In this 10‑minute guided workout, Theresa Byrne ("Master T") leads viewers through a progressive series of mobility, boxing, and conditioning drills designed to warm up the body, improve alignment, and boost confidence. The session opens with shoulder and upper‑back mobility exercises (arm circles, forward arm swings, and overhead releases) that target tension from daily stress. She then introduces boxing fundamentals—uppercuts, hooks, and jab‑cross combos—explaining hand positioning, breathing, and self‑defense intent while encouraging participants to adjust speed to their comfort level. The routine moves into core‑engaging moves such as opposite‑knee taps, cross‑body blocks, and hip‑opening drills, followed by a larger arm‑stirring release for the shoulders. A series of punching combinations (jab, cross, hook, uppercut) are practiced at varying tempos, culminating in added back‑knee and kick movements for full‑body conditioning. Throughout, Master T emphasizes the connection between body, mind, and spirit, framing movement as a way to cultivate an "indomitable spirit" and encouraging gratitude at the close. The tone is instructional, energetic, and supportive, aiming to help viewers reclaim physical strength and mental resilience through consistent, mindful movement.

Hi, Theresa Byrne, Master T here. If you are in the mood for some movement, or even if you just feel like you should do some movement, or you want to do some movement, I will invite you in to do a little play with me, a little music, a little movement, just to kind of get your blood pumping and your body warmed up. So let's start with shoulders. I have been doing a conference, a women's leadership conference for the last couple of days, and I feel really lucky that I got to teach them some ways of keeping their bodies aligned. It's not just about our minds or our spirits. Our bodies are also housing our minds and our spirits. And now take your arms forward. A lot of us will have stress or, oh, I don't know, tightness and constriction, especially in our upper back and shoulders. So these little arm circles can help to release the muscle pressure at the top of your shoulders, right? It's like carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. All right, now cross in front. And if you've got the flexibility, you don't want to reach back behind you, that's fine. If not, you can just think about opening up your arms. And I always like to move back and forth, getting my body ready for the movement. All right, now bring your arms up and down like you're throwing something away. Maybe you're picking apples and throwing them into a basket, or maybe you're like, I am done feeling this I'm done feeling that. Good. Release and let your shoulders enjoy the movement. And rotate, rotate, rotate. If you can, keep your eyes forward because you can actually start to feel some release in your spine. I've had people do these workouts and be amazed by the fact that their bodies will crack, crack, crack because that's where they needed to be. Awesome. All right, let's do some uppercut punches. Help warm up your midsection. So an uppercut, your palm is facing you, your thumb always goes on the outside, and you're just going to rotate and— good. If you were using these in a self-defense situation, you would most likely go up to someone's chin, and that's kind of where we'll aim. You can use your own chin. And thank you so much for taking care of your body. Thank you. Seriously, we are better served, we do more work, more of the stuff we came here to do when our bodies and our minds and our spirits are aligned. And movement, one of the best things you can do. All right, give me 4 more. 3, 2, and 1. Good. Now we're gonna go into hook punches. So your palm is facing flat, you're still doing that fist, and you're hooking. And you can do this Slowly. I tended to go kind of fast. The way that my energy works, it does tend to go a little turbo, and I recognize that. Breathing in and breathing out. Hook, hook, hook, hook. Great self-defense punch. Boom, boom. But for right now, we're just using it to warm up our body and reclaim that strength. Good. We're gonna do hook, Hook, uppercut, uppercut. Hook, hook, up, up. What? Hook, hook, up, up. Hook, hook, up, up. Now if you like these and maybe you are a turbo person too and you want to go a little faster, I wouldn't stop you. Hook, hook, up, up. 1, 2, 3, 4. Let's see what you got. I love that you're doing this for your body, even if it's just 10 minutes a couple of times a day. Man, it can really, really help our bodies get aligned and release what doesn't serve us anymore. 