$unDay FunDay Notary Signing Agent Q&A

This is a YouTube livestream by TJ (Solutions by TJ) in which TJ mixes personal updates (pet in heat, uncle Milton Hopkins in ICU) with practical advice for notaries and apostille providers. He discusses hiring an interpreter for Spanish-speaking clients, pricing in the apostille market (typical and low-end), training/resources (Apostille Domination, Death Row Notary), marketing tactics (Google Business, calling signing companies, networking with real estate agents), and schedules a Houston in-person meetup (State Fair off I‑10 West). The tone is conversational, mentoring, and community-focused.

Go. Hey, this is TJ with solutions by tj. Thank y' all so much for coming this evening. All right, so as usual, we have a lot to talk about.
I'm sorry if my energy is a little bit low tonight. It's a lot going on. Blue is behind me. Running from Madison, from a shoe. Lord Jesus.
She has worn me out today. She has worn both of us out today.
She's in her first heat cycle, Lord Jesus. And so.
She's so smart. She is so smart. Oh, my God. And we got her this new little collar. She got a new little pink collar. She keeps running to her mama. That lady there, boy. So we've been having to change diapers and all kinds of stuff all day. Take the meat with you.
So we've been having to change diapers and all kinds of stuff all day. And I want y' all to pray for me too. My uncle Milton. Milton Hopkins is.
Currently in ICU.
In. In Houston. So, you know, I was headed over there.
And I just got heavy, man. And I'm still feeling kind of heavy. So pray for me. Whoever is here. It looks like we have one person here. Let me know. Hey, Shayna. How are you? Is it blurry on your end? Because I've been seeing some of my lives. When I go back and look at it, they're kind of blurry. So is this clear for you? Is it a clear screen? Is it pixelated? Does it look like I'm in the matrix?
Y' all know I'm goofy, but I'm tired, man. I'm trying to get it up. Okay, so is it good or no? Is it pixelated? What does yes mean?
Because it's on the raw Internet data plugged in. No, it's good. Okay. Awesome sauce. So.
Yeah, man, I am. I'm gonna need yalls help tonight. If not, I ain't gonna be on here long. I'm gonna go and take my bath and go my black butt to bed because I am tired.
It's been a long day. And you know what? When I was on my way to the hospital to visit my uncle, look him up. He's a famous blues artist. His name name is Milton Hopkins. He's in the Blues hall of Fame. He's been inducted in the Blues hall of Fame. And.
I just started getting tired. And it seems like when I got in that hospital, I got weak. And by the time I left, I was just needing a nap for real. I mean, if I don't know, what about that energy?
Thank you, Shayna. No worries.
Thank you. For joining me. Even though you're on your way to work, girl. I appreciate it. So all the people who are on Facebook that are here, come on over to YouTube. It's a better experience over here. We can talk back and forth and I want to hear what you have to say. I want to hear how your Sunday is going, how your week went and all of that. Hey, Santia, thank you so much. Thank you for sending love. I appreciate it. I need it. You know, one of the things that sucks about being single is when you need a hug, you can't get one. It's a difference. I mean. Well, you know, I was about to say maybe I could get a hug from the little girl, but she funny acting. Oh, that lady don't want nobody to touch up, so I can't even get a hug from her.
But it is well. It is well.
Yeah.
So I am going to go to sleep as soon as I can.
What's going on with y'? All? Cynthia, what's been up with you? You have so many new businesses. What's going on? Have you done any mystery shopping? How's the notary business going for you? How is everything working out?
So for me, this week, I hired.
I hired someone to be an interpreter for me. I have. I've had several calls from Spanish speaking clients needing a postil and notorial services. And I. Hey, listen, if I can't understand what you're saying, I can't take the job. So I don't like passing up money.
And.
Yeah. Oh, wow. Santia said I've been getting so many Apostille clients lately, I've started calling a friend to teach her so she can take my clients. Yay, you. Oh, my God, you are such a ray of light, man. God just blames beams on you because you are that rail light, man. And I'm happy that things work out so well for you, Santia. That is amazing. Now, are you getting your money? Are you charging? Because I've been doing some market research in Houston, and the base rate.
