A trader explains a 2:1 risk-to-reward take-profit strategy: set your stop-loss amount, then draw a box to double that in profit. Targeting modest 2R gains instead of chasing bigger rewards gives you higher win rates and steadier results.

The way that I like to operate with my, you know, trading TP is super simple. Whatever amount that I'm risking, like for example, my stop loss is like that, I will literally just draw a box all the way to when this number says 2. That means I'm getting 2 risk-to-reward ratio, which means if I'm risking $1,000 on this, I stand to make $2,000 from this if I end up winning the trade. And believe it or not, small as that number may sound and as insignificant as, you know, this may feel, this 2R is like the moneymaker because when you go for like smaller targets, you tend to win a lot more often, right? You get a lot more consistent and that alone does wonders to your trading psychology.
