My Notary Bag | The Items I Always Carry 2023 | Solutions By TJ

Video by LaTonya “TJ” Johnson showing the items she carries for her notary public / loan signing business. TJ reviews several storage options (an inexpensive original box, a locking storage chest from OfficeMax, and a heavy vault-style notary box), describes folders/dividers and internal documents (commission, Secretary of State forms, apostille/acknowledgement loose-leaf certificates), and lists everyday supplies (stamp, rubber bands, paper clips, tablet, journal, FedEx envelopes). She asks viewers for bag/box suggestions and affiliate links.

Hey, this is TJ with Solutions by tj, and I'm creating this video to show you what's in my bag. Now, part of this video is older because I wanted to test the bag out before I gave it to you guys. So take a look at the box that I use. It's too heavy. Let me know what.
What you use for a notary bag.
And give me some suggestions, baby. Because I want to be able to put all of my documents into the. Into whatever I use, and I want it to be secure. So let me know in the link. Even if you give an affiliate link, let me know what box or bag you use.
So it's been a while since I purchased a new notary bag. And you know what? I just let this get way too dead. Gum trifling.
This is my original box. It costs maybe $10. My little stuff busting all out the side.
You see that? That's ridiculous. This little flap keeps coming open.
I mean, look at him. This was cheap. It worked for a while. But of course, it's not sturdy enough to be your forever bag.
Right.
So I just purchased another bag.
This one from Office Max. I started to get one that was fireproof, but I was ready to go on and get one. It's a locking storage chest. Because sometimes I have to leave my bag in the car. I wanted something that I could secure and that I could lock. So as you can see here, it has locks. You slide them to the left. I say slot. I say slide to the left. So one of them comes open.
Then this one is giving me a little resistance with opening. Yeah, it takes too much to open this. Guess what? This is about to go back. But I'm gonna buy the exact same box. So I'll keep showing you this. This video so it has enough room in it to store everything that I want in my notary bag.
I also got these.
Folders so that I can put them at the bottom. One will hold my extra documents, and then the other will hold client documents. This burgundy one will hold client documents. I got two different colors. The burgundy one will hold client documents. So that'll go in there. Then for my documents, I also got. These are a little small, but they'll do the job. I got some page dividers. Why did I get page dividers? Well, I'm doing apostille jobs now, and so I have the loose leaf certificates that you can Download from the nationalnotary.org site because my clients often need an acknowledgement. Right. So I have a lot of loose leaf acknowledgments in here. Those stop there. So that'll go under one tab. Then I have the Secretary of State's application form. I just went on and printed all of them out and put all of my stuff on it so that I'd have it when I'm ready to do a job, and I can just cross out the quantity or whatever when I need to.
And, of course, I still have all of my supplies.
My stamp goes here, rubber bands, my best pins. I have paper clips, and all of that goes into.
That bag.
And never, ever, ever.
Forget your journal, if you still carry a paper journal that goes into that bag. I have stickies from when I used to use them. I don't even use stickies anymore, but there's always a good reason just to keep some sticky. So I'll put those in my notary bag.
I have a tablet that I keep just in case I need to take any notes or anything. So I'll keep that tablet.
And of course, my commission.
My commissioning document, my commission document. I keep it in this type of.
In this. So that goes in there. Then I have my binding information that goes in there. I have.
My background information. I put that in there.
And just all of my notary stuff. The E Learning transcript that I took, the latest one, this is from 2016, but I've taken the latest one. And then, of course, my notary checklist. I'll leave a copy of my notary checklist just in case you need it. But this has been with me since day one. And on the back is still, you know, some stuff on there, but I leave those. So these pages will actually go into one of the blue. The blue folders that I just showed you. So it'll go in here for my internal document as well as both of those. All of these are internal documents.
So.
What else? And that's it, folks.
I do carry with me some FedEx.
Things so that I can hurry up and fill those out so that when I get to FedEx, I don't have to, you know, stand there filling stuff out. So I have some FedEx envelopes that I'm going to put in here and then that is it. If you have any questions or comments, let me know. Also, let me know what's in your notary bag. Let me know how you like this video. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me@supportolutionsbytj.com all right, you see this box?
This is my notary box. This is what I've been using this doggone thing is so freaking heavy. The reason that I liked it, though, is because, as you can see, it has the security for my documents, and it's by vaults. But this thing is heavy. It looks heavy, doesn't it?
But it holds a whole bunch of stuff. Whole bunch of stuff.
So.
That'S the box. Now let me go back a little bit so I can show you. All right. It has handles on both sides.
And.
The security is what I wanted.
But let me know what your box.
Is or what your.
What bag you use in your notary public loan signing agent business. Because.
Because I need something else, bro.
And here's one view of the things that I keep in here. I'll go deeper into this. But look, man, I mean, it's not a bad bag. Not a bad bag at all. But this mug is heavy. And when you're carrying it through hospitals and all of that, I like it. I ain't getting rid of it, but I'm just saying it's kind of heavy.
