So get ready to learn something new I want to show you. For those of you who don't know how to create flyers, postcards and business cards right there in Canva, very, very easily. And I'm also going to be talking to you a little bit about my success circle. I'm sorry, my daughter.

It's full of people who are new to. Some people are new to notary. Other people have been a notary for a while. But I'm showing everybody how to get to the money. Hello. And today I really, really, really wanted to come on because a lot of people need this. And I'm ready for everybody to start really, really marketing and.

And getting their businesses going. You know, I don't know whoever said, build it and they will come. It was a damn lie. You heard me.

No, build it, market and they will come.

In this notary business, you cannot just sign up to the signing services and wait for them to call you. You cannot just hope and pray for people to know that you are in business. You have to market. And the number one thing in business is consistency. Consistency. Why don't a lot of people make it? Discipline and consistency. And I was a part of Ebony's Ebony Locks brain dump. And it was amazing, man. My dog.

She gave so much great information. Not just great information, but she gave you the tools. She gave you everything pretty much you needed. You know, I don't. She. She has gotten frustrated, so she's out of the game. But, baby, that brain dump was everything. And that's kind of what gave me the idea to come on here and show people how to create a business card and a flyer from scratch. So I'm going to get started. It's five minutes afterward, they gonna have to watch the preview. I mean, the doggone remake of this thing. So I'm going to.

Short term rental business. This is a flyer that I created for my short Term rental business. I don't think y' all can see it real good.

But. Yeah, that's that flyer. I've created my business cards in Vistaprint. I create thumbnails in here. The thumbnails that y' all saw. That's this.

This is my ebook with all of the tools that I had. 10 AI tools. So you can do a whole, whole, whole bunch of stuff in.

In Canva. And I mean, Ebony, on her brain dump, even gave us templates. You ain't even gotta think that hard, bruh. She gave us templates.

Or Instagram post or whatever. Need a notary? Mobile notary. And then you just slam your own little picture in this thing. It's real easy. It's not hard, but I'm going to show you just straight from scratch how to do it. Okay?

So all you have to do is search for your content. What do we want to do? Flyer, Postcard.

I spelled it wrong. P, O, S, T C A R D.

Business postcard. Templates.

Now, they have all kinds of templates.

And you just pick the one that you like the best. Like this one says a real estate template for a flyer. Looking for a real estate agent. That one is pretty cool. This one is for real estate also. Since we're in the notary business, we're gonna pick something that looks like that. I mean, you know, it could be along the. The real estate vein.

But, you know, you pick something that you like. I mean, I even like this one.

I'm a real estate agent and a notary, and I even like this one. So some of these, these you have to pay for, meaning when it has this pro sign.

It requires a pro subscription. If you have a pro subscription, you get it for free. If not, there's a slight charge. But let's click on this one just to see what it looks like. So it has a little house on it. Isabella, you could have notary. This actually looks like. Yeah, postcard. And then this is the back.

Right, where you can mail this out if you want to. You can add a little note. You can tell about your services.

So when you go somewhere, you can drop this off. You can. You know, there are a million things that you can do with this and have your picture right here. You can change these colors from blue and gold to something else. Some million things that you can do. But I like that one.

I really like that one. That may be the one that we use.

This one is brown and black with the person's thing in the middle. This is nice. It looks like a real estate agent, but you can even change these backgrounds. You can change everything that's on here.

So you can do it this way with.

Let's just get started. All you got to do is pick one. Now, see, that's probably the hardest part for me is picking a doggone template. Oh, I like this one. We're using this one. Isn't that pretty? And then just put your picture there.

Why choose us? Love it, man. This is it. Okay, so then you just click on customize template.

And once you click on customize Template, you'll see all of these others over here. So more templates will still come up, and you can continue looking. And it's just that simple. So my business is my business. Colors are actually black and gold. Let's go to my website real quick.

Greater Houston Mobile Notary Apostille. And my gold is like a metallic gold, but that's my color for my website and everything.

These are my services. See how that's gold?

So if I wanted to keep in line with my brand, I made this website. And I don't know why, it's looking a little weird. I made it on.

Squarespace real easy. Another template.

But if I want to keep in line with my brand, then I would actually make this little section I would edit. Let's see if I can change the color.

I have my brand kits, and that's from my actual website.

But I can scroll down.

And see if there's another color that's close closer.

