In this 20‑minute guided fitness session, Master T (Theresa Byrne) combines martial‑arts‑style striking, mobility, and strength drills to help viewers move their bodies, release tension, and boost mood. She opens by explaining her philosophy that motion creates emotion, then leads a progressive warm‑up (leg kicks, hip circles, calf stretches) before moving into upper‑body strikes (gentle punches, uppercuts, elbows, high blocks, palm strikes) and lower‑body conditioning (lunges with jab, speed‑bag stance, sumo squats, knee‑kick combos). Throughout she offers alignment cues, knee‑friendly modifications, breathing reminders, and motivational prompts to let go of stress and welcome new energy. The session ends with hip stretches and a closing encouragement to carry the positive momentum into daily life.

Big dance, girl. Hey, hi, Master T Theresa Byrne here. And if you're in a place where you've got some energy, you want to move anything through your body, and maybe you want to get a little exercise in, I would love to help you do that, starting with some gentle punches across the body. I say gentle, but you know, they are whatever kinds of punches that you need to do. I am a master instructor, fitness trainer, have been for many years, owned a martial arts and fitness studio in Colorado. And, uh, have been working— was working in fitness and martial arts, and I love all of it. I love all the body stuff. Why? Because moving our bodies actually changes our emotion. Motion creates emotion. So being able to move your body, no matter what space your head or your mindset is in, it can change everything. All right, we're gonna do a little leg warm-up. You're just gonna pick up your leg and kick towards your booty. Now, if you've got knee issues, just pick up that foot. Go side to side and Pick up that foot. If you've got good knees, your knees are happy, then you can kick all the way up. Get a little stretch. Good. Now we're gonna bring it to the front. Now, if you want to, you can grab on or tap your calf muscle or your ankle, depending on your flexibility. We're just warming up. Just getting a little energy flowing. I don't know about you, but I could sure use it. It's been a heck— Of a week. Heck of a week, heck of a few months, and I am ready, ready for what's new. And, uh, I know that these workouts, these movement videos, are for me as well as you. So hopefully you like them. Good. Now we're going to bring up our knee, and if you want to, you can tap, or you can use your arm, or if you're feeling pretty flexy, go with that elbow. Just don't jam your elbow. Into your knee. Good. Let me know, what, what are you letting go of? What are you releasing? What do you want to release so that you can bring in the new? 4, 3, 2, 1. Nice. Go ahead and rotate your arms forward, starting with bent elbows and then extending if it feels comfortable. And while I'm doing this, I also like to— Stretch. My calves. So I'm working my calves. Breathing in, breathing out. Rotate. Front. Ah, good. Up and down. Feels good, right? Yes. Good. Hip circle. Hip circle. And you can do these quickly or you can do them slow. If you feel your tendon going in front of your hip bone, the whatever, the hip joint, your socket, and it bugs you, just go a little bit lower. It's still a good stretch. If you've got the flexibility and it doesn't bother you, you can also bring it up. 2 and 1. Nice. I want you to take a nice easy stance. You are very aligned. And I want you to think about sinking here, and we're just going to uppercut. So you're punching across your body, rotating your shoulders, and in the sinking of it, you're using more of your abs. Sound is okay? It says AirPods going on and off, so I apologize. I've been having technical issues. 4, 3, 2, and 1. Nice, good. Shake it out. So we're gonna do another combination. Elbow, elbow, elbow, elbow. Good. Rotate your lower body, working sideways. Punch across your— actually, punch elbow across your body. Breathing in, breathing out. I've got to set a timer. Whoops. You know those days when you're like, man, I am just lucky that I'm alive. I'm lucky that I'm here. I'm having one of those. 3, 2, 1. Nice. Now we do a little lower body work. So one of my least favorite are lunges, but if you give me something to do with a lunge, then I might enjoy it. So you're gonna take a lunge down to your level of comfort, come up and jab cross. Lunge, 1, 2. Lunge, 1, 2. Lunge, 1, 2. Lunge, 1, 2. Lunge, 1, 2. Making sure your front knee never goes in front of your toes. Good. Now hold it down and speed bag. And you can bounce on this if you want to. Again, monitoring your knee, making sure it doesn't go in front of your toes, making sure it's aligned. 2 and 1. Nice. Come up, switch. Other leg comes back. And you're in whatever lunge is comfortable for you. So you're gonna go down, come up and punch. Down, up and punch. Boom! Down, punch. Bob, punch. Bob, punch. 3, 2, 1. Hold it down. Now bring your arms towards you. And again, making sure your knee is not in front of your toes, making sure your knee is aligned. We always want alignment. 3, 2, 1. Excellent. All right, my second favorite thing, uh, ever is a sumo squat. So sumo squat, toes are facing out, you're going to drop to the center. And again, depending on— you want to have your knees over your ankles. So we're going to sumo squat up and down. Good, good. You should feel this. You know what, honestly, it's so interesting because You will feel it wherever your body is working the hardest. So let's say your quad muscles— these are your quadriceps— are tired, you're gonna feel it here. Let's say your adductors, they're tired, you're gonna feel it there. Everyone feels muscles. We're using similar muscles, but you might feel it differently. Now hold it down. We're gonna hold and hook. Hook, hook, hook, like you're driving a car. Boom, boom, boom, boom. Boom, boom, boom. Eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. Nice. Shake it out. Okay. Next move is a high block. You're blocking something from coming at your head. So I want you to think boom, boom, boom. It's good for your shoulder muscles. Now, what could you do with your legs? Well, you could take a lunge position. Or you could take a small squat, a light squat. Boom, boom. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Nice. Now hold that squat position, and I want you to think about extending your arm across so you're rotating your shoulders and you're working your core muscles. Nice. And this is called a palm strike. It is a very cool self-defense move. I usually teach it when I'm teaching people who've not trained in martial arts, because a palm is a big area you can usually make contact with. 4, 3, 2, and 1. Nice. Shake it off. Okay, now we're going to do a kicking move. Knee, set down, kick. Knee, kick. You can leave that leg behind you, or in front of you, but you're going to go knee, kick. Knee, kick. Knee, kick. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. And breathe. 1, and you never have to go the speed that I go. You choose you. Knee, tap, kick. Knee, kick. Knee, kick. Good. Knee, kick. Knee, whatever speed is comfortable for you. I'll count it. You don't have to, just do it. Knee, kick. Knee, kick. We're also working balance on the other side. You might find yourself starting to waver. That's balance. 4, 3, 2, last one. Awesome job. Okay, last thing I'm gonna do is gonna have you do stretches for your hips. If you are feeling stressed, if you've got stress in your life, a lot of times our low back, our hips, we can start to feel a difference there. And when we are also sitting a lot, we get these muscles A little more tense. So I'm just gonna let them know they can be okay, they can relax. Wherever you are in the world, whatever time of day it is, I hope that you're doing well, and thank you for joining me. Go out and make the world a better place however you do you. Thank you. Thank you.