Most people are charging 195 for one page. The cheapest I've seen is 175.
So are you charging and have you done your market research? Don't mess the market up charging too cheap of a price. Make sure that you see what other people's. What other people are charging so that you can, you know, keep the prices up and going.
175 for one page. That's what I'm talking about.
I love it.
And you know what else I love, man? I love it. So, Golly that. And just think, there are people who have taken the course who haven't even started doing it yet. And you're getting a lot of these $175 jobs. So many that you got to give them to somebody else. And, baby, that's what I'm talking about. I love it. I love it. I love it. So, Cynthia, what is the one thing that you think? How do they find you? What. What type of marketing are you doing to attract those people? Is it just your Google business page, or do you do more?
That is good. So.
Santia is in North Carolina, I believe.
I think she's in North Carolina, if I'm not mistaken.
It's scary, but the Secretary of State will walk you through everything step by step. Okay. She's in Graham, North Carolina.
And you know what? Once you do it, is it scary, though? Because it's not even that scary once you do it. That's the funny thing about.
Ain'T even that scary once you do it.
And I've been doing them, and, man, I'm. I'm appreciative that we have this opportunity that, you know, we learned about it. So. God is good.
Yeah. When you have questions about an apostille, you can call your secretary of state and they help you through it. You said the first two scared me, but you good now, and that's with everything. I mean, that was my first signings, too. The first two, I was scared to death. I was nervous. But then after I got through those first two, I was petrified. The first one. The second one, I was better, but I was still a little nervous. The third one, I was like, oh, I got this. I got this. So it's like that, but I think with everything new that you're trying to do.
By the third one, you. You got it. You got a down pack.
Adorn mp, how are you?
What you up? What are you up to? How was your week?
And Shayna said that she's on her way to work.
Anybody else that's over on Facebook, come on over to YouTube so you can talk to us. I want to see what y' all have to say.
Good, good, good, good. I'm glad that you are good. I had some really good calls this week, some super good strategy sessions with a lot of people.
The number one thing that I think.
Adorn mp, have we had a strategy session yet?
If not, let me get that calendar link for y' all.
So that y' all can set it up.
And we can plan.
But most of the strategy sessions were, you know, we did a lot of role playing. It was mainly people.
Who are wanting to get more business who are already signing agents, or people who are just getting into the business.
Who are wanting to. Hey, Shy 300 and Oswald. How y' all doing? There's my calendly link. If you want to schedule a strategy call.
Get no less than four calls per week for Apostille jobs. December and January has been great. Awesome.
Yay.
I'm using my credit union adorn mp, but I'm gonna switch. I'm gonna go to a big name bank as well. I just haven't decided.
Oswald, what's going on with you this evening? Oh, you're preparing your docs for tomorrow.
I get it. Look at you.
I'll prepare. Not prepared. Prepared and everything.
That's what I'm talking about.
Awesome.
Awesome, awesome. I'm happy for you, Santia. That is good. So, Santia saying that I asked her a few minutes ago what type of marketing does she do? And she said, I set up a Google business page the way you told us and I'm only advertising on Google, so. Are you running Google Ads? Cynthia? She gets no less than four calls per week for Apostille jobs. December and January have been great.
I don't know what the CU means. Adorn P. I was thinking of this. Oh, credit union.
Yeah, I've had my. My account. My mother is a teacher, so I've had my account with First Educators Credit Union since I was shooting. Since I was.
15, I've been on her account. And then I just got my account and I've never gotten off of the credit union.
You're in the process of interviewing someone like me to teach a friend the business? Okay.
What does that interview process look like and why. Why don't you just send them to me?
What's. What. What's that question? Oswald.
Schedule a. Schedule a strategy call. The link is. Is up above in the chat.
Yeah. So the credit union has been good to me, but.
For business credit purposes. And I can't remember, something else happened this weekend and somebody told me I needed to get with the bigger banks. It seemed. Oh, okay. So going after military.