Or I could use one of these colors as a brown. I could use that color gold. But my color really ain't yellow, so I might just make it black and white. I'm not sure if I want to see the hex. This number right here is called a hex code. I'm gonna take these bangles off because they getting on my nerves. I don't know if y' all could hear them. They on my arm. And I was real cute today. Y'. All real cute. But these that gum bangles, baby. On this live about to drive me to drink. Okay, so type in hex code for.

And it gives you this number. So.

So then I'd need to take this back to a pink in order to make this work.

And then that took out something in the middle too.

And then I think, I do think I'm gonna turn these back pink.

Because that pink look better. You see how you get into this and you just start playing with it? It ain't gonna break. You're not gonna break it.

You just start playing with it and see what looks best to you.

And roll with it from there. Now I made that one longer. I'm gonna make this one longer to kind of connect.

And that's good enough.

Okay. Then I'm gonna put my business name.

Control A to get all of the rest of that stuff out of there. I just press Ctrl A, Greater Houston Mobile Notary and Apostle S T I L L E.

And I don't like the way that looks. So of course I'm gonna do a little bit something to it.

And I'm going to put real estate.

And since that didn't fit, I'm going to make it a little smaller.

Because I wanted to. I want real estate agents to fit on one line, notary to fit on the other. And I want the spacing between my things to be just a little bit more.

And this is your tagline. We help your business to be recognized by customers and to grow better. So. So my tagline is.

You can use it to write. Just. You could use it for a million. You can create a whole computer program off of just this. So I'm gonna say.

You come over here. If you want a postcard, you type in postcard. If you want to create a flyer that you're going to leave at various businesses you create. You type in flyer. I'm just typing in postcard. You can also create business cards. So when you type something in there and click Enter, it'll give you all of these different templates. And you basically just plug and play into these templates. They've done all the hard work for you. So I saw one that I really liked, and I believe that you should use your picture because people remember that. So this is one that I like. This plain and simple, ain't even tripping. This is the page y' all got stuck on. Diggity dog. Yeah.

So I'm gonna use this template.

And put my colors and my face into it.

So I'm. That's the first. My first order of business is to change this picture and I'm going to put my face. Why you ain't just gonna do what I asked you to do now? Okay, delete.

Yeah. And when you hover over it, it automatically goes in there, which I like that. Now, I. If you want to change the colors, these are my brand colors. I like pretty vivid colors. I could make that a yellow, but.

I don't really want to.

And then you can just add, you know, your website, your phone number. This is probably Instagram. If you have a physical address, you'd add it there and then your web address.

I probably scoop this up. And so I went to ChatGPT. The first thing that I did, and I was asking it for a tagline so that I wouldn't have to think of a tagline. So all I said was.

Sending your information via email to signing companies, that's a hell of a tagline. Y' all can steal it. Let me put it in the chat.

And this is my actual logo. I can delete that.

Of course, I gotta make it much, much smaller.

So whatever text you feel is unnecessary, just remove it. This your thing. You get to create the thing however you want to.

So that's the guy for my. That makes my logos. And he is amazing. He made some heck of a logos for me. I really like him. He's not on. Y' all can click that link and make sure it goes to him.

But as you can see, I mean, I got him like, for all kinds of stuff. He made my logo. He made my business card.

He made my logo for my short term rental business. Let me see if I could show you.

He's the man for that. Oh, and I was telling y'. All. So my gold. My colors are black and gold for notary. So I. I normally just use black and gold, but I couldn't figure out what color gold that was. So you can go over to Google and type in hex code. H E X code code for gold.

Hex code for gold. I also have this little dropper thing that I can click on this and then go to, like, a gold color.

On my website and it'll give me the hex code. Like, it'll match the colors for me for my website and for.

Whatever else I want to use it for. So I can actually match these colors if I wanted to.

So then I would just copy this. Control A, just copy that one, Control C, and then go to Canva. And then say, for instance, I want to change this blue or just yellow.

I click on this yellow.

And then I click on the one with the multiple colors and do Control V. And you see how I changed it. Now, of course, that's a little darker than I want it to be, but.

It gives me. It gets me in the range. So now I can move this thing.

And as I move it. See how it lightened it up?

Okay, so you can change the colors to be whatever you want them to be. That's the gist of it. It could be darker. It could be lighter. It could be like a vanilla color. And if you want to undo something, you just click up here and it gets you back to what you were doing previously.

So all of it is that color.

So, yeah, this would. This would be it for that. For my postcard. Front and back. Already done. That's it. Of course, I'd have to remember to change my name.

