Hey friend. This is TJ with Solutions by tj. And today I'd like to present to you. Buying the Right Printer for Notary Signing Agents. This is a very important video. I'm going to show you the most affordable and efficient printers that I found to date. Also, before we get started, please hit that subscribe button and the notification bell because the next video that I'm going to post will walk you through how how to prepare and present closing documents to your client. Now, I haven't seen another video like this on the Internet, especially for free, so you might want to subscribe and hit that notification bell. But in the meantime, let's get started. Let me show you these printers. So I want to go through what you really need in a printer. Just in case you don't like my options. I want you to be able to look for a printer that suits you best. So let's go through it real quick. You have to have a laser printer because they print the best, most crisp documents available. It needs to be all in one compact monochrome dual tray. And it has to be a fast printer. Let me tell you why I suggest these items be these features be in the printer that you choose. Laser printers are the standard. Do not use ink printers to print a package of documents. I repeat, do not use an ink printer to print a package of documents. The ability to print and copy and scan, that's all in one. So sometimes you have to scan the documents back to the lenders and you want that feature. If you don't want to. There's an app called Adobe Scan that I use so that I can take a picture of each document, each page in the document, and the app turns the Images into a PDF and I upload that into SnapDocs. Well, if you want to wait until you get home to do that, you need a printer that will allow you to do that and scan those documents and send them to snapdocs or to your printer. You also want your printer to be compact, weigh between 20 and 30 pounds. I actually have an HP printer that I bought. It's refurbished HP and I promise it weighs about 60 pounds. I purchased that printer, it was about 400 and something dollars. And then after I purchased that, my mom and sister bought the brother printer. Well, they spent 250, so $200 less than I spent. And the printer works just as good, if not even better. So monochrome. The monochrome laser printers use one black toner cartridge. Color is not necessarily.
Necessary to print your documents. And the color laser printers typically use four Cartridges. They use the cayenne, magenta, yellow and black cartridges and they cost more and increases your cost per page to print. Long story short, get the monochrome. Ideally you should have two paper sources for which to pull legal sized or letter sized paper. Hence dual tray. Let me tell you though, the dual tray printers are more expensive. You can actually print all of your documents on legal size paper and you won't have a problem. I've never had a problem with that. But if you have the money to go dual tray, some of the pages within your docs will be eight and a half by 11, others will be eight and a half by 14. So some will be letter size, others will be legal size. That's where the dual tray comes in because it'll automatically switch between those sizes of paper and it should print relatively fast, over 35 pages a minute. Right now the industry storm is about, I mean lord, industry standard is about 42 pages per minute. So you know, mine prints about 42 and I love my printer and I'm going to show you one within the printers that I present that will print that fast. However, if it's 35 pages, then that's absolutely fine. Just know that it's going to print those 200 page docs slower than it would if it was 42 pages per minute. So, and don't forget, you gotta print this packet twice. So you have to have one copy for you and one copy for your client.
And that's only if it's two people. If there are more people, of course you'll need to print more docs and make sure that you print clean, crisp copies, no wrinkles, no smears, and that your printer is your own private equipment. Because there is sensitive information things. These documents contain the buyer's Social Security number, their addresses, all of their different forms of names where you can find them. So it has to be a private printer just for their safety and for yours because you don't want to get sued for letting these people's information out. So the first one that I'd Recommend is the Brother 2710DW. It cost about $199.
And it prints 32 pages per minute. It has most of the features that I said at a reasonable price. So if you are real price conscious right now, this is the printer that I'd recommend, the 2710 DW. It'll do what you need it to do.
And it weighs, you know, £26. It operates via wi fi connectivity, really good printer.
The next printer is the brother 2750 DW. And again, this one has all the features. The difference is it prints versus 32 pages per minute. It prints 36 pages per minute. So that's a little faster and will get you to where you need to go a tad bit faster.
Now, this is the main one. It's a higher price, but it also has the absolute best features. So it's $269 on Amazon. And again, I'm going to provide all the links below in the description for you to go directly to it. So you can just come back here and get the links. So this one prints the 42 pages per minute. This is the one my family has. It's an awesome printer. I mean, if you can. This is definitely the one that I highly recommend you get. If you have to get the others, that's cool. But if you can spend this extra little, you know, $70 or so, do it, because this is the best one. It prints fast, it does what you need for it to do. And again, this is the brother 5700 dwell. And that is it, folks. If you want to call and chat with me, you can schedule an appointment on Calendly Solutions by TJ and schedule an appointment. I am starting to offer mentorship, so if you want to call and talk to me, that call is absolutely free. Just get on my calendar. Also, join me on Facebook @SolutionsbyTJ. I'm also on Instagram @SolutionsbyTJ. So I hope that you guys like this video. And. And if you need anything, please feel free to reach out to me. If there are any questions at all, write it in the comments. And if you use a different printer that you like, please let me know that too. Because a lot of notary public loan signing agents just use a printer that has one function. It only prints. I prefer the all in one because when I'm at home, I prefer to scan if I'm already at home, especially if I've done several closings that day and I can just scan them all in during the middle of the day without having to take a picture of 200 different pages. So there you have it. Those are the printers that I recommend. God bless y', all, and I'm rooting for you.
