You know, I'm just sitting in my car and I'm just thinking. So I told y' all that I got my real estate license. So I am a licensed realtor in the state of Texas. I can do business all over. So if you got something, you know, somebody, baby, hit me because I'm doing business. But in relation to notaries, you know, realtors are the pulse, really, of the realest of real estate all over the United States.
Especially the ones who are working, working and who, who are actively, you know, in the market helping clients. Hands down, they're the pulse. I wonder why we don't use them as a resource way more. I mean, it just, it's a marriage made in heaven. When you think of the notary public loan signing agent and a realtor, my question to you is, how many realtors are, are you affiliated with? How many realtors do you know? There's somebody in your family, somebody in your friend group, somebody in your friends friends group who's a realtor? Have you taken the time to talk to them, meet with them, explain to them the value of what you do, and see how y' all can work together to provide their clients a luxury service?
I want you to comment on that below because that's a serious question. So you may say, well, you know, I don't have a friend, a relative, or a friend of a friend who knows a Realtor. Cool. No big deal. If you go to the national association of Realtors, if you go to your state's association of Realtors, you'll see a small slew of realtors. But here's the kicker. If you Simply Google top 10 realtors in Houston, Texas, that's just in Texas or just in Houston. If you are a remote online notary.
You can offer that service throughout your entire state, throughout any state, really, because you're online and you have clients that you can walk through the documents as quickly as possible, don't have to leave their job. They can sit in front of the computer and do it. Wow, freaking game changer. What are you doing?
How are you growing your business? How are you ensuring that you survive recession? Inflation cycles in the market, ups down, sideways. How are you preparing to survive? Because every single thing under the sun goes through some type of cycle. How are you surviving? My recommendation is to begin networking like I said in the other video, begin networking with Realtors. Realtors have clients regardless of what the market is. If the market is an investor friendly market, guess who their clients are.
If the market is a buyer's market, guess who their clients are, Sellers, market. Hey, you roll with the waves, honey. So you need to learn to roll with the waves. Roll with the cycles have different level. See, we all talk about title companies, signing services. Let's go deeper people. Let's go a lot deeper than we have ever done before. And start getting clients where who have the direct pulse of the people that we want to do business with. So that's more of a business to business type of arrangement. Your business is a notary, their business as a realtor. Right. Instead of a business to client where you would go after clients directly. You have to, have to, have to network. It's not optional. So sweetheart, you gotta put yourself out there. You gotta get out there and you gonna have to hustle a little bit. Great place. I recommend Bill Siroca's book where he talks about LinkedIn for notaries. Whoa, you gotta get on LinkedIn. You have to freaking get on LinkedIn. It's not optional. And you need to fill out your profile and just do a wonderful job and at being able to contact people, talk to people, let them know how you provide value.
Because that's what everybody wants.
Okay, so in the comments, please tell me what you are doing. If, listen, if it's not a realtor, who else do you use? How else are you putting your business out there? That is my question to the notary community. What resources you can you help all of us with in order to continue to grow our businesses, continue to survive the ups down sideways of this market. One that Ms. Ebony gave me that was amazing was being the middle person to coordinate weddings. Wow, bro. So you are not the wedding coordinator, right? Well, you are not the. You are not, what is it called? A welding coordinator. You're the person basically who makes sure that the hotels are ordered for the family, the cake is ordered, you know, stuff like that. Like various venues, the venue has already been secured and you just send her a check and you. She handles all of that, right? She just pays for it. But you're the one to actually secure those venues for her. Listen, what are you doing? Because I thought that was an amazing idea, bro. Great. Matter of fact, I'm thinking about it for myself. Okay, but let me know in the chat what you're doing, how you're doing it, who are you networking with, how do you get clients? Don't matter what business you're in, sweetheart. One thing that I have learned, even in this, the short term rental business, you can make it beautiful. You can put it up, build a prettiest website, have a great product training, blah blah blah. You can't get clients to it. It is useless if the damn thing don't make money.
So how do you get clients? The basis of any business is how do you get clients? How do people find you? Who do you network with? Where are you getting your people from?