My mama gave me the longest name in the universe.

Okay, there you go. That's it. You done with your postcard.

Now? Like I said, you can go to templates over here. Go to design. It's the same as on the front of the. On the front of the thing. Search postcard templates. And you could say notary again.

We couldn't find any templates for notary.

But we did find elements for notary. So you see the stamps and all of that stuff? Let's see.

See, that was real cute. I could have left that. That was the one that I did last time.

And I like the way that one looks as well. But these are just templates that you can use for your.

For your postcard or your business card. It says notary public business cards. You can use any of these. And it's the same exact procedure.

You can. I mean, I even like that one. You can choose something simple. You can choose something abstract. It just goes with your taste. But all you're doing is changing little elements of it.

And you can just make it your own until it's something that you like. Or you can get rigorous, you know, rigor in fiverr to do it for you. This is the cheap way to do it. Rigger gonna charge you. Shoot. How much did he charge? I don't even remember. I think it was $100 for all of my stationary for my logo. Only.

It wasn't that much.

See, I don't even remember how much he charges. You know, you start ordering from people, they go up.

I know some sites, too. You could do your own logo.

Yeah, you can. You can. It's just easy on Canva. It's real.

He's pretty quick. When I tell you it's professional and it's crisp. He has over 10,000.

So just to give you guys a little background, I have a success circle mastermind where I'm taking people and giving my own good, personal time to take y' all from where you are now to living your dreams out, really, to using this notary business to propel you to whatever lifestyle you want, meaning using this as a stepping stone. Because, notary, you know, one thing that I don't want is to create a whole nother business for myself. While I'm having to work all the.

Time.

I want to create something where I'm doing what I want to do.

Wherever I want to do it, when I want to do it. Because when you're doing what you want to do, it doesn't really feel like work. And so when I'm dealing, when I'm. I'm helping y', all, it doesn't feel like work to me. So it feels like I've created my own colleagues and we all working together for a common goal. And I like that. And so tell us where you are right now. Are you a notary?

I am a notary. I'm just getting started with trying to expand the notary business. You gave me a homework assignment to set up my Google page.

You Said to sign up with signing agencies. You said to do a website.

Right? You don't have to do a website. You don't have to. You can just have your Google business page if you want to.

So those are the few things you gave me a week to start to do.

So when we meet. So in the success circle, I do one on ones with everybody to find out where you are, who you are, where you are. Now, are you a notary? Have you been a notary?

Where are you? Because my goal is to get you to making money as quickly as possible. So with Ms. Lasagna, she's already a notary. I want her to sign up with some signing agencies and create. Create a postcard. Ms. Sonia, I just showed you how to do it.

And. And Ebony gave us the great idea to every day pass out five postcards. I don't care if you're at Kroger. I don't care. You know, standing in line with people, you do gas station, just start leaving postcards everywhere you go.

Everywhere you go, leave a freaking postcard.

And so that's why it was real important for me to show y' all canva and keep it as simple as possible.

To me, I kind of made my little thing look ugly because I changed a lot. It looked a lot more professional before I started fooling with it. So maybe I'd probably just change my picture in it and leave the colors or something, because they've already created a very professional looking postcard. And the more I start messing with it, the less professional it started looking. So keep it simple.

I think it looked better when you had your full body instead of just the headshot.

Think so. I think the colors kind of messed it up. It got too colorful or something. I don't know what it is.

Match it up with what you have on too. You don't want too many colors clashing.

So Ms. Lasagna, what do you think of the success circle so far?

I like it. I mean I'm learning different things. I just gotta implement some things that you gave me.

Even with the Google business page, what I've been telling my folks is to, you know, go to the county clerk's office and make that a part of your make. Get a DBA for it so that if Google questions you about it, you will have the card to match it. You can say yeah, this is really my business name and you can send that to them.

So right now we have started out with, I'm getting y' all to start the foundation of making money. So we gonna get all of our marketing stuff together. We gonna have our Google business page. The next step is to start creating posts in for our Google business page.

And passing out our flyers and signing up with the notary signing agent, notary signing companies and calling them get on some type of schedule. Then when that money starts coming in for the notary work and we get solid, I'm. I'm thinking we're gonna give ourselves, we're gonna do a good 60 day push on marketing. 60 days.

And just be consistent.

Because I believe if you stay on them signing companies, you'll get some work if you Stay on and keep on doing what you need to do. You'll definitely get some work.

