In this motivational YouTube talk, Steve D Valentine challenges real‑estate agents who feel stuck in a miserable, transactional grind. He argues that a realtor’s identity should not be defined solely by sales activity; instead, agents should become “experiential” realtors who draw on personal investment experience, empathy, and a broader skill set. Valentine urges agents to change their environment, commit to daily learning—especially in modern investment principles and AI—to boost personal confidence and shift from a sales‑focused mindset to an attraction‑focused one. He emphasizes building personal net worth and experiences as foundations for future income and opportunities. To support this transformation, he promotes his community “More Than a Realtor,” inviting viewers to join weekly sessions, visit his website, and follow him on Instagram, with the ultimate goal of improving the industry through collaboration and personal growth.

Does your life suck as a real estate agent? I ask that question genuinely because I believe that people paint a pretty picture about this, and the reality is they're dying inside. And I know because I've been that agent before, um, and it wasn't until I got out of the minutia of the industry that I realized there was so much more to being a realtor and so much more value that I could provide to my clients if I learned not just to be a transactional realtor, but to be an experiential real estate agent. And experiential means like, look, if I'm going to tell you to buy an investment property, it's probably because I bought something similar and I've worked through the numbers and I've been through it. I can show you the blind spots because of the experience that I've had being in your seat. Because then you can empathize with somebody because you have been in that position with them and you know what they're feeling and you're able to guide them through it. So if your real estate business sucks, it's actually— I would encourage you to change your environment and get your head out of the sand and what has been the same old thing for so long and look at all the different options that are out there and learn new things on a daily basis? Like, where can you apply new investment principles? Or what are some of the things that you could be learning right now in the AI side of things that would make you more valuable? And where are you focusing on your personal success and foundation so that your confidence is better for your business and the consumer? You see, it's no longer a sales game, it's an attraction game. And how are you attracting people through who you are and your conversations? And again, if your real estate business sucks, let's change the environment. You want to learn more about these things and becoming that person, those opportunities, then join me. Steve Valentine, right? And I have a community called More Than a Realtor. And by the way, I'm probably gonna get freaking dinged for that eventually, but it is what it is. And here's why I believe it. Realtor is what we do. It is not who we are. And I believe that we're more than, and I believe that we can make the industry better when we're more than, because there's more experience to add, there's more collaboration to be had, and there truly is more than enough business for everybody. But the reality is, it's not just the business side. It's what are you doing to grow your personal net worth, your experiences, because those give you the ability to create more income and opportunity down the road. Rather than just being stuck in the shitty real estate life. So join me on Wednesdays, check out my website stevedvalentine.com, follow me on Instagram, and hey, I'm just looking to make the industry better.
