Hey, this is TJ with Solutions by tj. And this is Sunday Funday. Thank you guys for coming and joining us today. You know what, I hope y' all are having a good time. Listen, it's crunking H town today. I don't know what's going on, but they had a whole freaking block party right down the street from where I live. And so y' all know I had to go and I'm just coming back. That's why I'm so cute. Check it out, check it out. But I wanted to get on and answer any and all questions that you have and address any issues that you're having in your business and see how I can help you make 10 to 20 thousand dollars a month as a notary and a notary public loan signing agent and. Or a notary public loan signing agent. So thank you, thank you, thank you for joining me. This is always an amazing time for me. Y' all know y' all give me energy because, baby.
I would have stayed at Sunday Funday. Hello. You know, look around 9 o', clock, 10 o'. Clock. It's just getting good. Thank you. Madison.
Huh?
You don't have the right whole outfit on. Why you gonna show somebody your pants?
Don't look at the shirt. No, you can't nobody people see the whole outfit. She want to show y' all her pants because she thinks she cute. But you know, I'm saying she ain't put the whole outfit on. Come on, show the people your little pants. But she was really cute earlier with the way we put her whole outfit together. All right, they cute.
You know what I'm saying?
You gotta come up. She's silly. Look. Oh, she's showing you the pocket. Oh, my God. Okay, okay, back up.
They went to.
Seven on seven. Game. Is that what it is? Five on five, Seven on seven.
I got nerd to say five on five.
Yes, Lord. If you are on Facebook, come on and join me on YouTube. It's better because we can talk. We could be in a conversation and go two way, you know what I'm saying? So come on over because I ain't on here by myself now. I came for you. If it were not for you, I would still be out at Sunday fun day. But I'm here for you, so come on, talk to me.
What y' all got going on? So.
I'm extremely happy to report that my, you know.
My short term rentals are prospering. Praise ye the Lord. I'm getting a lot, a lot, a lot of bookings. This, I mean, March is going to end up being one of the best months that I've had.
And we'll see how you know. I'm already almost booked up for April. I need to look at my calendar, but I'm pretty much booked up and may I probably need to raise my prices. You know, the thing about it that I'm learning the biggest thing is this freaking pricing. God, I wish I had a pricing mentor. How y' all need mentors to do what y' all need. I, I need one too. I do. I need a pricing mentor.
So if you know anybody, let me know because I just wanna somebody to guide me hand in hand.
Excuse me, excuse me for drinking on here, but I am thirsty.
So I wonder all 13 people that are on, on, on Facebook or Y' all on YouTube, come on over to YouTube so we can talk. Let me see, let me see what my clubhouse family is doing.
I did some new. Oh, let me tell you this. So while I'm on short term rental type stuff I created, I had gotten pictures done of the units, right?
I've paid, I know, a good thousand dollars plus trying to get the right pictures for the units. Because when people are searching on, on, you know, trying to find places, the pictures that stand out always win the prettiest pictures. And it's just like in all real estate. So I put up the pictures, man. My first. These are are freaking people who do this every day. I could not get a good picture at the right angle to make it really pop and say bam. You know, I had to do it myself. I did it with my freaking iPhone and my pictures look amazing. I'm gonna put a link to my, my short term rental properties in the my Airbnb channel. So if you want to see those pictures, go over here, baby. They are hot.
Just so you can see. Dang, tj, you did those pictures yourself, girl.
No freaking film experience, no photography experience. None of that.
None of that.
But they look better than everybody else's picture. And I got this guy from Fiverr to edit the pictures. And they look good, man. Go check them out. I ain't lying just because they mine. I've had other people say that too, right from this dog on iPhone. That's crazy.
Crazy, crazy. So yep, yep.
Yep, yep.
That's been the major thing that I've been working on. Hey, Ms. Victoria, Ms. Stephanie, come on up if y' all want to chat.
I ain't talking about nothing much right now, just.
My short term rentals. Everything is going good. I need to get back on Clubhouse. But.
I need to get back on Clubhouse and get in some of these doggone rooms.
