Theresa Byrne leads quick stretches for desk workers: arm circles, torso rotations, hip circles, knee swings, and cross-midline movements to get blood flowing and relieve forward-leaning tension. Do them whenever you stand up from your desk.

I am fixing the world, or at least my world, my version of the world. So let's say that you've got some— you get up from your desk and you want to know what to do to stretch your body out. So let's start doing a few things. I'll give you even an idea you can use if you have a chair. So start upper body. Good. You just kind of get up from your chair. You want to get your blood flowing. You want to get yourself shifting, your energy back. Nice. And so these were cross in front, up and down, and then bring your arms back, circles, bring your arms forward. And these are easy. These are things you can just do quickly. Good. And then reach back behind you, get a little rotation. Oftentimes, uh, that our backs can, I don't know, kind of feel a little bit stressed when we're sitting because we're always forward motion, right? We're always sitting forward. So getting some rotation in is great. Hip circles. And again, just a couple of minutes. You could do a couple of these when you stand up from your desk. Switch sides. And I'll even give them something you can do with your chair. My name is Theresa Byrne, Master Tea. Thank you for joining in. As always, push on the sides. Nice. Good. Now you can put your hand on your chair And you're just gonna swing your knee and then let it flow back behind you. So knee, knee, knee, and you're just letting that knee get the blood flowing. And I would suggest 10 each side, making sure there's nothing behind you. Oh, I'm kicking stuff. And if you, you just let your hip go behind you, you pull it up, knee up, and let it go. 2, 1. Nice. Also knee circle. Nice. Just a couple of quick moves that you can do to get that blood flowing. And if you want to, you can also just do some punches. I like uppercuts, especially because they're good for our abs. Good abs. Breathing. Cross some knees. If you're doing a lot of math or stuff that requires you to think, I like crossing the midline of the body. And then you can just shake it out, kick it out, shake it out, shake out your body. So there you go, just a couple of quick moves to do upper body. I also recommend rotating your neck, but you can determine like how much you want to do. Some shoulder rolls, just some very simple moves if you get up from your desk and you want to get your blood flowing in between working out or a movement class or anything else. Thank you so much for joining in.
