep you up to breast on any updates as far as laws in your state, other ways to make money, just all kinds of awesome and amazing information. If you're looking for something, nine times out of nine you can go on that website and it's there. You, you just gotta dig and dig and dig. So I try my best to make it easier for y' all to find certain stuff. And you know that that's, that's how I do on this channel. I also recommend that you get a mentor. That's right. You need a mentor. I offer mentorship where I pay. I know. I offer mentorship where I take my clients through their documents page by page by page. That's important. Why? Because a lot of people offer you this thing where you can watch a video, not your documents. A lot of people don't learn like that. Then they come to me and have to pay additional money. When you finish with me, you'll be, you'll feel confident and secure that you can walk your client through those exact documents. And then when you're at Closing. I'm accessible to you. So if you, if a question arises, you forgot something that I said. You can simply call or text me and in a very professional way and say, hey, this is Ms. Mendez, I'm at the Garcia closing. I was giving you a call regarding page 25. Please let me know what goes on that page. I act as your back office when you pay me for mentorship. Hiring. Hiring a mentor is very important. It's costly. Don't hire the wrong one. If you're a person that learns by doing, get a mentor and pay the price. That'll show you how to do it. All right, number three, purchase a laser printer. You can only have a laser printer. That inkjet printer that you have is not good enough. But let me give you some game. If you don't want to purchase a printer or if you cannot purchase a printer, you can rent one. I'm gonna look up some places where you can rent a printer. Because when you rent that printer, that's a business write off for you. You may have to pay for it monthly. But then you figure out, say it's a hundred dollars a month to rent a printer, right? And you saying, well, shoot, I can buy one for 300. It's a write off though. And if you're making more than a hundred dollars a month, right, and you're paying that printer off, it'll help your business credit. I'm going somewhere with this, y'. All. You have to get in a position to build your business credit based on stuff like this. Renting your car versus buying your car so that it can go towards your what? Business credit. That's the only way you're gonna build business credit is to use it. So when you rent, it builds your business credit. All right, laser printer. You can buy it or you can rent it. A lot of people don't have 300, but they have 100 to get started. Why not rent it if you want to buy one later? Cool. But that's a one time write off on a $300 printer versus a monthly write off. It's a big difference, y'. All. It's a big difference. If you want to know more about that, ask me in the comments. Okay? And then number four, begin the online training immediately. So the National Notary association is going to give you everything that you need. They will do a background, they'll give you E and O insurance, they'll give you bonding. I personally recommend, don't get their E and O insurance. Go to a company called Buybirk B. I B, E, R, K. Get at least $100,000 worth of E and O insurance from Biberk. It's cheap, so you can actually get more. You can get a million dollar policy. I also have other insurance to close the gap between if I make any mistakes. I just need to be insured, honey. I just need to know I'm okay. So talk to an insurance agent agent. Let them know what you're doing and also let them look at your policy so that they can make sure that you're covered on all grounds regarding that test, which is number four, the National Notary Association's test to become a certified loan signing agent. Go and finish it. Don't procrastinate. It's open book and it's untimed. You can finish it in a day or even a weekend. When you go through all of those modules, you can hurry up and complete it. So go on and take that test and finish it. Once you finish it, it's over. Then you complete your profile on signingagent.com and I'm going to give you a few pointers on this signingagent.com thing. Make sure that you add a professional photo. Don't take no phone, no picture with your in your phone. And then upload that as your profile picture. Take a professional headshot. Okay? Make sure that you add zip codes from all over your city, not just where you are. Because you want every opportunity to get notifications. And the more they send you notifications, the more zip codes you have and the more areas that you cover, the more notifications that you'll get when jobs are around. That's important, y'. All. So make sure that you add all the zip codes and counties in your area in which you want to do business. I personally have every area in doggone near every county. And I do this under the additional information portion on signingagent.com now go back if you need to. I just told you where to put that information. It's under the additional information section when you're filling out your profile. Another good tip is also make sure that your picture contains a seal that says nna certified. So insigningagent.com when I first signed up, I didn't see that seal after I took my test. One. You take that. Once you take your test, then you get that pretty seal that says NNA certified background screened. If you do not see that, contact the National Notary Association, NNA and ask them why it's not there and then they'll add it. That's what I had to do. All right, now also, a couple of companies that you need to sign up for. Sign up for SnapDocs, S, N, A, P, D, O, C, S.com and complete your profile using the same information that you did on signingagent.com, all the zip codes, all the counties, professional headshot, same exact information. Okay. And then upload, you know, all of your credentials. They're going to need your commission, your E and O insurance, your background check, and maybe a few other things. Oh, they're going to need an id. They're going to need your driver's license. So those are all of the things. You know. They'll also need your bond. So all of the stuff that you've already gotten, you'll have to upload it. Not to mention they're also going to need a notarized copy of your actual commission. Okay, that's important. So a notarized copy of the commission certificate that you got from the nna. And if you're certified as a run, I would add that information as well as under the credential certification if you have it and if it's available in your state. All right, now when you sign up to snapdocs, it's important that you take that quiz on snapdocs, y'. All. Very, very important. Why? Because it elevates you. It gets you higher in your ranking. They rank you too, from low to medium to high. You always want to be high and top notch on everything. So take the quiz on snapdocs. And then number eight, call companies that hire notaries every day at different times of the day to get on their radar so that they can start sending you business. All of these are not created equal, honey. These hundreds of signing companies that are on some of these lists are all outdated and they mean nothing. Use my list. I'm trying to save you some time. When you call the signing companies, get the person's name, their direct phone number, the email, and when their shift starts, make friends. That's how you get business. People do business with people they like. So you call them, you send them coffee, you send them some donuts or something and just make friends with them. That's important.