But we shall see. It just got too messy for a while.
And then I got off. But there's out there, I mean, in the middle of a lot of mess. It's also some great information. You just gotta weed these bad seeds out, honey.
So I'm looking through Clubhouse. Anybody have any questions for me?
I didn't come to talk a whole, whole bunch, you know, I'm just here to answer whatever questions y' all have. If y' all don't have any questions, I might go back to Sunday Funday.
Hello.
Because my cousins just got out and went down there, so now I ain't gonna. I've been down there for over. Shoot since 6 o' clock by myself. My cousins just left my house.
So that'll be fun. No questions. Stephanie, Cool beans. How was your week this week? What did you do? Did you do anything interesting or have any. Any interesting notary jobs?
Let me bring you up.
Okay. There you go.
Hey, chica. Hey. How are you?
I'm good.
Yeah. I don't have any questions. I had a pretty good week. I'm a new notary.
I just started in January.
Awesome.
So.
But I mean, I didn't. I know all the word is that it's been slow, but I've been pretty busy. I don't know, maybe it's slower compared to last year or something, but I've been pretty busy this week.
I have not experienced slow. Stephanie. I don't know what people are talking about. Slow. Yes. Where are you located?
Fresno, California.
Oh, okay. Yeah. I don't know what people are talking about slow because it's, it's. It's blowing and going over here in Houston for real. So I'm in Houston, Texas, and we. I can't. I don't have any complaints at all.
Yeah. So I'm just gonna. I mean, if they're. So I'll just take all of the jobs from them.
Okay. So where do you get most of your jobs from? Snapdocs or. Or where.
Signing order has been really big, but Snapdocs, what's the name of that one company? Coast to coast to Coast. I've been getting a lot from that.
And so this, this past week I just started doing some direct marketing. So it was pretty good. I walked into one place and the guy was like, oh, will you go to this city? And I was like, yeah. He said, hold on, let me check. And he said, oh, they just, they already assigned It. So, you know, so that just shows that it. It pays off to do the marketing. So now maybe he'll call me the next time.
Absolutely. Great job. Great job. So are the coast to coast jobs paying well?
Is it comparable?
I mean, they're ranging from between 85 and 100 for me.
Yeah, that's good.
So I wasn't there when maybe it was higher, but that's what it's been for me.
No, they, they're sometimes lower. As low as like 35, $40, but those are for packages that are just 11 pages. So. Yeah, no, that's a. That's a pretty decent price.
Yeah. Yeah, it's been pretty good.
Well, awesome.
I do it full time, so not. Not enough yet to survive on, but. But it's getting there. So it's good, huh?
What do you think it'll take for you to be able to survive on it?
I think I need to double what I'm doing now. And then I think I'll be okay. What I've done the last two months and then I think I'll be. Be okay. But like I said, once I start direct, you know, marketing and maybe picked up some more direct ones.
Yeah.
Or some direct ones that'll be good. Like tomorrow I have a. I have a signing that is from a local company, but it came through snapdocs. So hopefully that'll open some doors for using them, you know, or them using me.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Yeah. Have you started making calls for the more direct business?
Yes. So like I said, last week I went around to all the. A lot of the offices here in our area.
Started doing that. I sent some emails, but I'd rather just go and talk to them, you know, so.
Yeah, yeah.
So I'm trying. I'm starting that.
Well, all right. So do you do anything else like apostille processing, apostille process, serving, anything like that to supplement?
So I. I have not. So I. Apostille is on my list to do.
I did.
What do you call it, get ordained so I could do some wedding officiate.
Yes. That's fun.
Yeah.
I used to be a party planner or event planner, so I thought that would be good.
So.
Yeah. So right now that's it. I do a little door dashing too.
So between the two.
Okay, well, cool. I heard that thumbtack was for wedding officiant jobs.
Yes, I'm on thumbtack. I thought. I follow tech and so he talks so much about thumbtack. So I did get on thumbtack and I've gotten like Three notary jobs assignments from there.
Wow.
Doing, you know, general notary work or specialized work. And they only cost me $3 each. You know, you have to pay for the lead.
