How Celtic Salt Instanly Hydrates the Skin

Tawana explains why plain water doesn't hydrate skin and recommends Celtic sea salt instead of table salt. Celtic salt contains 70 trace minerals like potassium that help cells absorb water. Her method: divide your body weight by two for daily ounces of water, add a pinch of Celtic salt to each glass. She says it reduced her eczema and dried lips.

Hey, it's Tawana here from Sappy Lou. Just want to share one specific tip that's going to help you improve your skin if you are diligent. Great skin health starts from the inside out. So of course we have wonderful beauty products for you, natural skin care that we recommend for chronic skin conditions such as acne, eczema, or just plain old dry, oily, whatever type of skin, um, whatever skin type that you might want to encourage us to take better care of ourselves internally so that we can possibly minimize the recurrences that we have of these different skin issues. Water. And we hear this all the time. I know we hear it all the time— increase your water intake. But does this really help with improvement of the skin? Some say yes, some say no. There's conflicting, um, information that you might run into surfing around on the internet or just doing your own research. My take, based on my own experiences, um, is that water does improve the appearance of my skin. The problem is that we're possibly not absorbing enough water. So we could be drinking enough but not absorbing enough. Many people, you know, say that they drink lots and lots of water, it just flushes right out. Sodium chloride, in other words, table salt. Yes, table salt is a big culprit as it relates to, um, not the cells not being able to absorb water adequately because it's lacking all the other essential minerals that aid in water absorption into the cell wall or beyond the cell wall into the cell. What are the effects of that? I won't go too deeply into it. but it could ultimately lead to high blood pressure because there's so much pressure on the, uh, wall of the cell for the water to get in, but it can't because there's not enough potassium. So you have the sodium chloride, which is essential. However, that alone with the absence of the other minerals is not good. So, um, that's where the blood pressure, high blood pressure comes from. It's actual pressure on the cells for the water to get into the— table salt is about 97% sodium chloride. The other small 3% or so is pretty much fillers like MSG, aluminum, things that are highly toxic and detrimental to our skin, but our overall health in particular. So we definitely want to just kick the, the table salt. What do we use as an alternative is the natural salt, which is sea salt, preferably Celtic sea salt, which is what I wanted to introduce to you today. Celtic sea salt, if you've never heard of it or never seen it, you can find it at your local health food store. It is a salt that appears almost a grayish color, definitely not totally white. You'll see a difference, and sometimes it has a moist texture still because of the potassium and its ability to absorb or extract water out of the atmosphere. So that's what it does, it actually hydrates your body as opposed to sodium. Chloride. There are about 70 of the essential minerals that our body needs that are contained in Celtic sea salt. So find the highest quality Celtic that you can. You know, you're going to hear different sources say different things. I think it depends upon your, your body mass, among other things, but a general, a general formula is to take your body weight, divide it by 2, and that equals the minimum number of ounces that you should ingest daily. Minimum daily intake of water. So every other glass that you drink, you can put a pinch of, a small pinch of Celtic sea salt, and that should be sufficient. I've been doing it for a while now, and I feel more energetic. I'm starting to see a difference in my skin. Living in the— here in the Midwest, every year my lips get really dry, which you could probably see, and my eczema starts to flare. And I do a good job of keeping it at bay using Sappy Lou Eczema Milk prior to an outbreak. Um, so this year is not as bad, and I'm implementing the Celtic with water. Now, I also cook with Celtic sea salt, which is absolutely fine. It's delicious. Um, some people use Himalayan, which— that's not a bad idea. It just does not contain as many minerals that the Celtic— but Himalayan is definitely better than just regular white sea salt. I'm not sure the mineral content, but I don't trust it personally. It's white, it looks pretty refined to me, um, or it looks demineralized. But do your research. Let me know how it works out for you. Implement the Celtic into your regimen and see if you don't feel some changes and some differences and see a difference in the appearance of your skin. You should experience more absorption in the intestines, meaning that you're going to flush and eliminate excess waste. So it definitely increases digestion, which is wonderful. And the decrease of toxins, you're going to have more invigorating appearance in your skin. You're going to have that glow, and you're going to feel really good about yourself. You're gonna— when your cells are hydrated with H2O, hydrogen and oxygen, you're gonna, um, you're just gonna feel exuberant. So not only increase your water intake— well, increasing your water intake, um, alone is good, but try the Celtic. Let me know what you think. Of course, I'm not a doctor, I'm not an I'm only letting you know what works for me, and what works for me, I love to share that with you all. So enjoy and let me know how it works for you.
