Notary Basics | Uploading documents & scan backs: What they don't tell you | loan signing agent jobs

TJ walks through gear for loan signing agents: get a fast mobile scanner (16 ppm for $89, or 25 ppm for $250), keep a compact printer in your car, and scan whole packets as single files. He also covers fully mobile setups for agents doing many closings.

Hey, this is TJ with Solutions by TJ again. Baby, baby. All right, so I have another tip for you. I talked about scanning documents, uploading them as soon as you get through with your signing. Now, I talked about Adobe Scan in the last one and then I thought about it. You know, that's the way that I do. But I know people who have mobile scanners, right? And that's also a good idea. But you got to be careful with that because you can look on Amazon and they have mobile scanners, scanners that will scan one document at a time. Don't nobody have time for that? It will take forever. It's it that small, small, small scanner is normally for receipts. So keep all of your receipts in one place. What I recommend is getting a scanner. I saw one, I'll put the link below for 89 bucks. I think it's a brother. And it scans 16 pages per minute. Then I saw another one for 250. It scans 25 pages per minute. Now, depending on which one you want, I always, you know, overkill. So I like the faster one, but I'll give you options. So having a mobile scanner and even a mobile printer. Look, I keep a mobile printer in my car. I don't have a big old, big old, you know, laser printer in my car. I don't. I have a printer that if push comes to shove, I can print a document, not a laser. I do know people who have a whole car set up with a battery in their trunk or in their back seat where they can power a big old industrial size laser printer. And that's cool. I just don't know how to do it. I don't have, you know, there's nobody here to set that up for me, so. But it is doable. And they, it requires a whole different battery in order to do that in the back seat of your car or in your trunk. But it's doable. So if you do a whole bunch of closings in one day. When I say a whole bunch, I mean five or more. You may want to consider going completely mobile and having a completely mobile setup. I'll try to see if I can find somebody who has a completely mobile setup to shoot a video for y'. All. But in the meantime, just to scan these documents and get them out of your hair, upload them to your computer pretty quickly, get a mobile scanner that will connect directly to your printer and upload those documents that way. Make sure, however, that when you're scanning again, make sure that that whole packet is scanned and scanned together. Don't up. Don't scan 16 and then upload 16. No. If they gave you 200 pages, you scan them back and upload 200 pages. We clear? All right. That's my other tip. Hope that helped you. Look at the links below. Use that to your advantage.