Yeah.
So they only cost me $3 and I charged 75, so I mean, it.
Was a good deal.
That'll work. Absolutely. That'll work.
Yeah. So awesome.
Yeah. Hey, and that's what it's all about. I mean, it starts somewhere. It sounds like you're doing everything that you need to do. Let me know if there's a way that I can help you get to where you're trying to go. Even if it's just kind of brainstorming. Because.
It just helps, you know.
Yeah.
It helps to be able to, to.
Bounce ideas off of other people.
Yeah. Well, it's been good. I've been on, on Clubhouse just for about a month and I mean I've been hearing a lot of people, a lot of good conversations. So. In the notary world. So that's been good.
Yes. Awesome. Great, great, great. Well, thank you for coming up. I do appreciate it.
Thank you.
Have a good evening.
You too. Hey, Miss Amy. What's going on in your world?
Oh, I gotta unmute. Oh my goodness.
Yeah.
Good evening.
It's been a busy week in my world.
We gained juice on our platform this week, Rhode island and Nebraska. So.
So that, that's been kind of going there and I'm a, you know, in. In the tune of marketing, everyone has to market and I'm about to send out 5, 000 postcards and I just scheduled radio ads for the next three months for the platform. So that's, that's kind of what I did. This, that was this weekend's agenda. So that's where I am.
How about you?
You know, I've done a lot my notary world.
Let's see, notary wise, I did some general notary work, pastel jobs and.
I've been dealing with my short term rentals quite a bit this week. It's been crazy busy. So that's an amazing thing. I'm excited and happy about that.
So. Yep.
That's all. That's all. So regarding the marketing that you're doing, who are you directing the marketing to? Is it to notaries or to who?
It's to notaries and to clients. So the postcards are to notaries, but the radio ads are to clients. So you know, since we're a hybrid platform, it's kind of a two way street there. So I split the marketing between both aspects.
Cobain. Good, Good. Good. On YouTube. We have a question. How much do you say a good amount to make per week is.
To be full time? So it depends, number one, on how. On how. How much you need to be able to pay your bills. I mean, if you think of it as, let's say that's $10,000 a month, right?
So.
So $10,000 a month is you need to make, I believe, $500 a day per day.
If I'm not, if I remember correctly, $500 per day, five days a week.
How do you do that? It's five notary jobs, or five general notary jobs, or five signing jobs, or even freaking two apostille jobs. That's 500 a day.
So you get to $500 a day, five days a week, $10,000 a month. Does that make sense?
My dog is in there losing her mind. Hey, latasha. Okay, so, miss you. Ms. Shanola said she'd like to make two to 3,000. So you take that two to 3,000. Ms. Shanola, let me do it on a sheet of paper.
Let's say 3,000. $3,000 per month.
Divided by one month is.
You don't want to work every day. So I think it's. How many days without the weekends?
I can't remember. But one. My God. Dang it. I can't remember that offhand. I'll just say 30 days.
Really? The idea is to create an average that you need to sustain your lifestyle.
Say that one more time, Amy.
Everyone's number is going to be different.
Yeah.
So creating average that sustains your own lifestyle and that's what your goal is. So take if your goal is, I just need to make as much as what I made in my full time job. Well, then you take your full time job pay and you divide that by however many days of the week you plan to work. And then you divide that by how many signings you need or how many general notary works you need. You know, I still, you know, we're technically. Oh my gosh. Today is my one year birthday. My company has been in business for one year, but I still don't take an income from my company. I still only get money from my signings because I'm still growing my company.
I agree.
Me too.
Technically.
So I know I have to get at least $200 of signings average a day in order to be productive for myself. So now what? Tomorrow I have a refi, which is very unusual for me, and it is going to pay me 200, but I don't have Anything else on the docket for tomorrow yet. And then as the week goes, you know, I. I get different things as things go. But the idea behind it is my goal is to average $200 a day. I might get four closings in one day.
Yeah.
And so the way that I. The way that I calculated that was I took $2,000 per month.
