The 3 Biggest Myths About Being a Notary Signing Agent | Notary Signing Agent Training

TJ breaks down three myths about notary signing agents: that you'll quickly make $10-20k (you won't without building relationships), that loan signings are the only money (apostille and general notary work pays better per document), and that you need no training (you need to know jurats and acknowledgments).

Hey, this is TJ with solutions by TJ and man. Listen, I want to dispel the three biggest myths that I've been hearing on the good Internet that are just complete lies about notary public, loan, signing agent business. This business. Let's get to it. Myth number one, it's easy to make 10 to $20,000.
There is a difference between simple and easy, right? The simple part is that you have to build relationships. You can't just sit back and expect for people to call you. You can't. You have to proactively call them, build relationships with the schedulers, make sure they know your name, make sure that your accuracy is on point, and build up to that 10 to $20,000 level. You see people online acting like that comes overnight. For some, it comes in a month. For others, it comes in six months. It depends on how aggressively you are going after that goal, how aggressively you are building those relationships and making those phone calls. So when I say aggressive, tj, what you mean by aggressive? I mean that are you making 100 calls a day?
Do you follow up with the people that you spoke to? Do they know your name yet? Have they started sending you jobs?
This is the best time holiday season, best time to build those relationships. Because nobody wants to work Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, day after Christmas, baby. Make your money. You hear me?
Make your money. Myth number two, the notary signing agent way is the only way to make money as a notary. The real money. Lies, sway, lies. There are plenty of ways to make money in this business. As a matter of fact, I'm not even. I don't even really process loans anymore. I don't do that. I completely have switched over to the apostille game. That's it. Why? Because it is. You ain't gotta print out all of those sheets of paper. Number one, it's the same as doing general notary work with, I mean, that gum. Near 10 times the profit. 10 times the profit. I kid you not. So you know, that's a major way when you think of. You can process one document, one page, one page for, at a minimum, $125. Okay? That's a lot of money when you got a whole packet for a hundred. A whole packet of 75 to 200 pages that you gotta print twice and miss me with that. I don't want to do that no more, y'. All. I don't want to do the last minute thing, you know? And then that printer break.
I got PTSD from that. Now, don't get me wrong, because the other day, I did process something that came through my line. It was four pages for $50. That was less than five minutes away from me. I took it. Thank you. Everybody else was looking at that like, I ain't gonna do nothing for 50, baby. You better read how many pages it is. Okay, and myth number three.
Number three. What do y' all think it is? Myth number three is that you. You don't have to have any type of education or learn anything to start doing this notary business. More lies, Sway. You need to know what a jurat is. You need to know what an acknowledgment is. And if you don't, those are primary pieces of this business. Look up ahead, and I'm going to show you videos that tell you exactly how to fill those documents. That's fundamentals. That's above everything else. You have to know the fundamentals. All right, Those are my three things. Newbie, oldie, let me know what your thoughts are in the comments below. All right, y' all take care. Bye.
Sam.