Oh, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. Going after military contracts. I'm going through a company called ptac. The URL is aptac.com, i believe. Or just look up ptac.
Hold on, let me take you to it so you can see it.
Because I don't want to get it wrong.
I think it's aptac.
Yep, that's it. Help for government contracting. APTAC Association.
That Gummet. What does it stand for?
Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers. Yep, that's it.
So.
So yeah, that is. That is what I've been doing. They told me to get a. Because the credit union, they need an ach. When you're getting your cage number, they tell you to get a phone number for that goes directly to the third party ACH vendor that your bank is using. And my bank said they didn't have one. They just kept giving me the main number and they were like. He was like, yeah, you need to get with bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, one of the bigger banks.
You know what? I' ma sleep good tonight. I just feel it in my soul. I am ready to go to sleep too.
Toshira. Yay.
We have a meeting.
I have not done a short term renters course just yet. But whatever you want, sweetheart, you got my number. If you need anything, just call me. Text me first because I'm on and off of the phone. But you know I'm always willing to talk to you about whatever you need. So hesitate to reach out to me if. If that's something that you're thinking about doing. Hey, Jennifer, how are you? Thank you for joining us this evening.
Cynthia, you're gonna get a short term rental. Baby, you are doing it. I love it, I love it, I love it.
I need to get my old chair back. It was more comfortable than this one. I was trying to get something comfortable.
So what else do y' all have going on this week, Oswald? You. You. I sleep too much. Shut up, Oswald. I do not sleep too.
I talk about. You sleep too much.
You kill me.
Oh, my God. I don't sleep too much as well. I'm tired. No, I don't. I'm not about to argue with you over YouTube. Okay? I don't sleep too much.
Okay, maybe. No, I don't sleep too much.
Sleep. Oh, Oswald. You know what? Okay, so you talk about. Oswald said you speak about sleeping all of the time.
So you know how some people drink, some people smoke weed. I go to sleep. Hello. That is my drug of choice. Sleep, rest.
I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't do any. I go to sleep. That's my way of escape. And today my spirit is drained. So guess what? I want to go to sleep.
That's not progressive.
All right, so, Oswald, what. What's. What do you do when you. When you. When you need an escape, when you just have had enough?
Cynthia, I can mentor you on the short Term rental stuff. Adorn P. So does the.
What is the. So you adorn P. I don't know what these acronyms are. Have rules on doing apostilles and if so where do I find that info? Are you saying a secretary of State.
I can't. I'm not good with that.
There are rules for doing it. We have a whole training on.
On just that. Let me find that training for you.
Because you can go to the Secretary of state's website, type in apostille, but they don't. Of course they don't teach you.
The ins and outs that. That you really, really need to know.
They only give you certain information.
Gary, you. You, you. You thinking I'm way too.
Hold on, let me see what type of noise Oswald is up here talking about.
And then shot 300 laughing at me.
Why you gonna leave that convo alone? Now you on me about sleeping Oswald talking about that's not progress.
Really so adoring P. I didn't. I don't think I got hit with a 5G. It didn't do anything to my phone. What did you notice?
You say you said messed your phone up.
And and Oswald, why am I watching YouTube videos of the NNA 2020? What is that going to do.
That Oswald said the bottom line for Apostilles is you have to initially invest if you're serious about doing apostilles. Pretty much because it's, you know, some things just aren't all the way common sense.
You gonna leave which part alone? The part about how do you de stress? Do you drink? Do you smoke? What you do you say you're gonna leave that alone? I go to sleep. You hating on me going to sleep. I ain't bothered nobody by going to sleep.
Oh wow.
Girl, I'm glad. What kind of phone do you have? Adorn P. Adorn mp.
Oh, Oswal is talking about invest in some type of training or course I put my link up there if you're interested in that one.
We also have a payment plan if you need it.
Team Android. So maybe yeah, I have an iPhone.
I don't know. I haven't realized anything different.
I have not realized anything different.
Other than I'm look. Oh I saw talking about you always talking about you sleeping.
