I've been talking to agents and brokers about transaction coordination, and there's another part of this conversation that's impossible to ignore: the cost. Depending on the service, an agent can spend hundreds of dollars for transaction coordination on a single closing, and if they're doing that repeatedly throughout the year, it adds up very quickly. But there are also agents who don't hire a Transaction coordinator at all. They're doing the work themselves. So there really are two problems: some agents are paying for the transaction support each and every time they close, and others are paying for it with their time.
