In this motivational monologue, the speaker expands the concept of "practice" beyond formal skill training to encompass any repeated, intentional actions we perform daily—such as sleep routines, eating habits, movement choices, and mindset cultivation. Using concrete examples like parking farther away to increase steps, the speaker urges listeners to reflect on what they are actively practicing in each moment, framing these habits as the building blocks of one’s life and future progress.

Let's talk about the idea of practice. Practice is whatever you continually do over and over. That is not the Webster's definition, by the way, but a practice is everything that you build so that you can move forward. Martial arts is a practice. It's not just you show up once and they give you a black belt because you did a great job in a class. It's a continuation. So I would ask you, what are you practicing? Anytime I'm on vacation or I'm at home or wherever I am, I have certain practices. I have sleep practices. I have eating practices. I have the ways that I set up my movement or workout. I always park far away if I'm driving somewhere so that I get the practice of extra steps. So it's really truly all about what are we putting into each day, each moment, each opportunity that creates that practice. So I would ask the same of you. What are you practicing today? Are you practicing a good mindset? Are you practicing a healthy mindset? Are you practicing staying stuck? Are you practicing moving forward? What are you practicing? Because that practice starts to become your life.