I'm a married man of seven years. Figure it out.
Okay.
That can go one of two ways. You know Oswald. It can go a good way, it could go a bad way. I'll take it as good.
Okay. Hey Jennifer, you said I've taken all classes but you.
What Is wgy.
What does that mean?
Jennifer? What does wgy mean?
Y' all in these acronyms? Gonna send me to Jesus today.
Is this a new pastel program? Because I took the one. I do have a new one also. No, the one. The link that I shared is the one with Judy.
But we have one with Sean, with Death Row Notary that I'm about to post, and that one, we go through the documents.
So.
Why not? Okay.
Okay. Yeah. So, Jennifer, I put two different links up. One is Apostille Domination. One with Judah Judy Lawrence, and the other is with Sean of Death Row Notary. Both of them are amazing. They were good.
They were really good.
Oh, thank you. Yeah, I put the links in the. In the. In the chat.
Thank you. Thank you.
So, Jennifer, I believe in the Box of Rocks method, meaning I want everything to be four dummies. Like a fifth grader can do it. I want to.
I want. So both of them have payment plans. If you click on the link and go down, there's a PayPal you can pay with PayPal credit. And that. That payment is over time versus having to pay it all at once.
So, yeah, like I was saying, I believe in the Box of Rocks method where a fifth grader can do it. I love things that are super simple and easy. Right. I don't want to be trying to figure it out or you skip a step and I'm like, what do you mean? No? I want A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
So that's how my programs are situated. And. And we make sure as a collective, as a family, that we get to that point, because at the end, we always ask these amazing questions. And I think that's what made.
The Apostille Domination 1.0 with Ms. Judith Lawrence so special, was that when.
Hold on, I'll. I'll give y' all both of the links one more time.
That's what made it so special with Judy, because when we got to the end, you know, everybody was asking different questions to make sure just to check our understanding. So I just put both links in there to check our understanding. And, boy, I mean, we got such clarity from being wrong. We got more clarity from being wrong than we did by being right. Isn't that something?
All right.
Yay, Santia. Awesome. I'm proud of y'. All.
Kill it. Kill it. I just put the links in there. Jennifer, do you see them now? I like your last name. Delicio.
Awesome.
Awesome, awesome. So, Oswald, what was your week like this last week?
Inquiring minds want to know.
What was Your week beta.
Somebody just emailed me about.
A meetup.
Okay. Oh, so I forgot to tell y' all Houston peeps, if you are here, we are meeting this coming. And I'm. Dang. Let me put that in my thing. The Houston meetup. We are meeting at State fair off of I10 this coming Saturday at noon. State Fair off of I10 West. At noon.
I'm send out an email.
Putting it in my to do list. Send out. Send email.
For this coming Saturday.
And the place is called State fair off of I10 West.
I think y' all are gonna like it. I like the restaurant.
Oh, awesome.
You like? Hey, shot 300. Have you ever been to state Fair? Oh, my. I've never been, but my cousin brought food home and it was so good. And Rita Allen mentioned it when I, I told her, you know, we were all gonna meet, so.
Hey, Jennifer, so how long have you only gotten minimum signings?
Has it. Has it always been that way.
Or did this just start?
And I'm putting. Also, Jennifer, I just put a link in the chat. Do me a favor and let's talk. Let's, let's, let's do a strategy call so that we can. So that I can help you get where you want to be. 30 minute strategy call.
Absolutely free.
Hey, demetria.
Got it, got it, got it. So for the companies that you signed up with.
Do you contact them on a regular basis and ask them for jobs? Like who? The companies that you've already worked with that know your level of. Of accuracy that like, you do, you contact them at least once a week. Well, I'm so don't. You know, I. I'll contact you every day until you start sending me jobs regularly. And I'll contact you enough where you know my name and everybody in that office knows my name. And they'll be talking like, hey, tj, how on what is Madison up to? That's the level of relationship that you need to get with these people so that they can start sending you jobs.
That's how it goes. And so it also depends on the signing companies that you are signed up with. Are you with Amrock Signing Order?
