Peace and blessings. Dr. Taj here of Sappy Life Wellness, here to demonstrate for you today Nada Yoga, which is a meditation that is very powerful for those who are striving to impact their healing process, their self-healing process. This meditation is vital. A few facts about meditation in general and nada yoga or nada meditation specifically, okay? So Everything in creation has a vibration or a reverberance, meaning that everything is vibrating at some rate or other. And anything that has a vibration, more than likely there's going to be a sound associated with it. So one common sound that you may have heard before in a lot of meditation chants would be the Om sound, which is not Om, uh, it's actually Om. Now the significance of this sound when uttered together is profound in that it activates the chakra or the energy centers throughout the entire body. Each sound, which is broken down into Ah, uh, and mm are actually the same utterance, you will hear a change in the sound as you close your mouth. We're not actually changing the utterance, we're only gently closing our mouth. So as that happens, you will hear a change in the utterance, which changes where the reverberance or the reverberation is taking place within the body. Ah sound. The reverberation is in this region, which is near the root chakra or the womb chakra in that area, which is the major energy center in the body. It's where all 72,000 nadis or energy centers or chakras, whatever you want to call it, are located. So once we utter the sound ah, it energizes and it actually activates this powerful energy center, releasing a lot of the blockages that we may have there, whether that's from childhood trauma, present-day adult trauma. Um, it also allows us to release a lot of emotions from the past. It allows us to dissolve negative, pent-up, um, false beliefs of ourselves as a result of the pain and harm and abuse and damage that we may have gone through, um, that we find really hard to release on our own. So in essence, I mean, and among other things, but in essence, you can see why it's so important that we utter the sound The next sound would be This reverberation you'll be able to feel in this upper region more so behind and beneath your rib cage. So as you utter the sound, uh, you will feel the reverberation, and it impacts the energy centers in this area as well, activates the lung, the lobes of the lung, and the sound reverberates from here and moves upward. Helping again to impact the flow of energy, helping to energize and radiate throughout the body. We have the "mm" utterance or sound, which reverberates from the neck upward out through the crown chakra. This is very, very significant. It has a profound impact on psychological imbalances, mood issues, issues dealing with concentration. So it's great for children, adults as well, but for children who are having a hard time, uh, maybe concentrating or executing. I know there are a lot of people dealing with children with certain, um, attention disorders, and you know, they get really, really frustrated and have no way or no understanding as to how to deal with their children, try this meditation. Sometimes uttering the sound, "Mm," with your child or refer this to someone who you know that's dealing with those issues, it has a profound impact on their attention span. And so if you have any other disturbances such as nightmares, profound fear, and more significant is the utterance of all 3 sounds. And practicing this for a few minutes a day is going to make a tremendous difference and a tremendous impact on your overall health, your mental state. In your level of happiness. This is a way to experience tremendous joy, release anger and frustration, manage stress, and also just live a happy life from the inside out. It's particularly impactful for those with breathing disorders as it activates all three lobes of the lungs. For those who have weak constitutions, who, you know, if you're always sick, you always have issues, your health is just constantly up and down, this is a great, great practice to start off with and to implement for yourself and your family. And, uh, it— the utterance of all three sounds activates all three segments of the body. Lower, middle, upper, which is necessary to derive the level of happiness, the level of zeal and energy that we all want to experience and live a greater life, healthier manifestations and healthier experiences while we live. So let's get started. This meditation, the utterance of Ah, uh, and mm are chanted separately 7 times each. You will sit with your legs crossed, spine gently erect, eyes closed, with palm facing upward on your— rested on your knees. So it's easy, it's simple. Let's get started. First, I will demonstrate the sound "ah." You will utter "ah" 7 times with with your eyes closed.
Next, I will demonstrate the sound /ə/ as in "up" with your mouth slightly rounded, and I'll demonstrate.
/ə/ You will utter this sound 7 times as well and ensure that you are uttering to complete exhaustion, until you have no breath left in your body. The last and final sound is "mm." I will demonstrate. Allow deep breaths in between each utterance. So you will utter each sound 7 times. So let's try together with your eyes closed.
Spine gently erect, palms on knees facing upward. Let's try together.
