Six students from Scarborough/Kinder High School describe how The Scary Guy's program changed their behavior and school culture. They cite a cost of about £1.50 to £2 per student over four years and urge the school to bring him back to reach more students.

I think he was really, really brilliant and he did a good job of getting the message across to us.
I just think he was really good and you'll probably never see anything like him again in your life, so just really, just really try and take it in.
I think he was a really good person. I think the way he got his message across was really good because it was very memorable and I think lots of people are talking about it.
I think he was a great man and he taught us all a really good lesson. I think The Scary Guy was a great man.
They brought us in, and the day that we did in Scarborough at Kinder High School was incredible. It was all day like that with all the kids in the whole school. And in one day, in one week, He saw something he's never seen happen, which was all those kids loving one another. From hating violence in the hallways to hugging. Sounds cheesy, doesn't it? But it worked.
The coolest part about the program in Scarborough is once you teach a child, for instance, in a secondary level how to teach this program, and what we do is we integrate the system into the school. This is not us coming to you and saying, "Here's how it's done." put it on top of all the other things you're already doing. No! This is an integration. We give you some information, we help you understand how it works. You take the data and you help integrate it into your classrooms through curriculum.
I think we should have The Scary Guy back in school because I think his message needs to be spread throughout the school so everyone knows what really is happening in the world. And just to let everybody know that we need to stop what's happening in the world as well.
Because he just taught such a good lesson and everyone just benefited from him. So the more you get of him, the more you'll learn. So it just can't be a bad thing having him in again.
I think we should have him back because he makes everyone listen to him and he tells the truth about everything. Everything he's got to say is the truth and he'll tell you straight and he gets the point across really well. I think he's just a great man to get the message across to everyone.
I think it'll probably make a lot of difference because if he comes back then and more people hear it, I think the word will spread a lot further, and if there was more people like him, then I think maybe prejudice would be less.
That is a minute financial responsibility. When you run the numbers over the 4 years, it's like £2 or £1.5 a student a year. Gimme a break.