Divided by four weeks in a month divided by five days in a week, and that equals a hundred dollars a day on average.
So you do the same thing with $3,000. $3,000 per month. And I do it, like, in this little tree form that I learned in high school. One month equals four weeks, and then.
One week is five days. I'mma see if I could put this up here on. Let me see if I could do doodle this thing.
Nope. I was trying to see if there was some type of doodle thing on here that I could like.
There isn't, so I can show y' all what I'm talking about.
Huh? I'm trying to figure out a way to f. Show you. I don't see it, but that's how I figure it out. So 3,000 divided by 20. Pretty much. So $2,000 a month, you'll need about a hundred dollars a day, which is one signing, one general notary job, maybe two. And then for 3,000, you need $150 a day.
Some days you'll make a hundred dollars. Other days you'll make two, three hundred dollars. You know what I'm saying? So I think that's what. What Amy was talking about regarding the average.
The average that you are looking for.
Okay. Hey, Thomasina, how are you? What have you been up to? Yeah, guys, we're on Clubhouse also, so please don't hesitate to come over. Oh, you did? Okay, so Amy said monthly goal divided by four weeks divided by five days in a week. That's it. Exactly. Thank you. Thank you, thank you. So if you're on. On. Let me see if I could copy that. Yep, I copied it, and I will put it on YouTube. Thank you, Amy. I appreciate that. That made that so much easier than me trying to do it myself.
Awesome, Shanola. Awesome. Awesome, awesome. Hey, June. How are you? Crystal. Y' all good today? Okay. I'm trying to put this in the chat.
Crystal, one moment.
Okay.
All right. So did anybody have a chance to check out the video that I did? I did a video today on. On all of the money that people are missing out on. It's crazy to me, man. I think I told y' all I woke up one morning, I was doing some price price comparisons in the market and just calling various notaries, and nobody would answer the freaking phone. At 8:00 o', clock, 9:00', clock, 10:00', clock, people still weren't answering the phone. I'm like, golly. I mean, if your clients are calling around that time and you still not answering the phone, you've missed out on money. And the thing is, that's kind of good because you can get, if you just answer the phone, be available. You'd make money that other notaries and notary public loan signing agents are passing up because they are not answering strange numbers.
Right?
And the number doesn't have to be strange if you use a call, a service like CallRail or Grasshopper.
One of those numbers, because it'll whisper the number. Or you can have a different ring for callers who are calling about your notary public loan signing agent, Josh. So the moral of that video was, do not miss out on money by not answering the phone. And also.
Also.
Following up with people. Make sure when you meet people at networking events, you follow up following up with title companies that you talk to. This is not a one and done type thing, man. You can't just talk to people.
One time and think that, okay, that's good, I touched basis. And you can check that off of your list. I get it. It's not easy, it's not fun. But in order to build a relationship, you have to touch bases with people more than one time. Most definitely.
The video is on YouTube. It should have came up today. It was a scheduled video. Yeah, that's up. It's called How Notaries Miss out on Money. It was the latest video that I did.
The last video that was posted on Solutions by TJ How Notaries Ms. Out on Money. And I mean, boy, that was just crazy. I did that two days in a row because I was. I was baffled. I was like, how in the world are people not answering the goddamn phone?
That's unbelievable to me. People don't want money. Crazy. So listen, keep not answering that phone. I'm gonna just go on and make all the money.
I'm gonna put a link in the chat on.
On Clubhouse.
So y' all can go and watch it whenever you have an opportunity.
I don't know if it'll allow you to click on the link, but I put it on there. Yeah, so it is. That was just something that was just crazy to me that people are not answering that dadgum phone. I'm gonna start doing more videos. I Think this week I'm gonna take time, even more time to do videos.
On various things for people who are just getting into the business or who want to get into the business and just kind of go back to the beginning.
So. Yeah.
Anybody have any questions?
I know Kanye, but see, that's the thing. So, Kanice, did you look at the video with Tony, Tony Harris Taylor, that was on my channel about networking? Because I was saying the same thing.
I ain't.
I'm horrible at it.
