why losing $500 on a A+ setup doesn't matter

Two order-block trades on consecutive days: a $2,000 win on EUR and a $500 loss on oil. Both setups were identical, but the oil trade got stopped out before hitting its target. The point is that individual losses don't matter if your strategy wins over time.

So I'm about to break down two exactly similar trades that I took yesterday. One of them ended up making about $2,000 and the other one ended up losing me $500. So what gives if they're the exact same setup? Well, let's get into it. So this is the first one on euro right here that I took yesterday around the New York morning, took advantage of this newly formed order block and then took advantage of price to just kind of give a continuation. Now prior to that, price has already been pumping. So I was literally just taking advantage of again around 9:00 AM New York, just taking advantage of continuation. Let's move on to this other trade here on oil, very similar, except I took this on London. As you can see on the chart, this is pretty much the same thing where I had an order block. I took advantage of the order block, but ended up getting stopped out. Price did not even hit the TP, but overall this was a very similar setup. So the point I'm trying to make here is that just because you have a high probability setup, you're not going to win all the time, right? In trading, you can do everything right and still be wrong sometimes, and Sometimes you can do everything wrong and you can still make money. The point is not the immediate short term. It's the point is not to focus on the results of, you know, individual trades, right? It's all about the long term. I understand from my data that as long as I'm taking continuation trades like this at around good timing zones, in this case, this was during the London session, then I'm going to make more money than I lose. And so I trust in the data and every time that setup comes around, I take it regardless of if I go through a 5 or 10 losing streak taking that exact setup. It's not I'm just going to doubt it, right? Because it's something that works and the data has shown it.
