Notary Work: The Truth About It | Loan Signing Agent

TJ breaks down where notaries actually make money: networking with real estate investors and wholesalers, offering hospital-based services like power of attorney and wills at $100 minimum per visit, and running ads on a $300 monthly budget to pull in $1,500 profit. The key is networking and pricing right, not competing on cost.

Hey, this is TJ with Solutions by tj And I want to tell you guys where the money is now. Like right now for notaries, notary public loan signing business is just one part. It's not the whole thing. There's money to be made right now as a notary public loan signing agent and just as a general notary. So let's get into that. Let's talk about tj. Where's the money now? Everybody's bailing and, you know, people don't know which way to go. Let's talk about where the money is right this minute. All right.
So here's a little bit about what I've been doing that's really working for me. And it always has. I'm a real estate investor. When times are good, real estate investors eat. When times are bad, real estate investors eat. Because we understand the cyclical nature of, of what's going on. Whole lot of layoffs right now. What Twitter laid off how many? 10,000 people. Amazon is laying off 10,000 people. I mean, a lot. There are a lot of layoffs. And I believe that there will be even more layoffs. When there are layoffs, then people can't pay their mortgage, so they start losing their houses. So investors start scooping up those houses. It's sort of a law of nature in the cycle of real estate, cycle of life. You know what I'm saying? It's like lions and tigers and baths in this mug. I mean, a lion sees a baby deer and go eat the baby D. It's. You might not think it's right, but it's the cycle of life. I don't know what to tell you. What it's like cold blood. But so what is working now is you need to start networking with investors because they're still closing deals. Don't just go with any investors. If there is an investor club or an investor group within your community, you need to become a part of that group network within there and get to know everybody in there and so that they know that you are the go to notary when it comes to closing deals. Now, who has the most deals are normally the wholesalers. I'm talking about the active wholesalers who have a whole team who go out and get it. Yummy. They have the deals, so they are going to close. They're going to be at the closing a part of the closing. And they can recommend you to be the notary on the deal, the notary public loan signing agent. Now you have to teach your client because some people will say, well, the title company already uses a certain company. Guess what? The buyers and the sellers can choose who they want to work with. Just like if you're in a wreck, you can choose who's fixing your car. Yeah, they can choose. So let them know. You get an opportunity to choose whether you want to work with me. You don't. They, you don't have to work with who they tell you to work with. So educate them and let them know that they can use you and why they should use you. You're available for them. There are going to be some times when they have to get affidavits of airship sign. You do that for them, you be their go to notary. Investors, wholesalers. Investors, wholesalers. Another place. So I live. My zip code is in the hospital zip code.
So on Google business, baby Ikea, I kill because my zip code is in the same zip code as the whole freaking hospital district.
Hallelujah. So when they're looking for a notary, I'm the first one with no advertising that they come up with, it's me.
That's great. And in order to go into a hospital, because, listen, there's so much going on, you know, you have Covid, you got to go in there masked up, which you might have always should have gone in that mug mess up. Because it's a hospital. I mean, the name is just nasty. It's a lot. It's a lot. I charge at a minimum $100 to go into the hospital. Number one, I gotta park way away from the hospital and walk with my supplies. Number two, a lot of hospitals in our district, you have to go through some protocols. You have to get a mask, you have to sign in. Some of them you gotta watch a whole video. That's my time, right? Some of them won't let you. I went to a mental hospital. They won't let everybody in until a certain amount of time. They frisk you, you wait. It's a lot of processes and procedures that you have to go through even before you get to your client. $100 a pop. Get. I mean, you, if you're the person, you can have one hospital. You don't have to have a whole goddamn hospital district or one hospital. And you eat one floor, possibly, and you eat all day long. Okay? So that's another thing, just doing the power of attorneys, the medical power of attorneys, various wills and trusts within the hospital because it goes on all day long. And you know, man Bill Siroto did a video talking about him doing wills and estate planning and all of that. Stuff, it's big money in that 250 base is his. Is his price for estate planning. So that means wills, trust, blah, blah, blah. But, yeah, so that. Those two. Three. No, two. Those two avenues. Investors, hospitals. The other one is making me kill and stay consistent is paid advertising.
A lot of people are scared of paid advertising for good reason. I lost a whole bunch of money in paid advertising not knowing what I was doing. So now that I know what I'm doing, I really want to teach y' all how to do it, because it's not that hard once you get it. For every. Let's say in a month, I spend $300 on paid advertising. My profit after expenses is going to be 1500. So that five times what I spent is what I'm making. I want you to hear that. Did you hear that? I spent 300. I made 1500. Man, you got to get into this, okay? That's just in one freaking area of my business. And the more I spent, if I spend 600, I'm gonna make 3,000.
Right? Paid advertising is the next thing, and I really want to show y' all how to do it. But like I told y', all, man, people get into the market. I'm telling you about the hospitals. That's part of my money right there, baby. Part of my big money. Now, don't everybody flood the hospitals and surely don't. Doggone. Oh, know your worth, honey. Know your freaking worth. Don't go in there with them pookie prices and you getting all out of your car and all of that stuff. $50, $10. Because you're trying to win the business, win the business the right way through relationships. That's how you win business. Because people who like me may not like somebody else. People who like you may not like me. That's how these channels work, too. You gravitate towards people that you like. So my message may not resonate with everybody. Lashan's may be better. Ms. Martin's may be better. I like her channel. I like. I like her. She does things, but that's how it goes. So people will deal with you. People purchase from people they like. You don't have to cut your prices for somebody to like you. All right, this is TJ with Solutions by tj. And that's where the money is today. Go get it. God bless you.