3, 2, and 1. Nice. Now I want you to reach out your hands and you're gonna tap your opposite knee. Good. Reach, knee, knee, knee, knee. And let's make your body your friend. So I, uh, one of the things that I do when I speak Because I talk about how our body and our mind and our system, we can really be our own BFF or we can be our own frenemy, right? Frenemy is the one that pretends it's got your best interests at heart, but truly it's not looking out for you. So let's be your own BFF. 3, 2, 1. Nice. Now next section, same thing with the knees. You're gonna bring your arm outside, knee outside. Buck, buck, buck. Block. And you're using all these great little abdominal, your side abdominal muscles. Boom, boom, boom, boom. And should you need to use this as a block, they're great. Good, now you're gonna cross your body. So same thing with the knee and the elbow, you're just crossing your body. And if you can't cross your body and reach for your elbow, arm, arm, arm, or hand, hand. Arm, arm, arm, or hand, hand. Hand. Nice. 3, 2, 1. All right, now we're gonna take our hips to the outside, opening up that joint, that flexibility. Breathing in, breathing out. Nice. Now we're gonna do an arm release. It's one of my very favorites. You're gonna bend over and you're gonna circle your arm. Like you're stirring a pot. And this is a great release for your shoulders, your upper back. And switch direction. This is the only kind of pot I like to stir. 3, 2, 1. Good. Now switch arms to the other side. Big circles, little circles, whatever kind of circles you want. It's your circle. You call it. Switch directions. Whatever is most comfortable to you. 4, 3, 2, 1. Nice, shake it off. All right, we're gonna do a punching combination. 4 punches, and we tie in, in most boxing systems, jab, cross, 1 and 2, 3 and 4. 1, 2, hook, up. 1, 2, hook, up. And we did those hooks and uppercuts at the beginning, so they should seem a little bit familiar. Nice. Making sure you're rotating your body. Now you can go any speed that you want. We're doing 4 punches, and you can count these 4 punches, and you might even want to go faster. I wouldn't stop you. And what would faster look like? We'll do it on a turbo speed. Last one slow-ish. Go! 1, 2, hook, up. 1, 2, 3, 4. 1, 2, 3, 4. 2, 3, 4. Hook, up. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Nice! Switch to the other side. Jab, cross, hook, uppercut. 1, 2, hook, up. 1, 2, hook, up. 1, 2, hook, up. And these are simple moves. You don't have to Push your entire body weight out. You don't have to force anything. Just breathe through it. Let your body move. I do love punching. I love punching. I love it all! And you guys help me want to be a better puncher, kicker, and do these videos more. So thank you. All right, we're gonna speed it up. Last one this speed. Go! 1, 2, hook, up. And again, you don't have to go fast. You can keep it that slower version. Perfectly fine. Boom pow boom pow. Eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, and one. We are gonna add on to that. What? Master Chief, what are you thinking? Jab, cross, hook, uppercut, and you're gonna do a back knee and a kick. One, two, three, four, reach. Knee, kick. 1, 2, 3, 4. Reach, knee, kick it. Doesn't matter how high your kick goes, just kick it out. And you're punching as fast as you want. You might want to go 1, 2, 3, 4, and that's fine. You might want to go 1, 2, 3, 4. Just keep doing it. Jab, cross, hook, up, down. Jab, cross, hook, up, down. Knee, kick. Couple more. Nice. Last one. Boom, boom, boom, boom. Knee, kick. Switch sides. Jab, cross, hook, up, knee, bam. 1, 2, 1, 2, knee, kick. 1, 2, 1, 2, knee, kick. 1, 2, 1, 2, knee, kick. Kick. Good. Whatever else you do today, at least you've gotten this done. So proud of you. And really, the secret to our strength, it's not in our minds. It's oftentimes our minds that will stop us. It's that spirit, that perseverance. In martial arts, we teach something called indomitable spirit, and that is like your unbreakable you. Your unstoppable you-ness. The part of you that will just keep going. Good. Last one. Knee kick. Nice. Shake it off. All right, I'd like to end every one of these workouts with just a second of gratitude. So I want you just to be thankful. Thank your body where it is right now. Thank your system. My heels off. Thanks for letting me be your instructor. I hope you have a marvelous day. I hope you have a marvelous week. I hope you have a marvelous month.