Oh, it was another one that just. I'm talking. It just left my mind completely.
Oh, girl, you gotta be bold. You have to be. Yeah.
You do. You have to. You should call them and ask them for work.
Bank serve, but there's another one with something.
Local in it. There's a.
You're with Snapdocs and certified signing order is another one.
Signature Closers is good.
And there's a whole list. If you go to Facebook and look up solutions by TJ Notary Networking and Knowledge, you'll see a whole list of different companies for you to sign up with. Yeah. Expand your search from just. From just snapdocs as well, because signing order sends out a lot of jobs. Service link sends out quite a few jobs.
Yeah, signature closers. I get stuff from them all the time. Bank serve Amrock. So expand that too. And when you sign up with these companies, don't just sign up. Call them, talk to them, let them know who you are and that you're hungry for work.
Okay, so you're with all of, all of those as well. Absolutely. And that should help. And then, I mean, you know, do you have any friends who are real estate agents? Because I was telling some people this week during the strategy calls, I was like, you know how Michelle Obama said, when they go low, we go high? I say, when they go left, I go right. Hello. Which means most people are trying to get direct business from the title companies. Well, who brings the business to the title company? 9 times out out of 9 is the real estate agent. They make the referral for the title company.
So why don't you start stopping by.
Brokerage firms, introducing yourself and letting them know what you do and asking for their business? We offer a luxury service where people don't have to leave their jobs, don't have to leave their kids. You can do it on your own time in whatever location you want. I'm there and you can get this over with.
Yep.
Yep, yep, yep.
That is awesome. So you already have friends in the, in the business who are real estate agents. And even if they don't, you know, sometimes.
Tell these people to put their face on their business cards. That's true. Putting your face on your business cards helps people to put a name with a face.
That is very, very true.
Very, very true. So when somebody looks at it, they'll say, oh, okay, I remember this person. Yeah, there's a reason for putting a name with the face.
Yep.
Yep, yep, yep.
So should you. What, Oswald?
What do you mean?
I love it when you on here, Oswald. You be talking so much noise.
Even though I'm about to go to sleep. I had coffee and don't you tell me, go get some coffee. I've had coffee. Oswald. I've had a rough day today, okay?
For one, I've been changing blues diapers. It feels like every dog on hour. My God. And it's a full fight. You heard me. Not, Not a small Fight. A full out and out.
She don't want me to touch her. Fight.
Yeah.
I agree. I agree 1000%.
Putting your face on your business cards.
I'm gonna have to find this lady. Okay? They have all kind of.
All kind of stuff. I totally agree though.
Yes, Lord. All right, y'. All, I'm. Oh. Oh, Oswald. How does she become fidelity approved? I don't think I'm fidelity approved. So can you tell us how do we become fidelity approved?
Because I'm not there yet.
I couldn't. Oswald. I couldn't take a nap. I wanted to, but I told you you were not on here when we first came on. My. My uncle is in the hospital. So I went to the hospital around 4.
And it just drained me.
I don't know if I'm physically drained, emotionally drained, I don't know, but I'm drained. Oswald. God dang it.
Leave me alone.
I don't know why I'm drained, but I am.
Shoes.
Do I train on Ron?
No. I send everybody to Sean with death row notary to train on Ron. Related stuff.
Yeah, he does most of that.
But I'm. Listen, I just did a video.
Today. I did a video talking about. Thank you. Thank you. Shot 300. I did a video today talking about how I had the biggest fight because I lost the freaking password for my digital certificate and had to replace it. And when you have to replace it, that means that you have to go on notarized and replace it there too and wherever else you have them. I tell you, honey, I. Baby.
It was a lot. It was a lot. Sway. Way too much.
Yes, I was cussing. Oh, I was so Goddard mad because. And since I. Because.
So there are two passwords. When setting the thing up, I could not remember.
I could not remember the doggone passwords. And which one was which.
Jennifer, where are you located? What city and state? Hey, Chloe.
And I think I kind of. Because I touched my uncle and I was giving him some of my energy. But I started feeling drained on the way to the hospital. I don't know what that was about.
