Doubt is the fear you create yourself, not the danger around you. It freezes you in analysis paralysis and feeds imposter syndrome. Recognizing it as self-generated, not real threat, is how you move past it and keep growing.

A lot of times when we feel doubt, we'll stop. We won't do something. Analysis paralysis. We figure if we keep examining, thinking about, planning, or outlining, that we will end up doing it better or right, but sometimes we never end up doing it. So doubt can oftentimes stop us. It stops us in our tracks. It's one of the most critically underrated feelings that we have. And if you think about the idea of imposter syndrome, imposter syndrome, you've heard of that, and that is doubt in your abilities. I've been promoted too high. I've come too far. They'll see that I'm not this good, or I can't do that stuff. It's not true. And really, it's just an inward-based fear. Most of the time when we're afraid of something, it's external. It's danger outside of us. It's being rejected or let down or something that feels uncomfortable or unsafe. But doubt is an internal fear.