Horrible at networking. But I've gotten better since I have, like, a networking coach. She tells me pretty much how to start the conversations, what to say, blah, blah, blah. And it's gotten a lot better for me because it used to be terrible. It feels like it's because I'm normally going by myself, and it feels like everybody is in their own clique, and. And then I'm there looking dumb and breaking up conversations. That's how it feels. Now, that may not be true at all, but that's how it feels.
I am the complete opposite. I can walk into a room by myself, and I can strike a conversation with anyone about anything, and I can sell Eskimo ice. Okay.
Oh, wow.
You've got to be comfortable in you.
Yeah.
That's the first thing. It is not nothing to do with your business. It's you. And then you have to be comfortable in what you're talking about and not. Not sales. Pitch it, but make it a solution to something that they bring up. Then you can pitch what you're talking about without actually pitching it. And that's where. That's where most people fall in it, in that realm of I can't do it or I'm scared to do it because they don't want to look like I'm pushy kind of thing.
So say that one more. Say that one more time, Amy.
How I phrased it.
Okay.
So you've got to be confident in your own skin.
Yeah.
You've got to be confident in your own abilities to talk. You've got to be confident in the product that you're putting, pedaling, whatever it is. And then you wait for a door to open. So you strike a conversation about music or something along those lines, and you wait for the opportunity to say what you came there to say for, and then you pitch your idea. But make it a solution. You know, I've got an answer to your problem. Here's what you need to do. And let me tell you how I can make that happen.
You're telling them a solution?
Yes.
Right there.
That's good. That's really good information.
That's good. Good, good, good, good, good. That's good information.
Be confident when asking for the business. Okay.
Cooling. You know, sometimes you get into these business ventures and you're on your networking, and all you're doing is just telling them who you are. It's not about selling. And, you know, like. Like here tonight, you know, it's not about selling for me. It's about being part of the conversation.
Yes, absolutely.
Absolutely.
They're going to find out more because.
They'Re going to see that I hold.
Value and I know that I hold value, so. Yeah.
Absolutely. Well, thank you. Thank you. Thank you for that, because that's true. And I'm. I'm getting better. I really am. And for me, everything is about practice. Like, I throw myself out there. And.
Then in that last video with Tony, she also gave some ideas of exactly what you should say to get into the conversation so that you don't feel weird. And she said.
What do you do?
She said, what do you do? Where are you with doing it? And how can I help you? How can I. How can I assist you with doing that? And so when you approach somebody with open arms to be helpful, it always piques their interest, right? And a lot of times that's that There is some reciprocity in that as well.
So. Yeah. Hold on one second. Elena, they have the dog out, so stay in the other room. My little. My little niece is here. Come here, Elena. I want to show her to y'. All. She might be scared because Blue is bigger than she is. Ridiculous.
Okay. She's scared to come out, but. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's really awesome feedback. Hold on one second. I'm just looking at all of the comments.
There's another group that you can join in. It's called Toastmasters, and they help with public speaking and being able to engage. And that is a really good aspect if you struggle with creating a conversation with random people.
I was in Toastmasters long ago.
I might have to get off of the phone because these children are being. These teenagers don't want to watch the baby.
Lord have mercy. So my little niece is over here and they are act like she's getting on their nerves. Jesus Christ.
She's little. Madison, do you see me on Sunday, Funday? Do I bother you?
I don't. Hey, Latonya Robinson, I see your comment.
I'm looking forward to having you whenever you come.
Whenever you come over. So, y', all, tonight, thank y' all for joining Me, Let me see what these kids are doing with my sweet little niece. Because these teenagers, I don't trust them. I do not trust them. So I gotta make sure that they aren't being mean because they don't want to be bothered. You know how they are with my polo. Niece is 6 and they're 14 and 15 almost. Madison will be 15 May 7th, and she's looking and being. She could be real mean. So let me get my baby, y'. All. I love y' all to life. Thank y' all for joining me. Thank you for adding to the conversation station.