So with the signing companies, are you sending emails all the time? Are you calling or going by? How is that?

And I work in a legal department.

So I wanted to figure out a way that I could charge the company under my business.

Well, then you could come back as a woman owned small business.

No, they'll wind up using another notary in the office.

It's a way to do it.

If anything is is giving me training, then I know. I know how to do it.

Yeah.

Because I've been notary since 2015, and I've been doing it ever since.

Man. But you gotta do it for yourself, right?

Right, right. Every time somebody come and ask me notarize something, I gotta add it to you about it.

Why?

Because I don't charge them.

Why? Oh, at work? Well, yeah. So that's why we're gonna get you some business outside of work.

And I work from home like two days a week. I mean through. I work in the office two days a week. So when I'm not there, they'll send me an email. Hey, Sonia, are You in the office. I need something notarized. I'm like, nope, I'll be back next week. And they wait until I come back.

That's all right. We gonna. We gonna get to using that thing. And you are gonna enjoy being a notary because you're gonna make money doing it.

That's what I need to do.

We're gonna start marketing. And yeah.

That'S. That's what it is. But outside of notary, like, what else do you enjoy? What. What are your skills? Do you like cooking? Do you like children? Do you like cleaning?

I like cooking. I like traveling.

Kids? No, my kids are grown. I had my grand for three weeks, and I don't think I could do it again.

I mean, having them and working at the same time. I mean, I'm on calls, and they're coming, interrupting me, and it's just too much. I have to be on vacation. I can't have them. And I have to work too.

Yeah.

Yeah, that's the thing.

So you like cooking and you like traveling. Anything else?

Nope. That's my main thing.

And I want to make money. I need to make money to travel.

I want you to make money traveling.

If you enjoy traveling, why not make money traveling? I know.

What have you thought about doing in the travel industry to make money? Like, do you plan trips for you and your friends?

I do. I actually do. I was actually a travel agent also.

How did that go?

I got annoyed with that too. Why try to do it more so, like, family now? Because when I was doing it before, you know, you do all this research for people, and then they wind up going with somebody else, you know, or. Or we're not gonna do it. It was just more. So I'm on a computer all day, so to come home and researching for everybody, you know, wanting to go here and go there and then they go with someone else. It. It was just, don't waste my time. So I got out of that. So I still do it, but I just have. I do it really for family and friends. That's it.

Do you charge them?

Well, I get paid when they travel, so I'm with another group. So when they travel, then I get paid, but it's the work up front, so you have to book and actually make the trip. And then I get paid after you travel.

So do you like looking up really good trips? Like, do you just for no reason, research? Oh, that's a live trip. And put together, like, a whole trip.

I do that If I want to go somewhere, like, I wanted to go to Madrid, and so I'm putting together a girls trip, and I'll say, hey, you know, I'm going on a such and such trip. And then whoever wants to go, they can come, and then they'll say, oh, I want to go, and I'll book their information. So I do it like that. If I'm going on a trip, most of my friends want to go.

I like that. I like that. But you can, you know, they do that on social media and post trips with the whole itinerary, and you can have like a tour guide and all of that stuff.

Yep.

I'd recommend that. But that means that you got to get social, you know what I'm saying?

Right, right, right.

You got to get on social media and you got to be consistent, or you can get on tick tock, like, tick tock, you can win easy.

Right.

You'll be looking for good trips.

And I was a realtor, too.

Why'd you stop that?

I was in New Jersey when I was a realtor, and when I moved to Atlanta, I didn't. I didn't renew. I just stayed in. In active status. So I never renewed here in Atlanta. So in New Jersey, when I was working, it was easy for me to leave, to go to closings, to show a house. In Atlanta, my job was too demanding and everything is so spread out. I didn't. I couldn't do it here. I'd have to. I'd have to dedicate more time. My job was too demanding for me to do it here.

Yeah, but what time do you get off?

I get off at 5. And then sometimes it's. I can go beyond that. Depends what the attorneys need. And, you know, different. It's. Yeah, my job can go beyond. Beyond that.

Yeah.

It wouldn't be fair to somebody who's looking for a house, and I can't commit the time to them.

So I didn't renew here. But I thought about it.

Well, if you like the travel thing, I want you to do what you love to do.

And I want. That's the business. So we. We're picking a business of something that we love to do. If you love to travel and you travel anyway. Mm. Put together some big old trips.

You ain't even gotta go on a trip. You just plan the trip.

Whenever I do that, everybody thinks I'm going.