Oh, that. Losing that password girl. It was a mess. So I did a step by step video on what to do in every single screen that you'll run across. Oh, you're in Colleen. Awesome. Okay, so you are not far from where Lashawn is. Hey, Ms. Rushing. How are you? All right, Ms. Rushing. We are meeting.
You think Colleen, you can come too. This coming Saturday at state fair at noon. The restaurant. State fair off of I10 West. Look it up. State Fair off the Katy Freeway.
I gotta get this dog some more. Dog on diapers, y'. All. This is too much.
Yep, yep, yep. So y' all come on out.
I do. I, I. So I don't host a lot of clubhouse meetings, but I am on clubhouse. I go to Renee Denman's on Wednesday mornings. But yeah, I do do clubhouse meetings.
Demetria. So I thought I had it and couldn't find a goddamn thing on my phone. So what I did this time is I created. You know how you have notepad on your computer? I had to label it password1 and password2. And all of the stuff for my digital certificate is within that notepad. Clubhouse Jennifer is an app, and it's an app on iPhone and Android. It's in both places now, but they have a lot of, A lot of good information. Some of it is garbage. It was, you know.
You go through it and, and.
You know, it's. It's some good stuff.
Some good stuff.
Sent you an email about the issue regarding my membership states. Please advise when you get a chance.
Okay, I will.
There are so many freaking passwords.
So freaking many.
Janice, you emailed me. I wonder when you emailed me.
I'll look it up though.
Can you not access it, Janice? Because I can send you a temporary.
Way to access it just in case.
I'll do that anyway. I'll text it to you.
I'm getting it now. I know. I'm sitting here with my mouth open, looking like my little cousin.
Then Oswald, making fun of people.
A password cheat sheet.
I had a virtual secretary, Oswald, and I'll hire another one when the time comes that I need it. I don't necessarily feel like I need it. Need it right now. I'm not overwhelmed with work.
So that extra 500amonth just isn't worth it to me.
Okay.
I'll. I'll look for your email then, Janice.
I'll look for your email. Yeah. So that extra. So for a virtual assistant, that extra $500. Just how much do you pay for a virtual assistant, Oswald? Because for what I needed, it was about. I mean, the cheapest that I found was about $500.
However.
That was full time versus part time.
Okay, good night, Jennifer. Thank you for joining us. And please do schedule a strategy call too so that we can get you more job.
I have last pass.
On my computer and for whatever reason, last pass did not save that freaking password.
No, Oswald, you brought it up. I do want to know.
Good night.
Jennifer. I want to know how much you pay for a Virtual assistant, Oswald, you brought it up. So tell me.
And you know who I use? I'm gonna show you. I get educated labor.
So where do you get your virtual assistant from, Oswald? God dang. You don't pay nothing?
Your wife does it for you or something?
Oh, Anita. Anita, you use Dash Lane for your password management.
Okay, I can change that for you.
Janice. I'll. Let me make sure I do that.
Okay. Gotcha.
Oh, that's awesome.
That is amazing, Oswald. That is really good. You got somebody working for you for free.
That is good. Well, y', all, I love y' all to life. I'm tired. I'm dog tired. Leave me alone. Oswald. I'll be talking about you. Always sleeping.
It's almost 10 o' clock over here. And I woke up at 4am.
And I got walk like a dog today, baby. Me and Blue been at it, child.
So thank y'. All. I hope y' all got something out of this. I sure did. I mean, we, you know, we got some good stuff as well. I sure wish you had a way to tell me of another way that we can get some free. Some free virtual assistants over here. I was hoping you had the hookup of something great.
But you have a friend who's doing it for you for free.
Even an intern. I'm not ready for an intern yet. Because if I do, if I do get someone, I want them to last for a while. I don't feel like dealing with an intern right now.
All right, y'. All. So I love y' all to life. We've been on here and if y' all need me, hit me at Support Solutions by tj.com Again that support@solutionsbytj.com Y' all have an amazing week. And I love y' all to life. Take it easy. Bye.