Hopefully I've been able to add some value with networking or something y' all got out of this video. I look forward to seeing y' all next week. It's gonna next week come. Don't forget to come because it's gonna be super duper good. I have some new stuff coming out for y' all that I'm super excited about. And make sure that you go and watch the. Watch the videos, give us some comments, let us know what your thoughts are. And if you're new to this business, I want to encourage you because, yep, you can make a full time living out of this business.
And here's my sweet Elena.
They say she looks like Amy. That's what they were saying she looks like?
Yes. Are they being mean to you?
I got it.
So that's my sweet baby. I'm. I gotta come in. Girl, you about to make me get off of Sunday Funday and go beat him up.
I don't trust those teenagers.
Me neither.
So right now, Elena, we have 26 people. Look at the camera, Say hi. Hi. We have 26 people on. We're talking about notary public loan signing agent stuff and how to make money as a notary public loan signing agent.
I'm about to start my own YouTube channel, too.
What is your YouTube channel going to talk about?
I'm gonna talk about better kid stuff.
Like what?
Like I'm gonna make. I'm gonna make things and I'm just gonna read books and stuff like that.
Okay.
And I'm gonna do behind the scenes stuff.
Oh.
Oh.
It would have been really cool if you did behind the scenes rodeo, wouldn't it? She went to the rodeo and she was with all the stars because that's where her dad is. And so she had an opportunity to see Ms. Lele. She's a Houston phenom and she had a chance to see Uncle Bun. Right. Did you see Paul Wall and all those guys?
Who's that?
There were other Rappers that were at the rodeo.
I saw the person that was their birthday.
Oh, yeah. Okay. The guy or the girl?
So that was Latoya Luckett. It was her birthday. And Paul Wall. It was his birthday as well. Yay. So we have to get her YouTube channel started.
And I've been on her mom girls getting. She amazing. You see my little baby? This. This one right here? Oh, my gosh. She has my heart. So y' all see why I was about to get off of here and go beat those kids up? Cause, oh, you know teenagers, they can be vicious.
Huh? Is that my big sister?
Which one?
Aaron. She's so nice.
Oh, she.
I'm sure she's nicer than me.
Really? Well, that's good. Good, good, good. All right, y'. All. I know y', all, like, Lord, she didn't turn the show into babysitting and everything. Okay, okay.
Lord have mercy.
You are welcome, Ms. Kanese. Let me see if I have any other.
Okay. Yeah. Behind the scenes stuff. Ms. Thomasina. Ms. Libby. Yep. We're starting early.
But she is so smart. Like, this little lady is so freaking smart. Them how old you are?
Seven.
What's your name?
Elena Reese York.
Elena Reese York. And do you have a puppy?
2.
What kind?
I have a Pocket Bully and a Yorkie poo.
Okay. What are their names?
Chico and Cupcake.
She speaks so well. She's so articulate and so smart.
She's ready to be a star. Yep. She should already be on Disney Channel or somewhere. They need to pick my baby up.
You have so much content. That's the funny thing about it. Ms. Janice says she does look like you. You have so. She does. She has so much content. See, I need to be her manager, y', all, if I had the time. This is a million dollars sitting in my lap because she just has so much content. She's fun. And then when you look at. I found all kinds of stuff that I sent her mom a while back with just, like making stuff where little kids can sit down and just make it with her on YouTube. It could be a whole big fun thing. We just need to do it.
One day we went to the Santa's Wonderland.
Really?
Did you do video? Did you take a video of it?
Yes.
That was in December, right?
Yes.
How did you like it?
I like this so much. And I saw Santa.
Did you tell Santa what you wanted?
But I had to write the note and I had a big list because I knew I was very nice and.
I was not naughty. You were not on the naughtiness. You were on the nice list. Right? Okay. Did you get what you wanted?
Yes. And Santa got me some surprise things, too.
Like what?
She. He got me encanto stuff, too.
Too funny. All right, y', all, so I'm gonna go and spend some time with my little baby since she's here.
Yeah, we're just, like, type. I said I need for her to be my manager. I know, right? She is amazing. Amazing. So Blue is in there having four fish, three cows, two babies.
